I do have dry skin, but I prefer that to a chronic cough, which is how my body reacts to high humidity. I lived in Dallas a lot of years and had a cough that would not go away. Several doctors were not interested in finding out why, or even checking to see if I had fungus or mold issues. I had lived in an apartment that had black mold on the inside of the walls due to a leak from the upstairs apartment. I didn't know what it was until the mold got so bad it was on the outside of the walls. I think that contributed to the chronic cough but I was just poo poo'd by the doctors. A week after moving back to New Mexico I had no more cough. Now I do cough when my allergies are bad And the humidity is over 18% but it is temporary.I'm quite accumulated the higher humidity, although 70 percent and higher can be uncomfortable, ideally I like the humidity from 50 to 60 percent...Right now inside my house its at 65 percent, a little on the high side but with the AC on its fine...I don't think I could live in a location that maintains a very low humidity, my skin doesn't handle dry climates very well...
