Russia warns Europe's capital cities 'are the potential victims' if US deploys long-range missiles on the continent

Russia has warned that Europe's capital cities 'are the potential victims' if the US deploys long-range missiles on the continent, after the US and Germany announced at the NATO summit that they will begin distributing projectiles by 2026.

In a video published by a Russian state television reporter on Saturday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia has the means to deter US deployments of long-range missiles in Europe.

Asked by reporter Pavel Zarubin about the possibility of the United States deploying hypersonic missiles to Europe, Peskov said: 'We have enough potential to deter these missiles. But the capitals of these (European) states are potential victims.'

This comes after Russia on Thursday said that it would act to counter the planned US deployment of long-range missiles in Germany, as it regarded the NATO military alliance's actions as a serious threat to Russia's national security.

At a briefing with Russian news agencies about the outcome of the NATO summit which took place in Washington on Wednesday, Peskov said: 'The North Atlantic alliance has once again very clearly confirmed its essence. It is an alliance created in an era of confrontation with the aim of maintaining confrontation.

'Tensions on the European continent are escalating' as a result, he added, saying the Kremlin was watching as NATO's military infrastructure crept closer.

The US and Germany had announced at the NATO summit that they would begin deploying long-range fire capabilities in Germany in 2026 to show their commitment to European defence as Russia continues to wage its war against Ukraine.

Palestinian terror suspects are caught crossing into America

Three Palestinian terror suspects were reportedly detained crossing over the southern border into the United States as agents warn they do not have the resources to fully vet migrants.

Sources told The New York Post that border agents detained three Palestinian migrants who illegally crossed the southern border earlier this month.

One migrant was said to have 'salacious photos' on their phone including a picture of a masked man holding an AK-47 rifle.

Border Patrol agents told The Post they do not have the tools to fully vet migrants and people with connections to terrorist organizations are slipping through the cracks.

'I wanted to get into Border Patrol and protect from terrorists. And it's like, well, I probably let terrorists in the country,' said one border agent.

NATO member threatens Israel with invasion as it faces attacks from Islamic terrorists

Turkey’s leader on Sunday threatened military intervention in Israel to stop Jerusalem’s war in Gaza in a significant escalation of rhetoric from NATO’s second-largest military.

In a meeting with his Justice and Development Party (AKP), President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Turkey "must be very strong so that Israel can't do these ridiculous things to Palestine."

"Just like we entered Karabakh, just like we entered Libya, we might do similar to them," he said, according to a Reuters report.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz came back swinging and suggested Erdoğan would meet a similarly deadly fate as Iraq’s former president, Saddam Hussein, who was executed by hanging in 2006.

"Erdoğan follows in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatens to attack Israel. Just let him remember what happened there and how it ended," Katz said in a message posted to X that included a picture of Erdoğan and the former Iraqi leader.

American soldiers 'are hit in huge rocket attack on military base in Iraq' - as officials make chilling prediction

American soldiers 'are hit in huge rocket attack on military base in Iraq' - as officials

A huge rocket attack on Ain al-Assad base in Iraq wounded 'several' American soldiers on Monday, officials said, just a day after Antony Blinken made chilling predictions of an Iranian counterattack on Israel.

The base in the west of the country was targeted by two Soviet-made Katyusha rockets amid soaring tensions in the Middle East - with Iran threatening to strike Israel as early as tonight.

The rocket fire is the latest in a series of attacks targeting the base in western Iraq, which hosts American troops as well as personnel from the US-led coalition against the Islamic State jihadist group.

Israel has been braced for an Iranian assault on five fronts ‘at any moment’ in revenge following the assassination Wednesday of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, in Tehran a day after an Israeli strike in Beirut killed Fuad Shukr, a senior military commander from the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

UN admits nine of its UNWRA staff 'may have been involved' in October 7 Hamas attack

The UN has admitted that nine employees of its from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) 'may have been involved' in the October 7 Hamas attack.

UN spokesman Farhan Haq said: 'We have sufficient information in order to take the actions that we're taking - which is to say, the termination of these nine individuals.'

He was referring to findings of the U.N. Office of Internal Oversight Services, which he said had completed its investigation into the alleged involvement of 19 UNRWA staff members in the attacks.

'OIOS made findings in relation to each of the 19 UNRWA staff members alleged to have been involved in the attacks,' he said.

Haq said all the nine individuals who the investigation concluded may have been involved were men.

