How is The Coronavirus affecting your life?

People have to wear masks and keep a 6 foot distance from others

Yup. Masks only when you can't be physically distant.

I have been working throughout almost all of this in a place where the general public is right up my ass. Had to deal with this in my own way I guess. Masks, distancing and all that has been spotty. Most wear masks now, many wear chin diapers (thank you South Park). I've been using plain cotton masks that tie behind the head and neck - like the Hawkeye Pierce model from M*A*S*H with colorful designs. I wash & rotate them regularly. Don't bother with gloves or sanitizers. I wash my hands frequently and keep them away from my face. I deal with dozens if not hundreds of filthy people directly regularly.

Those simple measures seem to be adequate. There have been people that I work with that got it and seems they were the ones that didn't bother with those basic measures - two of them I saw for myself. All recovered, none were hospitalized as far as I know. I think continuing a draconian lockdown is a mistake but since voluntary compliance isn't getting it done, even among you well ordered and efficient Canadians :) - can see why they have to be put in place in certain areas.

Here in Edmonton, you cannot get into Walmart without a mask.

That was true here until this month when the state opened back up, we still have a mandatory mask order in place for the entire state but shops aren't enforcing it as much now...Its ironically funny, I see so many people driving in their own cars alone wearing a mask yet so many people in the shops around other people maskless...It should be the opposite lol...

I have to drive into town before noon today, it's the best time to go when there's not as many people in the shops, I need to get some supplies...Not really thrilled about this trip in town since covid cases are spiking all around and many people are still maskless in the stores and public areas, but I'll get what I need promptly and get out as quick as I can lol...

Its worse than ever in town, I was in the grocery store and besides the store employees only 20 percent or less of the people in that store wore a mask and they aren't practicing any social distancing...I didn't even shop for everything I wanted, I got out as quick as I could...I'm just going to have to go back in town on a weekday very early in the morning when not so many people are around...

Yeah, I wanted to go do some big time shopping because I haven't for awhile. We are back to normal. Line ups everywhere. People packed in like sardines. I didn't buy anything I just went back home.

I would really like to go to Kohl's and do some clothes shopping, I'd have to drive almost an hour to get to one of their stores and it's in a city that is way worse with covid infections than my area...So I'm going to wait longer lol...

So, you don't like shopping online either? I remember my Granny used to shop almost exclusively through catalogues. You get what you ordered. lol

No not for clothing and shoes, I never buy that stuff online lol, I need to see it, feel it, and sometimes try it on, especially try on shoes before I buy...

They're beginning to hoard again lol, one of my stops in town was Wal-Mart to get some stuff for my mother, they were out of paper towels, half the bread isle was cleared out, no cans of tuna, very little ground beef left and saltine crackers gone...

Actually, that is a typical Sunday at Walmart, Nivek. I don't think they take any deliveries on the weekend.

No masks here but still have the adhere to social distancing and hand sanitizing wherever you go outside. No Coronavirus here at the moment .

Sometimes I get heartburn from rebreathing my exhaled gases while wearing a surgical mask and I have to drink water.

I didn't know which appreciation icon to use.

Are you serious? I thought I had a sensitive tummy. lol

I do find myself pulling the mask down every time I am far enough away from people because I get really overheated.

Little Caesars had large pizzas on sale for $6. I ordered on over the phone and then drove there to pick it up. When I got to the restaurant door, I realized I had forgotten to bring a mask. She said it was okay just to come in. I then asked for the phone in ordered I had placed and he had forgotten to make it so, I had to stand there and wait for 20 minutes because they had removed all chairs to discourage people from sitting to close together?

Anyway, at least 12 people, maybe more, came in during my wait and each person put their hand on my shoulder and praised me for being strong enough to fight against wearing masks. They each gave me the same story I have been spouting on here about control, and agendas by TPTB.

I can understand if it had been one or two people but, it was every person who entered the restaurant in that 20 minute time period. More than just a coincidence, yes?

Herding kittens. Mandatory or not some people just ain't gonna play the game. This is sort of like playing 'the telephone game' or 'I've got a secret' . Stuff a good idea in on end and after it goes around the room and is whispered back to you it's unrecognizable. Do that with what seem like common sense covid procedures and out the other end comes ..... well you know.

Imagine how you feel if you're a small business owner watching your restaurant being driven under because you can't open and function and yet a short drive would take you to a place you would never know a problem existed.
