'Putin is crazy': China 'thinks Russia is going to fail in Ukraine and will emerge from the conflict a minor power'

Chinese officials have blasted Vladimir Putin as 'crazy' and claimed Beijing thinks Russia is going to fail in its war in Ukraine (right). Several Chinese officials warned Beijing must not 'simply follow Russia' and blindly support the war in Ukraine in a rare rebuke of Putin's barbaric invasion. The officials said they believe that Russia will fail to win the war in Ukraine - and the impact of such an expensive and deadly conflict will see Moscow emerge as a 'minor power' with a diminished economy and a poor standing on the world stage. The scathing comments from the Chinese officials, with some accusing Putin of being 'crazy', mark a significant turning point in the supposedly amicable relations between Russia and China - just a month after the two countries vowed to deepen their bilateral ties. It now appears that President Xi Jinping (left with Putin) may be doing his best - through his officials - to distance himself from Putin and his war, as the Chinese leader now focuses on improving his diplomatic relations with the West.

.

That is actually a good news, because it guarantees that Putin will not use nukes.

If Putin's is to use nukes, in the current context, China would actually turn against Russia in UN's Security Council and that can be the end of Russia as a fake super-power.

'It's like a zombie movie': Wagner recruits 'are pumped full of drugs that enable them to keep fighting until they bleed out, even when hit by machineguns'

Ukrainian soldiers have compared Wagner recruits to zombies, describing drugged-up ex-prisoners climbing over the corpses of their comrades during wave after wave of brutal attack.

The Kremlin's private military company bolstered its numbers by giving jailed criminals in Russia a six-month war contract, promising freedom at the end of their service if they survive the horrific onslaught.

The horde of killers, rapists, thieves and gangsters now populating Russia's military with little training are being used as suicidal human battering rams to blast through Ukraine's first lines of defence, before the experienced soldiers follow behind.

Ukrainian soldiers Andriy and Borisych, speaking from the besieged city of Bakhmut, said they have been battling hundreds of Wagner fighters for weeks in an attritional conflict.

Andriy told CNN: 'They're climbing above the corpse of their friends, stepping on them. 'It looks like it's very, very likely that they are getting some drugs before attack.'

In one particularly savage battle, Andriy said he was a group of 20 soldiers fighting uninterrupted waves of 200 Russians for 10 hours.

He said their AK-47 rifles became so hot from constant gunfire that they had to keep changing them.

The fighter added: 'Our machine gunner was almost getting crazy, because he was shooting at them. And he said, 'I know I shot him, but he doesn't fall.' And then after some time, when he maybe bleeds out, so he just falls down.'

I read the same happened during Vietnam war. Some US soldiers reported that they would hit Vietcong men with 4-5 big rifle bullets and Vietnamese guy would keep coming.

But drugging up soldiers is nothing new. There are history documentaries on YT documenting that during some Russian-Prussian war back in 19th century Prussians drugged up to 200,000 of their own soldiers that they all become drug addicts and were completely unemployable and impossible to integrate into the society after war finished.

US soldiers in Vietnam were constantly on drugs although these drugs were not procured by the state, but by free market.

Hell, the Romans faced down all sorts of nasties that would get themselves jacked up on whatever was available to get amped up into a killing rage. WW2 Nazi Germany used craploads of 'performance enhancing' drugs on it's soldiers. I even remember Joe Rochefort's famous code cracking team at Pearl Harbor went through buckets of Benzedrine, and that it was commonly available.

Getting good old fashioned ****faced drunk was also super common, at least in earlier eras. Doesn't enhance much but does lower inhibition.

This is sort of war related as it mentions wars as a means to an end...

John Coleman predicted everything happening today in 1992. Read the short passage of the book, below:

J. Coleman is a former MI6 British Intelligence Officer and attended meetings of the Committee of 300. Here is the full book if anyone's interested (PDF, no Amazon link)

Scary. The Japanese population has been in decline for some time and China is now paying the price for it's one child policy.

