Didn't you like the first one ?

I thought season one was great, it was better than the latest Star Wars movie that came out lol...I read somewhere that the storytelling coming into Season 2 was going to have a Game of thrones type feel with multiple storylines running together...

Everything We Know About That Terrifying 'Mandalorian' Spider

We won’t lie; it was a pretty terrifying morning for those of us staying up late to watch Chapter 10 of The Mandalorian—alone, in the dark. And an extra terrifying morning for us arachnophobes staying up to watch The Mandalorian—alone, in the dark. Because … why did they need an ice spider? Of all the creatures in the galaxy, why a spider? For the love of god, why?

So far this series, we’ve been deeper into monster hunting than Baby Yoda escorting—and after last week’s sandworm hunt (or dragon quest?), The Mandalorian is starting to resemble more The Witcher’s medieval creature vanquishing than anything involving conflicts in space.

Still, Star Wars is equally famous for its monsters as for its lightspeed travels. Previous ice planet beasts include Hoth’s Wampa, which captured Luke Skywalker after the Battle of Hoth.

In fairness to the ice spiders in The Mandalorian, Mando and Baby Yoda did crash land in their home. And Baby Yoda ate one of the babies (the second species of baby Baby Yoda ate during the episode; he’s cute and all, but that’s nasty.)

So as much as they creep us out, here are some things to know about those ice spiders, also called “knobby white spider” and “Krykna.”

The Krykna spider almost appeared in The Empire Strikes Back

The spider goes all the way back before 1980 and Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Artist Ralph McQuarrie originally drew the spider as a concept for "knobby white spiders" originally meant to be shown on Dagobah, Yoda's planet.

The concept was shelved for over two decades before appearing on screen in 2014's animated series Star Wars Rebels. By then, the name had changed to "Krykna," but the creature remained just as terrifying.

The Krykna likely live on various planets

According to Wookieepedia, the Krykna is native to Atollon, a rocky desert planet. It is also resistant to blaster bolts as well as fire, because of its tough skin. (It’s not clear whether their bite is lethal, as it seemed as though one spider atop Baby Yoda’s head could have done him in.) The Krykna that Mando encounters seem more easily killable (and edible), though it could be that this particular colony (hive?) isn’t as strong under the wintery conditions.

Still, as far as beasts go in the Star Wars universe, the Krykna are pretty terrifying. And since they inhabit multiple planets, it may not be the last time we see them. Yikes.

The facial expressions of the frog alien in the Razor Crest ship with the Mandalorian in the second episode were really funny.

I just watched episode 4 of season 2, wow!, I really liked this one, and a huge reveal at the last 30 seconds!...Things are about to go wide open lol...

The super soldiers look bad ass, they must be androids but could be cyber units, not sure yet, but now the Empire can track Mandalorian's ship I think there's going to be a huge cliffhanger coming...

Season 2 episodes are about the same length as season 1, they haven't changed that...
