US Marines abandoning Abrams A1 Tanks

As above, so bellow
As far as I got the drift of this video it seems that US marines will abandon Abrams tanks, not just in a small part, but completely. It seems that they want to completely replace them with flying drones. It does make sense, because drones are nowadays equipped with missiles and can destroy tanks, without tanks being able to fight back. So why not dump tanks, however strange it might appear.

So, the US Army will continue to employ them?

The Corps were designed to be light and fast, take something by storm and then get out. The US Army is much larger and is supposed to step in and secure whatever was taken. But it never quite worked out that way. I suppose it makes sense not to duplicate function.

But when the Air Force took the cannons off of F4s because they didn't think they needed them anymore in the missile era it turned out to be a mistake and they had to retrofit them in pods.

Personally, I think Transformers type mega robots would be the obvious solution.

Tanks can't shoot drones.

I would say that one tells it all. Now one has these ultra-long range artillery, 100 miles or more. Plus drones with missiles. Tanks have nothing to do and are more a liability. It's better to have swarm of drones in the air, firing missiles.