He did not give details of what they may have done, but said: 'For us, any participation in the attacks is a tremendous betrayal of the sort of work that we are supposed to be doing on behalf of the Palestinian people.'

The United Nations launched the investigation after Israel charged that 12 UNRWA staff took part in the Hamas-led October 7 attacks which triggered the Gaza war.

Biden-Harris admin accidentally sent Taliban $239 million in aid, investigation finds

An investigation by Judicial Watch has uncovered that the Biden-Harris administration mistakenly funneled $239 million in U.S. aid to the Taliban. According to the watchdog group, the State Department did not comply with its own counterterrorism vetting requirements before awarding at least 29 grants to local Afghan entities.

Reacting to the report, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed outrage on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Under Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s administration, they mistakenly gave $239 million of your hard-earned taxpayer dollars to the TALIBAN. We are $35 TRILLION in debt and this failed administration is so incompetent that they are throwing money at our enemies on accident."

The State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) were specifically called out for their lapses. DRL failed to properly vet recipients for seven awards totaling about $12 million, while INL provided no documentation for 19 of its 22 awards, which amounted to around $295 million. The lack of documentation means there is no way to verify if these grants complied with the vetting requirements.

Thousands of Hezbollah fighters are wounded when their PAGERS explode

Thousands of people have been wounded in Lebanon this afternoon after pagers used by Hezbollah fighters to communicate exploded, so far killing nine, including two girls aged eight and ten.

The wave of sudden and unexpected detonations, which began around 3.45pm local time (1345 GMT) and lasted roughly an hour, has so far maimed over 2,750 Hezbollah members and civilians, giving way to widespread panic and chaotic scenes across Beirut’s southern suburbs, the Bekaa Valley and southern Lebanon.

Victims were seen sporting significant wounds as they lay on the ground surrounded by terrified bystanders in images shared to social media and broadcast by Lebanese and Israeli networks.

Yet more harrowing clips taken inside Lebanese hospitals showed how some unfortunate victims sustained massive head injuries, gaping wounds in their legs and abdomen, or had their hands blown off by the powerful explosions.

At least two Hezbollah fighters - one of whom is the son of Lebanese parliament member Ali Ammar - were confirmed dead by multiple security sources and a family member, according to AFP. An eight-year-old girl from the the Bekaa Valley, and a 10-year-old daughter of a Hezbollah member, were also killed in the explosions.

A spokesperson for the proscribed terror group has since said that Hassan Nasrallah, the group's chief, was not harmed in the blasts.

Hezbollah says that Israel is 'fully responsible' for the simultaneous explosion, warning that the nation would be punished.

'We hold the Israeli enemy fully responsible for this criminal aggression,' the group said in a statement, adding that Israel 'will certainly receive its just punishment for this sinful aggression'. The Israeli military declined to comment on the incidents.

Yeah..... that was interesting. I cruised through a few articles and found an opinion piece stating IDF just sent a message that said 'we own your network' . They literally burned an intelligence asset to do so. The other half of the message was to Iran to let them know their air defense network was thoroughly compromised. This may have been a spoiler for a pending attack they were aware of.

We have a history of cooperation with Israel in terms of cyber warfare. This administration apparently feels that publicly balking at shipping 2000 lb bombs is somehow relevant. I'd imagine you'd just need more of the smaller ones which we are supplying. Point it, I would not be one bit surprised to learn we were involved with this. You know we're up to it hip deep and almost certainly have 'boots on the ground'.

I don't think these were bombs containing explosives as such. More likely they simply dialed pager and gave it some kind of instructions that caused battery to overheat. Then buttery exploded. If somebody was driving a car or motorbike he would get distracted enough to cause traffic accident.

Israel intercepted the shipment of pagers from Taiwan to Hezbolla and tinkered with them adding small explosives with a trigger to remote detonate...That is what I've read about them...

OK, I don't know anything about explosives, but one video in some Lebanese grocery, had shown some explosion inside somebody's handbag, and to me explosion looked too small to kill anybody. Guy laid on the ground and stayed on the ground, but my impression is that he was just trying to figure out what happened. Nobody else around him was injured.

I think a lot of the energy of the explosion/fire which causes the injury is possibly coming from the lithium battery, but the trigger which causes the battery to explode is coming from a very small explosive charge added to each pager by Israeli intelligence. It is reported in the press that the Israelis most likely intercepted the shipment of the pagers somehow and were able to modify them.
