I caved in and been doing a form of KETO (limited or low carb diet) along side intermittent fasting (16/8). I've also adopted short running workouts at night (only 2X/wk - easy) and lifting weights (also 2X/wk, short but intense). I installed an app to track macros. Within two months the result is I lost 10 lbs and in my healthy BMI, and only 5 lbs off target weight. I eat two full meals. One is the ultra healthy, low carb high protein version - mostly egg whites, cheese, butter, avacado. The other is a standard meal I eat whatever I want. I also get 2 slices of pizza at least one a week and Miller Lite. Coffee, tea, and Coconut water daily, detox concoction once a week. This looks like the compromised eating schedule I'll adopt from here on out: 50/50 with good and bad meals. I like it. Only adjustment is will add a protein meal once I get to target weight to help with muscle building when lifting cycle. Check out the videos by Dr Berg on diet I posted earlier. Highly recommend.
So far today I have eaten a barbecue sandwich, small one, and drank an orange flavoured Red Bull, a glass of iced tea and one espresso... ...
3 eggs, + 3 more egg whites, scrambled, 3 mugs hot black coffee, And my drug of choice, autumn candy and candy corn... Corn sugar is probably the worst drug ever invented... I try to use in moderation, but I admit I like this, and have been addicted since I was first introduced. It takes discipline to not go crazy with it...
I had a big fluffy pan cake as big as a dinner plate. The mix comes from Walmart, you just add water and stir. It's really good and very convenient. Tonight for dinner I will have home made chicken wraps. I just realized that I am out of salsa so, I will attempt to create my own with whatever I have on hand.
I visited my mother earlier today for a mid-afternoon lunch, she insisted on cooking, turkey breast, glazed ham, scalloped potatoes, sweet potato pie, green beans from my garden, and store bought cheese cake, was so good...I brought over a nice Malbec 2012 which was delicious... ...
Dark roast coffee (organic fair trade)! in the morning. Leftovers for lunch. Pliny the Elder in the afternoon to celebrate the holiday weekend and Daryl Gurney's win in an amazing darts match. Leftovers for dinner. But I was just thinking that in February, Pliny the Younger will be released. I don't drink much alcohol, so when I do it has to be good.
Japanese take out today, Hibachi chicken and broccoli with fried rice and sweet carrots, can't eat the carrots though, simply too sweet for me... ...
Tomorrow I'm making from scratch homemade chili, my own recipe and perfected over a 10 year period...This is no ordinary chili that you would commonly find in the region of America, it contains Mediterranean flavours with over 17 spices and seasonings and finely ground beef but no beans...I spoon it over pasta or rice, or used as a dip, sharp cheddar is awesome with it lol... ...
