I wondered when my 13 year old son would discover girls.. this found on his FB answers the question.

Here is one of my ultimate favorite celebrity Babe Billie Piper! ( Cencored by Dad) Same with Rihanna and Alyssa Milano. I freaking love Kat Dennings. She is so Nerdy and so cool so beautiful and seem like a chill person to hang with showing appreciation to her.
Kat Dennings? I must talk to the boy!

I once had a 65 Impala big block that had a powerglide transmission, which is why I asked about the Chevelle, I didn't know how common those 2 speed trannys were lol...

Definitely agree about manual transmissions, need a clutch and need control of my vehicle, a manual transmission gives the driver more control...I loved driving the 1st gen RX-7 I once had, 5 speed with a rotary engine, that car was a lot of fun...The car I'm driving now has shift ability in an automatic transmission, first one I've owned like this, it's also the first Ford (Lincoln) I've ever owned too...I was going to trade the car but decided to keep the car and get another Jeep with a stick and clutch, once that happens the car will likely be driven less lol...The car is paid for and it runs great, no issues so why not keep it, it's nice to drive for road trips...

...

Autos are fatser. Had a shift kit in a TH350 and Hurst slap shifter in a '74 Nova with a small block 400. Blew that one up reeeeeeal gooood ... more than once.

My mechanic retired - the nerve. We have an '07 Forester, a great little car. Took it to a local place and got it's annual state inspection. Very nice people, very nice place, well established. And boring. I miss the old dump. It oozed character and I never had to ever worry about him being honest. Everything changes.

While waiting on the inspection I noted a gigantic Excursion coming in. Has a huge sticker across the back window that says WELCOME TO AMERICA. NOW SPEAK ENGLISH. These days that's asking for trouble but there is more to it.

The elderly man that got out of it was the owner of the business, now retired. Taller than me- a big, very fierce looking German dude. I could easily see him much younger man in the cupola of a tank or on a U-boat conning tower. It looks like there are many other people you could pick to F with that would be simpler. He's an immigrant who went through all the steps necessary for citizenship, earned what he has legally and built a business, pays his taxes and learned the language.

Very much out of fashion. Obviously I'm a racist and Trumper and a man who eats kittens for breakfast for even mentioning that.

I went into town today to get supplies, food, extra fluids for the car, and filled my empty propane tanks I use for heat, it's been getting colder here lately, even more colder the next 4 to 5 days, Monday night might dip close to freezing...I also bought a couple gallons of decking stain/sealer, pecan colour, and a couple gallons of clear coat, next week I'm putting it on my workshop wood siding and window and door frames, then I'll have the exterior winterized...The original colour is fading after just 4 years, they must have used cheap stain, I just bought Thompson's brand, 30$ a gallon for the stain and 20$ a gallon for the clearcoat...

One thing I noticed, all the paper towels were gone, everywhere I went, none on the shelves, but there was plenty of toilet paper...Are paper towels being hoarded again or is there a new problem?...

Companies are following the “Lean Manufacturing” model. Only make what the buyer will purchase. Short sighted manufacturing to be sure. My wife finds paper products at Aldis, if you have a store in your area. Also, for some reason the “Dollar” stores seem to have plenty of supplies.

Also, if you like the full sheet rolls of paper towels, they sell them at Target stores. I dislike those half sheet rolls. The manufacturers think they are tricking the customer.

Deck stain has changed over the past few years. Around here it's all that low-VOC latex crapola that doesn't schtick like the old oil based toxic stuff did.

Paper towel? Dunno. Seems like plenty here, plenty of toilet paper, rubbing alcohol, masks, sanitizers etc.

I bought an oil based stain, it doesn't clean up as easy but should last for years to come...Its a hazelnut colour I bought, not pecan, I was looking at a few colours lol...

