The Pentagon FINALLY admits it investigates UFOs

I know many in the UFO community will be disappointed by this (assuming the news reports are accurate). But they really shouldn't be. No one should have been so naive as to expect the government to officially, and unequivocally, declare that aliens have been visiting Earth (even if they have been, which is not something I am privy to).

Steve Bassett gets a pass though. lol

Btw, blame the aliens themselves for the lack of full fledged disclosure.
It should be obvious that they could make their presence (if it is such) inescapably and universally known, if they really wanted to.

I dislike hard core skeptics they are to set in their ways and won't budge evcn if a intergalactic tin can saucer landed in their back yard and asked them for a cup of sugar.

How about pancakes? Jacques Vallee reports in A Passport to Magonia that one witness was invited by aliens to eat super awesome pancakes on board their craft!

I think when you look at the history of the phenomenon and add this latest report and what it is alluding to, it does point towards a conclusion here. Considering that, I think some people can read between the lines here. What is surprising is that they are actually admitting to something like this. If theyre being honest here, this report tells a lot more even with this little.

I mean come on. I live in Finland, right next to us was the Soviet Union, now Russia. We have lived in it's shadow for a long time and there has always been the threat there. They took Karelia from us in the 40s. If they had this kind of tech, they would have come over our borders already, easily. And to think that China on the other hand has had this since 40s and has just sat on it, while they can't get their rocket to the orbit without it crashing and potentially causing harm. No way. And other nations besides the superpowers, does Japan have something like this, does France? How about Jamaica? .... I don't think so. If we have something that makes even the US, the biggest military spender quake in their boots and wonder about this, it makes me think of non human origin.

accounts from witnesses

To be fair, there are an awful lot of accounts that are hoaxes, pure BS and mental illness. Definitely taints things and calls for a little circumspection. To some every point of light in the sky or FedEx jet caught on FLIR is ET. Being skeptical is fine, it's healthy but don't confuse a skeptic with a cynical knee-jerk debunker.

As to why they don't listen to pilots - often the people we entrust our lives to at times - who the hell knows. They are human with the same foibles as all of us; they make mistakes, might even be people with truly unpleasant opinions unrelated to aviation and nobody you'd want to hang around with. But it is all downside and no upside to reporting anything and you'd think we would pay more attention to these specialists who actually do come forward.

Nothing lasts forever. The era of 'absolutely not, are you crazy or drunk? is over. Fresh faces, new people, the Old Guard is dying off. The men and women in military aviation in particular have different attitudes, perceptions and the ability to share information that their predecessors didn't have. Part of the stigma surrounding this issue and general skepticism is ufology itself and the circus that it brings to town. I hope to get to the Pine Bush UFO festival and bet that I'm not out of my car 5 minutes before THAT point is hammered home.

By the way, if I knew a guy with an old black caddy I'd shave my head totally and go their in an old MiB suit.

It's funny, over at the debunking forums, they haven't even mentioned the latest about UFOS and seem prepared to continue on with the ridiculous idea that past presidents and heads of CIA etc. are ALL being misled!! I think it is time to hand over the foil hats to those folks, properly modified with blinkers to suit their silly speculations! Hard to believe scientists could embrace bizarre conspiracy theories like that, but heck, they've been ignoring the phenomenon for decades and refuse even now to look at the history of it, so nothing is surprising anymore. Should have their own section in the DSM-V!! Hehehehe...
Now it looks like their precious Gimbal rotation idea is being challenged.

Yo Mama's a Chinese drone. These aren't drones and they've been around for a long time.
They surely have a m0untain of footage and evidence (more than even Congress got to see), as Elizondo has mentioned, but it is all classified.

"There have been sightings all over the world," he said. "And when we talk about sightings, the other thing I will tell you, it’s not just a pilot or just a satellite or some intelligence collection. Usually, we have multiple sensors that are picking up these things."
--Former National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe

And in the past:
"The phenomenon is something real and not visionary or fictitious. There are objects approximating the shape of a disc, some of which appear flat on bottom and domed on top. These objects are as large as man-made aircraft and have a metallic or light-reflecting surface. Further they exhibit extreme rates of climb and maneuverability with no associated sound and take action which must be considered evasive when contacted by aircraft and radar."

--Nathan Farragut Twining

RAND report:

"We have enough data—both visual and photographic—on some of these sightings to know that the phenomenon is unambiguously extraordinary and clearly inexplicable in modern terms. The author examines UFO brightness, size, and maneuvers, and discusses the frequency and location of sightings. He ends by suggesting the need for more standardized reporting on UFOs, so that times and locations of appearances may be anticipated and badly needed objective data may be obtained."

I watched the Channel 7 local state news last night and they put up a photo from one of the Tic Tac UAP videos and said that the public should not worry as experts had advised them that the UAPs are not Alien spaceships. They said that the experts (?) didn't actually know that these objects are but assured everyone they are not from outer space ? Here is another new item saying the same thing.

Another example of why I have ignored television for the past few decades. I'm browsing this thread on a nice big flat screen TV, but it's not connected to anything but a computer by way of a receiver. Netflix, Prime, Bluray discs, etc. This avoids a shitload of lameness all at once. Of course the innernets is full of lameness too but the mixture is less irritating. TV sucks, generally.

Yes, I would believe what my government told me about UFOs. Please!! I was fully expecting these reports to be redacted and they are. Thus far it sounds like the government has admitted they have been investigating UFOs but they don’t have a handle on what is behind the phenomena. All that supposed effort that tells me absolutely nothing.

I really hope one of those Tic Tacs lands on their aircraft carrier . That should freak them out to take it seriously.

Looks like the folks at Metabunk have clued in that Elizondo is still working for the government. He mentioned it in an oblique manner some time ago when he said "regardless of what capacity I may or may not be working in" --and no one caught it... And later flat out admitted it, here:

I think the government is split on how to address or the topic with the public, and he is the channel they have open for gradual disclosure --Again, because the devices are becoming more active again, all over the world, because we are working hard to destroy same.

Can you indicate the approximate time of the admission?
