There are many hours of detailed nitpicking in here. I cleaned, dyed and painted as appropriate. Turns out the fix for the dull chrome bits is a razor knife which took some mental adjustment. Easy. Put a heater core in the thing, replaced all the vacuum control rubber lines and actuators, repaired/replaced all the duct work, insulated the firewall. Fixed broken sockets and bulbs, cigarette lighter, hopefully the odometer reset, power window switches. I want all the stuff in the dashboard and console to work including the heat/defrost. Hasn't since I bought it in Nov 2016. Holding my breath. Spent the day doing wiggle-wiggle-fiddle-fiddle and routing things, made a bracket to hold the giant radio. A little more time needed for all that and I should be able to reconnect the battery, do some testing and button it up. Want to fire that thing up already.

I've heard a heater core is difficult to replace, so much has to be removed to even get to it...

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - Yellowstone National Park and U.S. Park Rangers are investigating after a woman approached a bear at Roaring Mountain.

On May 10, at approximately 4:45 p.m., an unidentified woman approached a female grizzly bear and her two cubs at the north end of the Roaring Mountain parking lot, YNP wrote in a Facebook post. The grizzly charged the woman who then turned and walked away from the bears.

The woman is described as being white, in her mid 30s, with brown hair and wearing black clothing.

If you were around Roaring Mountain at the time of the incident, or you have information that could help, contact NPS Investigative Services Branch at 888-653-0009, online at www.nps.gov/ISB, or by emailing nps_isb@nps.gov.

My thoughts exactly

Don't think that's where these were taken but I've been to the Milwaukee Zoo a bunch of times. I remember putting my nieces on the little choo-choo there when they were small (grown women now).
Racine even has a dusty, sad little zoo.

So these here metal shelves are from a drug store I used to frequent back in the '80s. Had them for years. It was a drug store that took over the space next to it and stuffed it full of one-off stuff, cheap tools, car stereos, pure junk. Precursor to dollar stores and maybe Harbor Freight. Used to go get misspelled holiday decorations there . Merry Chistmas indeed. In fact the little fake tree I still use came from there.

Got an idea for an equipment shelf on wheels. Went and got the casters and some angle iron. If I had welding equipment I could schtick it together but I don't so I'll settle for some big honking bolts. Think I'm gonna paint it with an HVLP gun and some thinned Rustoleum.

There was a piece of GUM still stuck underneath a shelf from who knows when :)

this is one of those times when a heat when is useful .....