New project took hold this morning, well something I've been wanting to do anyway and decided to do it today...Shortening a storm door by about 6 to 8 inches so I can use it on my workshop, I just have to cut the bottom down a little bit cut the frame, the width is a perfect fit...I've already got the storm door took apart at the bottom so I can cut the extruded aluminum, about a 3-hour project put the door back together and frame it out...

This took about 4 hours to complete yesterday, I had a storm door laying around in the back barn that I modified and resized for my workshop...Burned up a cheap carbide saw blade cutting the extruded aluminum lol...Today doing some caulking and sanding and other prep work on the wood siding of my workshop in preparation for the stain and sealer which I will apply on Tuesday afternoon...

It got cold last night, a low of 42 degrees, had to turn on the propane heater lol...

Just had a 11 year old girl come knock on the front door, she asked if i had any money she could have? i asked for what? she said she stole her moms money and had to pay it back. i said i`m sorry i cant help ya and asked where she lived. she said down a bit on the next block. and left toward that direction. my wife didnt hear her come to the door or her voice, she just heard me talking, kinda strange. Little girls should not ever be going around asking for money at a strangers home.

Monday morning I put this stain on two sides of the building, the front side with the door and windows and the backside, still have two more sides to finish up however the weather has changed bringing rain in the area before the end of the week because of tropical storm Beta and I don't have enough clear weather days to allow it to dry properly, so the rest of the staining will be finished up on Sunday this coming weekend...The colour is darker than I wanted but it lightened up a bit when it dried, I'm fine with it...The wood really soaked up the stain though, I went through two gallons and bought two more gallons to finish the job...It took me all afternoon to do those two sides, there was a lot of brushing around the windows and door and the trim and I wasn't trying to rush it lol...

The next morning I started feeling bad, not covid or cold or anything like that, just a sinus headache and felt really fatiqued...I guess it may be because of the weather changing, I don't know, I has been cold lately, now its warming up again only to turn even colder late next week...I kind of laid around the last day and half or so, feeling better this afternoon though...I thought it may have been the fumes of the oil based stain but Monday was a breezy day so Ididn't really smell it much at all...The fumes were a bit strong inside the workshop but I wasn't in there at all this week, left the windows open and a fan blowing out one of the windows to get fresh air in there...

Went into town a couple hours ago and got some fresh barbecue pork, two pounds of chopped, me and the dog just finished eating some of that, man that was sooooo good lol...That place in town makes some of the best barbecue around here, don't care for their slaw much, but I was never big on slaw anyway...Its definitely autumn weather here now, I burned the propane heater for three nights over the past weekend and Monday night, by Thursday night next week I might need to turn on the heater again, a couple more weeks the leaves will be changing colours, its already begun in the mountains...Around October 12th I want to drive to the mountains to see the tree leaf's colours in the forest up there, they predict around the 12th to the 19th of October for the peak...

Well, just sitting here having coffee and chit chat.

So, I got me a 90 year old mother in law. Think Auntie Nelda
I suppose I could go ON about personality traits, issues with getting older and all that. I'll spare you. Suffice to say, this one is Godzilla, Level 11, the Tsar Bomba of old ladies. You think I'm kidding, I'm not. Advanced User Technique here. We need something between a body slave and a bomb disposal expert to shut her up .... but I digress. Her Hurt Locker has spare diapers in it.

Having the opportunity to observe first hand for some years, I say that when you get older there are all sorts of things that happen - but if you were just an a*****e to begin with getting old isn't going to improve that.

Suffice to say it's been interesting. Today I just had to share.

It seems she DIED last night. Yup. Deader than a doornail. And now she's back to report from The Beyond.

Really. No shit. Not making this up.

There's a reason I keep that Lloyd Bridges avatar - it's the look on his face. I don't smoke, but I got that look plastered to my mug right now .....

Oh hell no, looks like you nailed it. Probably closer to new but you get used to it sagging.

No, when you buy a leaf spring and it isn't right it's obvious. upload_2020-9-25_17-44-6.png
