There's something fishy going on

Why is it that children are vulnerable to all other viruses and ailments that are only treatable with time?

Are Children’s Immune Systems Stronger than Adults?
Research shows that young people do NOT have immune systems as efficient as adults. Children may be prone to contact a viral infection, and take more time to recover from it. This is true for a number of reasons. Kids are constantly growing and they eat more food, drink more water, and breathe more air than adults do.

Knowing this to be fact, why weren't children placed under protection from covid from the very start?

In any case, children that do become infected are still less likely to get sick with covid-19 and die – a similar trend to that seen with SARS or MERS, two other severe diseases caused by coronaviruses. So, what is protecting children?

“No one has a good answer to that question yet,” says Iwasaki. But she and other experts suspect it may be down to the unique way children’s immune systems respond to these viruses.

A common complication of covid-19, SARS and MERS in adults is acute respiratory distress syndrome, where the immune response against the coronavirus becomes overzealous and causes life-threatening damage to the lungs.

The resulting leakage of fluid and immune cells into the lungs causes big problems, says Chris van Tulleken at University College London. Even if those immune responses are trying to help by attacking the virus, they can end up blocking oxygen uptake in the lungs, he says.

Because children’s immune systems are still developing, one suggestion is that they are shielded from this type of dangerous immune response – called a cytokine storm – when they get covid-19 or similar diseases. During the SARS outbreak, two studies found children produced relatively low levels of inflammation-driving cytokines, which may have been what protected their lungs from serious damage.

That doesn’t explain why children’s immune systems react differently to coronaviruses compared with flu. It might be due to differences in the type of cytokine response produced against each virus, says Iwasaki.

Children may also be benefiting from their lack of past exposure to coronaviruses generally. Because they have lived longer, adults are more likely than children to have encountered other coronaviruses in their lives, such as those that cause coughs and cold, and to already have antibodies against these milder viruses.

What??? Did I read that correctly? Children are protected because they haven't developed enough antibodies?

I thought the whole purpose of the vaccine was to build herd immunity/antibodies against the virus.

Immune Systems
The immune system consists of a team of cells, proteins, tissues and organs that fight off illness, germs and other invaders. When an unsafe substance enters the body, the immune system kicks into gear and attacks. Children do not have fully developed immune systems until they are about 7-8 years old. Because the immune system helps the body fight against diseases and infections, children have an increased risk of developing conditions, such as whooping cough, diarrhea, ear infections, chickenpox, croup, and food allergies, compared to adults.

Developing a Strong Immune System
Infants
Babies benefit from exposure to their mother’s immune system through breast milk. Research suggests that babies who are breastfed are less likely to develop infections (especially lung infections, ear infections, and diarrhea) during their first year of life compared to babies who are fed formulas. This is because the mother’s breast milk contains important antibodies, enzymes, fats, and proteins that help boost the baby’s immune system.

Toddlers and Kindergartners<
As your child becomes more exposed through contact with other, the chance of getting colds and viruses increase. Some studies conclude that this helps build your child’s immune system. However, no one wants to see their children suffer. Practicing and teaching good hygiene at home along with other immune boosting practices may lessen the severity and the amount of time your child is sick. When your child reaches the age of 7 or 8, most of his immune system development is complete.

Does that mean that any child over the age of 8 years is just as likely to die from covid and it's variants as any other adult? Because if their immune system is complete by age 8, that means they have been exposed to other variants, right?

There is a suggestion that these existing antibodies could actually leave adults worse off, because they aren’t exactly matched to the new coronavirus. “Sometimes unmatched antibodies can be more harmful than good,” says Wendy Barclay at Imperial College London.

Understanding why children are being spared is about more than scientific curiosity. “If we can somehow mimic the children’s immune system, using therapeutics or drugs, maybe it just becomes a mild infection even in adults,” says Iwasaki.

And just because children aren’t getting severely ill, doesn’t mean they aren’t contributing to the spread of the new coronavirus. “There’s a danger of being complacent about the children not getting severely ill,” says Iwasaki.

There is already some indication that infected adults without symptoms can spread the virus and the same could be true of children. “It may be a good preventative measure to start closing schools,” says Iwasaki.

What am I missing here? Who is the "they" that are making these major decisions that will put us all under lock down and marshal law? Is this the same "they" that have decided what is Politically Correct lately?

Nothing being said by any of these so called professionals on disease control makes any sense. Are they in control of what forever changes our life and our society? What's that old saying, "If it doesn't makes sense, it isn't true." So it can't be the professionals that fall under this "they" title making these decisions.

Either everyone over the age of 8 years is at risk of dying and should have been on the vaccination list from the beginning, or this someone called, "they" has some explaining to do.

I don't understand. Why is this not being investigated, or at the very least questioned?

This is a province in my country of Canada. It was filmed 3 days ago and I think it has gone viral.

The Video Everyone is Talking About from New Brunswick, Canada

These guys caught men dumping poison into a fresh water lake. The poison was only halfway dumped when they were caught and yet the fish were dropping dead. The video is just short of 20 minutes long and the guys videoing say there were approximately 50 dead fish already and it had only been minutes since the poison was deposited. The people dumping the poison had armed RCMP guarding them. Luckily, the guy filming knew one of the RCMP officers personally and told him that it was too late to do anything about it because there are tons of people on there way and the video is already going viral. The cop was told to arrest the guy filming but he didn't want to wrestle with him in the poison water, so he said he would arrest him later.