That last line 'the United States will be flooded by peoples of alien cultures ....' yeah - that's spot on.

Yeah, I've recently read somewhere that Japanese income fell from $50k/person to $40k/person.

That's no joke. If that's true Japan will be going down.

Yeah, scary part is after the wars, when these drugged up guys come back home.

That documentary quoted 200,000 Prussian soldiers returning home to be unemployed for life.

Question is, are do our leaders know where they are leading us, or are they stumbling from one bad decision to another?

US government monitoring suspected Chinese spy balloon over northern states

The United States government is monitoring a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that has been moving over northern states over the past several days.

Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said during a briefing on Thursday afternoon that the U.S. government has detected a high altitude surveillance balloon over the continental United States.

"The United States government has detected and is tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is over the continental United States right now. The U.S. government to include Norad, continues to track and monitor it closely. The balloon is currently traveling at an altitude well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground. Instances of this kind of balloon activity have been observed previously over the past several years. Once the balloon was detected, the US government acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information," Ryder said.

A senior defense official said that the U.S. government is "confident" that the surveillance balloon belongs to the People's Republic of China.

The defense official said that the balloon was recently over Montana, and said that officials were considering bringing the plane down with military assets, but decided against doing so because of the risks associated.

"You did see reports yesterday of a ground stop at Billings Airport and the mobilization of a number of assets, including F-22. The context for that was that we put some things on station in the event that a decision was made to bring this down while it was over Montana. So we wanted to make sure we were coordinating with civil authorities to empty out the airspace around that potential area. But even with those protective measures taken, it was the judgment of our military commanders that we didn't drive the risk down low enough. So we didn't take the shot," the official said.

Chinese Foreign Ministry claims balloon was not intended to enter US airspace

The People's Republic of China confirmed Friday that the balloon craft floating over the northern United States is Chinese.

China claimed that the airship is a civilian research craft that was blown far off course by prevailing winds, and that it regrets the incident.

Explosion in the sky' above Billings Montana where Chinese spy balloon was spotted infiltrating U.S airspace - as residents report seeing jet zoom by

An explosion in the sky over Billings Montana, where a Chinese spy balloon has been flying over the region, was caught on camera Friday.

Mysterious video of the aftermath shows a trail of smoke in the sky where the balloon was last spotted.

Dolly Moore, who took video of the scene, said she 'saw a jet go by so fast and then explosion in the sky.' As the video spread on social media, Defense officials have said the balloon over Montana has not exploded.

It comes after the US State Department called the balloon, which was traveling over U.S. airspace at 60,000 feet, a 'clear violation' of U.S. sovereignty, but said it wouldn't be shot down because it was flying over a 'number of sensitive sites.'An explosion in the sky over Billings Montana, where a Chinese spy balloon has been flying over the region, was caught on camera Friday.

I imagine the smart thing to do would be to let electronic signals intelligence sniff the hell out of those things for as long as possible. Then shoot the ****ing thing down and look at the pieces.

This is no accident, although what could a balloon collect a satellite can't ? I wonder how many UFO reports it triggered.

Biden 'WILL try to shoot down' the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic as it exits the east coast above the Carolinas at noon today - so it can be captured and studied

Biden 'WILL try to shoot down' the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic

The aircraft (bottom right) was tracking towards the Carolinas this morning (left) and is due to exit the east coast by noon after passing over a sensitive nuclear missile site in Montana dubbed America's 'Doomsday Base'. The White House decided against shooting the balloon down over US soil over fears for American lives and sparking an international incident, a senior US official said. Now Pentagon officials are planning to shoot the balloon down so that it lands in US territorial waters. The action will require a substantial localized airspace shutdown in order to protect civilians, the source said. Spy balloons usually operate at altitudes of up to 120,000ft, but the Chinese aircraft has descended to around 46,000ft, meaning it is well within striking distance for an F-22 Raptor which can soar to 65,000ft. However, the mission is fraught with complexity. In 1998, the Canadian air force sent up F-18 fighter jets to try and shoot down a rogue weather balloon. They fired a thousand 20-millimeter cannon rounds into it before it finally sank six days later. It comes amid mounting pressure on Joe Biden (top right) as it emerged that a second Chinese spy balloon had been spotted over Latin America, passing over the Panama Canal and moving southeast over Venezuela. The President was last night slammed by the Governor of Montana over his inaction. Greg Gianforte said that as a result, 'Americans are endangered and our enemies are emboldened.'

