Pets of the expanse!

Has anyone ever wondered about pet reincarnation? It's something I think about from time to time. One of our cats behaves almost exactly like the cat I had as a kid. She is all black but has some orange peeking through in her fur, the cat I had as a kid was orange.
Many people who claim to have had near death experiences say they were reunited with deceased pets when they saw the other side. It's a common theme in NDE cases.

I've not heard of that before although I haven't researched near death experiences in any detail, that's interesting...I've had a dream of a deceased pet before but that's very rare for me, I usually don't dream of people and things I know in the physical world...

What happens if a guy dies at age 30 and his girlfriend dies at age 90 ? That isn't going to go down to well if they retain the age that they died on the other side.
People are almost always described as being the young, healthy version of themselves in the afterlife. I think I've posted this scene before but it's one of my favorites. It's the scene in What Dreams May Come where Robin Williams' character has just died and he's reunited with his dog, Katie. He notes that she is young and vibrant again.

Just bothering my house animals. Poking them, rubbing, feeding them and talking to them etc. We all have umpteen names for our pets.
I like to make them authors.

My faithful old boy Max, long since passed, if he were to have written his dogobiography, would have been titled To Sniff a Leaf. My current dog, Pie the Piedog, would write To Chase the Puss

Any takers?

Do this to myself too. My PF-o-biography would be entitled Technology Up My Ass
Chapter 1" Electromechanical Technology .... up my ass ....
straight through to
Chapter 18 Cloud Services .... up my ass ......

and so forth.

And if you have been married several times who do you end up with on the other side ?

Toto could coauthor To Sniff a Leaf. Just walking him around the block takes forever. He has to stop and sniff absolutely everything. His nickname is "Mama's Boy" (very appropriate). He has a little hoodie with this nickname on it.

I believe strongly in reincarnation and I think we spend many of our incarnations with the same people over and over again. In some of those incarnations they may be our friends or family members. They can also be our mortal enemies. We're here to learn so in some ways enemies can help us grow and develop more than our friends and relatives.

We might be getting our threads mixed up here. Yes, I would hope to see my old furry friends again and what's the harm in thinking so?

A few years ago when we had an empty house we went to the same shelter our dog came from to get a couple of cats. I was hoping to find a nice orange to remind me of one we had when I was small. It was an barn with about ten zillion cats in it and they kept the kittens in cages. Frank was lying on his back playing with a ball of yarn. Oh Gawd, hook line and sinker. Louie decided he was going with us, period.

Frank is a white cat with stripes and spots but to title his book, it's Sufficiently Orange

Haven't come up with one for Louie yet - but I always say 'my shadow has spots' because he's almost always within arm's reach of me.
