How is The Coronavirus affecting your life?

You're still feeling some fatigue from the vaccine?...Are you experiencing any dehydration?...The friend I mentioned earlier also said he was a bit dehydrated too...

...
Yes, I know that is what was wrong yesterday. I added electorlytes to my water and drank a gatorade. I guess I need to do that again today. I hope I don't have to do that every morning for the rest of my life. Gatorade only has potassium in it and the electrolyte mix I have has everything but potassium.

Give it a couple days, my other friend said by the fifth day he had no more fatigue nor any other issues...

There's a drunk down the road from me who is 68yo, heavy smoker and alcoholic, he drinks more than he eats and Wednesday he's getting the J&J shot...I think he's going to have some side effects because of his condition...

The first person who noticed was the twit with his nose over the top of his mask.

That's how I have to wear it. I cannot breathe any other way with it on. When someone else comes closer, I cover my nose until they pass. It's the best I can do.

At least you do cover you nose when someone comes close. Most people I see wearing their mask that way never move it unless they see security coming towards.them.

Security?...Mask wearing isn't enforced like that here although it is a statewide mandate to wear them, I've never seen any police nor security go after people for not wearing a mask...

It depends on the store but I know even in the Dollar store security has kicked people out for not wearing their mask and security has chastised people in the grocery store I go to about having their mask below their nose, on the other hand I have seen cashiers with their nose sticking out so it just depends on the management, but people seem to take it more seriously in Albuquerque than other places. Our county is the smallest, yet most populous county and so people are more concerned. (over 1/3 of the population lives in this county). I could understand the rural areas being more lax as they don't congregate much except for church, rodeos and dirt bike races.

My daughter has been really sick this last week, still suffering but her fever has gone down. She lost her sense of smell and has not gotten it back. I suggested she get a covid test even though she had her second Pfizer shot 3 weeks ago. She got it yesterday once her sense of smell was lost and it came back negative. There must be something else going around that might be as bad or is a mutation they are not testing for. I am worried that we are never going to be without masks.

I had my second AstraZeneca jab on Saturday evening. I didn't feel particularly good yesterday, but it was not nearly as bad as after the first dose. I'm back to normal now.

Glad you're feeling better...For some reason I was thinking that vaccine was a single shot...

CDC to say fully vaccinated people can ditch masks indoors

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will reportedly ease indoor mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, the Associated Press reported Thursday. According to the report, those who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus will now be able to stop wearing the masks while inside in most places.

Fully vaccinated individuals will reportedly still be advised to wear masks while in crowded indoor settings such as while on public transportation and in hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, the Associated Press reported.

The states that have a mask mandate should drop those mandates given what the CDC has announced...Starting tomorrow I shall be maskless...

Wow, crickets over this announcement and turn of events, is it fear that still has a grip maybe?...Of course this decision by the CDC is political, a helping hand at just the right time to take the pressure off of the decrepit and mistake ridden President but I think it's the right decision...However this decision has the potential to unfold into a happy outcome or it could be a disastrous decision...The unvaccinated could also shed their masks and cause another wave of covid to sweep the country along with the Indian variant which is in the mist of spreading in this country or people could use common sense with most of the unvaccinated continuing mask wearing until they are fully vaccinated...The anti-vaxers have been already going maskless so they don't really make a difference at this point, it's just the other unvaccinated and their decisions in the coming weeks that will make the difference in whether covid has another wave of infections or not...

Vaccinated people are still catching covid, even with being cautious and masked up, Bill Maher is a recent example and the New York Yankees are another example...Their whole team has been vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson and 8 team players have recently tested positive for covid, but 7 of those 8 have no symptoms which shows me that the vaccine is working...The vaccines are meant to keep serious illness, hospitalization, and/or death from occurring and it seems to be working for the most part...

You might be surprised at the response. No lack of kooks. Around here that's still verboten.

Frankly, if the store takes down the signs mandating masks then go for it. I'll be in a big retail store all day today and tomorrow and the masks are still required but people are becoming very lax. Rather than just disappear as I normally do I think I'll just take it in stride. If Obergruppenfuhrer Cuomo (remember those sex charges that just vanished? ) says the vaccine is the passport to no masks then I'll go for the little prick. The needle that is.

My state has also dropped the mask mandate for vaccinated people everywhere indoors with the exception of public transportation and hospitals...Unless we have a big surge of infections and deaths here locally I won't wear a mask anymore...

Our governor announced yesterday that all vaccinated people can go without masks anywhere and social distancing is no longer a rule if you are vaccinated. So, I expect everyone will be maskless whether they are vaccinated or not.