US military shoots down Chinese spy balloon over Atlantic Ocean

The U.S. military has shot down the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean.

While the balloon was off the coast of South Carolina, the balloon was shot down by U.S. military fighter jets on Saturday afternoon, according to Fox News sources.

A senior defense official said during a Thursday afternoon briefing that the U.S. government is "confident" the surveillance balloon is from the People's Republic of China.

When asked about the balloon on Saturday by a reporter, Biden said "we're going to take care of it."

US secures perimeter around spy balloon to stop China reaching it before navy salvage vessel which may not be on scene six miles off the coast of South Carolina for DAYS - as cockpit audio details moment it was shot down

US officials confirmed that an F-22 Raptor fighter jet shot down the Chinese spy balloon with a single AIM-9X sidewinder missile at 2.38pm on Saturday, six miles off the coast of South Carolina. A senior military advisor told Fox News that the debris field was about seven-miles wide, with the depth of the waters estimated at 47 feet. While multiple Navy and Coast Guard vessels are in the area establishing a security and search perimeter, the senior advisor said an official salvage vessel won't arrive until a couple of days. There is currently no timeline on the recovery of the balloon from the Atlantic Ocean following its week-long voyage across the US.

Worth mentioning again because this is a perfect example of a drum I've been banging a while. As Mr. Spock told the (hot) Romulan Commander 'military secrets are the most fleeting of all' . A definite case of use-it-you-might-lose-it. One day you have an advantage nobody else has, the next day Yugoslavs are picking through the wreckage of the fancy F-117 they shot down.

Suppose you do have some sort of really high tech asset, something that required national asset level resources to design and construct. What are you going to do with it for fear of loss ? Well, you're not going to do anything with it unless circumstances absolutely demand it, you're just going to keep it in your back pocket. But of course you have to test it real world. If only there was some place where the most advanced systems in the world go to practice and you know they are unarmed, oh, and they're in home waters too.

Maybe that's where you test your transmedium tic-tac go fast gimbal thing.

China balloon: US shoots down airship over Atlantic

In a Pentagon statement a senior US defence official said that "while we took all necessary steps to protect against the PRC [China] surveillance balloon's collection of sensitive information, the surveillance balloon's overflight of US territory was of intelligence value to us.
"We were able to study and scrutinise the balloon and its equipment, which has been valuable," the official added.

IMHO you are just working yourselves up. Just as your politicians want, in order to divert from internal problems that are much harder to solve.

In most of likelihood it is just a weather balloon that accidently got where it got. Satellites, submarines and thousands of Chinese spies living in US can spy much better then balloons ever will be able to do.

World could have no benefit from war between US and China.

Colombia releases more details about second Chinese spy balloon hovering over Latin America as country says it causes 'no threat to national security' but it is reviewing ties with Beijing: Video appears to show it flying above Cartagena

The Colombian Air Force has released additional information about a second suspected high-altitude Chinese spy balloon, seen hovering over parts of Latin America.

A balloon at a height of 55,000 feet was detected traveling at around 25 knots in the north of Colombia on February 3, they said in a statement.

Unlike the balloon that traveled across the US, Colombian authorities said it was not shot down down as it wasn't deemed a 'national security threat'. Instead, they followed it out of national airspace.

The US Department of Defense confirmed on Friday the existence of a second balloon that reportedly flew over Costa Rica, Colombia and Venezuela in an easterly direction.

'We are seeing reports of a balloon transiting Latin America,' Pentagon spokesperson Pat Ryder said, a day after the first craft was spotted in the US. 'We now assess it is another Chinese surveillance balloon.'
