The History Of Extraterrestrial Life...

Shadowprophet

Truthiness
I still have a good article or Two in me, I just have to poke around my psyche with a stick for a few minutes.

You know, The History Of Extraterrestrial interaction with Human beings is a Sprawling subject full of rabbit holes that go nowhere, We all Want to know more about Alien life. I mean, That's why we are here, It's safe to say most people here At AE want to know more about the universe, What's out there, What's possible.

It's a complicated subject to tackle, If You create a timeline beginning with Human kinds first interaction with extraterrestrial life, Where does one begin? Some people Believe We humans are created beings, There are many Theories that cover this hypothesis, Like intelligent Design, Intelligent design - Wikipedia Which States That the way our reality seems to operate is so precise and organized that Some Devine Creator must have literally Created Us. You know, If that is so, Would this creator not be Extraterrestrial?

So, Where does one Actually begin a timeline of event? There is a place Called Aramu Mumu, it's a Stone Doorway that the Incans claimed their Gods came through in an almost portal fashion.

Aramu Mumu: located on lake Titicaca near the border with Bolivia
We have several other examples, Like The Roswell Crash in 47, And even The Aurora, Texas, UFO incident that reportedly occurred on April 17, 1897... More Boldly, We have countless reports of UFOs And Even 4th kind close encounters with Otherworldly beings, On a global scale going back for Generations. The question on everyone's mind Shouldn't Be Are they Real, It should be. Why are they Avoiding Direct open transparency with us?

Why, When formulas like the Drake Equation And Theories like Abiogenesis Abiogenesis - Wikipedia State, If life can exist under its given conditions then without a doubt it will evolve there. So, With Such a High Probability for Life in the Cosmos, Why the Fermi Paradox?

Well, There is A theory, More of a Hypothesis Really on Why an Advanced life form May choose to Avoid contact with Other "alien" species of life. The Zoo Hypothesis. Zoo hypothesis - Wikipedia Reasons on Technologically advanced Extraterrestrial life, And why they may Choose to Avoid Contact with Human beings. In a nutshell, The Theory Speculates, That a Truly Advanced Mind would realize that to interact with us would be to change us and take us away from our own natural evolution, That They may consider interacting with us, as a violation toward us, And the reason they watch us from a distance is, intellectually, It truly is the best thing for us, That to interact with us on any large scale is no different than a violent invasion.

I've thought about this a lot, It makes sense, if you think about it, as far back as History will allow, The Gods and the Mortals were separated, We are here and they are in the heavens somewhere looking down on us. Perhaps they have been here all along, Perhaps they are here now. But, To simply come forward if only to say, You are not alone, Is all it would take to cause us irreparable harm...

You know, For someone that began an article speaking about Rabbit holes, Here we are...

I lost confidence in Wikipedia. They have gone Liberal and one sided.

There is also the Karma effect.
If an advanced species directly interacts with us and it turns bad for us, they shoulder most of the blame. Nothing an advanced species would want.
I could be they did in our past, and because of the results decided to stop. And police for other visitors to not interact as well.

What exactly is liberal about Wikipedia?

Fratty and out of touch.
I have been a firm believer in the Zoo Hypothesis for a long time.

It is one of many articles on it.

Sanger – who is no longer with involved with Wikipedia – wrote that it has long forgotten its original policy of aiming to present information from a neutral point of view, and nowadays the crowd-sourced online encyclopedia “can be counted on” to cover politics with a liberal point of view.
...

Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger says online encyclopedia scrapped neutrality, favors lefty politics

You're not being an idiot when you attempt to stem the tide of Communism - it's called Patriotism.
Wikipedia removes any attempts to edit content that does not conform to the leftist camp - I have
been the victim of it myself on several occasions.

What does now anyone voted have to do with the history of extra terrestrial life?

Agreed. Let's scrape that bullshit right off this thread. It gets on everything.

I understand what @Shadowprophet was after. I don't know how to characterize ET throughout history as Chariot of the Gods set the bar early on and everything since seems to be on that pattern. I wonder how we would look at it if Erich von Daniken got hit by a bus. Giorgio Tsoukalos would be just another Swiss hairdresser.

What would our perceptions about ET, abductions and so forth look like if Whitley Strieber had been clipped by the #14 Metro bus also?

The idea of a very terrestrial ancient intelligence of some sort with Skinwalker Ranch dressing is appealing to me for no good reasons I can name right now

I think the zoo hypothesis makes sense, but I also belive there are those among them that have violated the distancing rules....
And it has impacted our evolution already.. especially in the tech arena...

the problem with left and right arguments is both sides are right fighters and extremism has creeped in and the gap widened to the point that it is difficult to find true statesmanship or statesmen any longer.

Our Government was designed to operate under a premise of statesmanship. If we do not have that, we will lose our civility.

Again? Are you ok? This thread is about alien in our history, not politics. Besides, there is no left nor right, just people who have been programmed to react emotionally to propaganda. What do you have to say about E.T.?

I remember reading books written by a couple of women, can't remember their names, maybe one was Gina Chiminera. One of them thought planet earth was where special people/entities got to incarnate and the other thought the planet was a prison for all the evil in the universe. Both of them said that there were E.T.'s in orbit around the planet keeping an eye on us. Another book I read, again, can't remember the author, said that the E.T.'s were abducting people on earth because we have souls and they don't but want souls so they are trying to steal ours.

I have read Chariots of the Gods and the Philadelphia Experiment and a lot of other books, Zacharia Stichen's book and some by Nick Redfern and almost all of Whitley Strieber's books. I also have read Travis Walton's book. Oh and Sheldon Nidle and a couple of books by David Wilcock and one by David Icke. Just to list a few. All of them have interesting ideas but after the first book it seems all of them are just making more stories to sell books. Even Nick Redfern, who I find very interesting seems to be cranking them out pretty fast. And now that David Wilcock has teamed up with Corey Good I have no use for him. I never trusted Corey Good, he came out from under a rock with the most incredibly strange and unbelievable stories but somehow he is still around and cranking out more stuff too.

Well, that is my diatribe, and maybe a bit of introduction to where I have started on this exploration of "aliens from outerspace"/UFO/UAP phenomena. (plural on purpose).

Have you read the Gods of Eden by Bramley? I can recommend it.

I suppose the alien abduction phenomenon is confusing and difficult for people to understand it enough to tell their story with any accuracy. It doesn't relate to their own concepts of reality and physicality, so their own experience baffles them, thus making them appear less credible, perhaps?

I agree. My wife is the biggest Skeptic around. She always makes fun of me by saying that I believe in absolutely any beast or thing, real or not. One day we got up very early - 3AM, when one of our dogs was making a funny noise. She looked out the window of our cabin and saw, in the distance, a blinking light that was seeming to go up some and then down some. She immediately said "look, a UFO!" and she was nuts about it. I was not so much, because I believe, but I really wish to see the whole picture before I go off.
Now, if she had pointed out the window on the Volcano side, I would have agreed with her. Lots of UFOs being reported there - and only 8 miles from our house.

I told her that, unfortunately, she was pointing to the landing of a 747. She said "no, the airport is the other way", and I explained that, yes, it was the other direction, but they are forced to swing wide so as to not pollute the city with their noise and smoke. She got all deflated. My point is - some of the biggest non-believers become the best and most fanatic of the bunch, given the proper shove. And it does
baffle them.
