Gene Steinberg's Financial Shenanigans @ Paracast forums

I just got an email from this website informing me of a new post...

Funnily enough, I recently got email from Steinberg - even though he has been told more than once to NEVER contact me again, for any reason... anyway, he thought he could convince me to agree to show up for a 15th anniversary episode, he used the term "bury the hatchet" from his shockingly limited vocabulary, and of course, included in my rather harsh response to him was the line that I'd love to bury the hatchet between his inbred eyes. He then proceeded to tell me I was being too harsh with him, and that I should find it in me to forgive and forget. Fucking lunatic, I kept telling him to fuck off, but one of the traits of his mental illness is the uncontrolled urge to have the last word, he kept trying to have the last email word, until I finally created a filter to send anything from him straight in the trash.

Long ago I relegated him to spam.
Thanks for everything. Hope you stick around.

I popped over to the Paracast website. I probably haven’t looked at it in over a year or more. It amazed me how many guests that have showed up over the past two years. Didn’t these people know about Steinberg’s antics? I am guessing that they really don’t care what kind of human Steinberg is. When I look down the list I would think most of these people are basically there to shill a book or promote something.

No wonder the UFO field gets such bad marks.

The fourm is the ghost town.
The show is a joke. Gene's reputation throughout the community is ruined forever. No one is listening. And hardly anyone cares anymore. The begging may have stopped for now but its legacy remains.

I know I don’t care anymore. I used to enjoy the hokey Gene-Chris show but the greasy weirdness of GS was nearly as off putting as Randall Murphy. I’m really, REALLY glad J Randall doesn’t play AD&D because there’s enough jumped up didactic know it alls on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Facebook groups

I ran across a link to the forum somewhere, a while back, so I decided to see what was going on over there. Apparently a busy day is one with three or four posts, and most of those are Randall carrying on about something or other. I'm glad the lights are still on because there is some really good stuff buried in the archives there. I think I saw something about Kevin Randle being a guest recently. I never know what to make of that. I suppose he's just a very loyal fellow where old friends are concerned. It would be interesting to know how many people listen to the podcast, but the chances of getting an honest answer about that are slim and none.

Dar Bob Watson,

I first got into the mail order business when I was a teen, in the 1960s. After trying to do it the old fashioned way, buying up merchandise at wholesale and selling it with magazine ads, I soon realized that managing the whole enterprise took time I didn’t have what with going to school and planning for my future.

I discovered drop-shipping, where a company would fill the order and send it to my customers. For each order, I received a modest commission. At one time, I teamed up with a publisher of paranormal books, and made a few dollars selling their stuff.

That’s how it began.

From the very first day we debuted The Paracast, we wanted to merchandise the show. Listeners wanted personalized T-shirts and other products with The Official Paracast logo, and we were happy to make it happen.

At first, we lined up a printer and ordered a selection of branded T-shirts in different sizes. Of course, we guessed which sizes we’d need — and we were usually wrong — but we got better at it.

This also meant getting into the mail order business, keeping stock, managing orders, juggling customer service. It also meant investing in merchandise without knowing what would sell and what wouldn’t.

But what about drop-shopping?

Finally, we decided to set up one of those on-demand online storefronts. They make it possible for you to build a complete store and rely on the service’s ordering system to custom print personalized products and ship them.

That should have been it, except we selected a print-on-demand firm that, without letting us know, discontinued the service after a few years. So one day, our storefront link pointed to — nothing.

Since then, we have tried a couple of services to see which one offered the most reliable experience. Along the way, we had a developer custom-build a shop. He made deals with suppliers to drop-ship the orders, with hit-or-miss results. Sure, orders were shipped relatively on time, but it required lots of hand-holding and he bailed shortly before the worldwide pandemic hit.

Back to the on-demand printing service.

The newest version of The Official Paracast Store will officially launch on June 24, 2021, but we have it working now. It’s ready to roll. You can check it out at: link removed

Our store uses the CafePress print-on-demand system to run the shop and fill the orders. As many of you know, CafePress is a reliable company founded in 1999. It is currently owned by PlanetArt, a firm that specializes in personalized products under several brand names that also include FreePrints, Ink Cards, Personal Creations, SimplytoImpress, and Gifts.com.

Over the past few days, we’ve worked day and night to get the store ready. Well, actually our Paracast co-host, J. Randall Murphy, has done much of the heavy lifting.

The look and feel still has glitches, and features are being added. But the ordering system is rock solid. Absolutely! This means you can order the Official Paracast branded products you want and be assured that you will receive your merchandise as quickly as possible.

And that’s not all…

We are also looking into opening up one or more additional Official Paracast storefronts for an even wider selection of personalized products.

We are also opening up the shop to artists.

So, do you have any cool designs? One of the ways you can promote yourself for free is to donate a design. If it’s accepted, we'll feature it here on the shop! You and your friends will be able to order all kinds of goodies with your artwork. Great for gifts too! If it sells, we'll also award you with a credit for The Paracast+.

For now, please visit our new store and look around. Remember, that the commission we receive when you order from The Official Paracast Shop helps us pay the bills.
And if you have any questions about our new shop, just write.

Peace,
Gene

Of course the question begged is why anyone would want to be caught in public with silly Paracast swag. Or, maybe it's designed for discrete basement use.

Yeah! That's definitely Barbara Helen and his son. (Who last I heard is in Europe) no gene. Yeah it's a casino alright. Great find.

Its not the only one.. I found another one inside a casino, and Gene was actually in the shot; but I think maybe we've seen it before. Either way there's a lot of casino'ing going on yet isn't he supposed to be dirt poor? Whatever happened to that purse business he was helping Barb and co with? And that disabled nephew or some such caper? Has anyone looked at some of his previous addresses? Weren't some of them almost like luxury condominiums? Sometimes doesn't add up at all with this.

It's been over a year now since Gene unleashed his last beg mail. June 2020 to be exact. Before that only 2.
March 2019 is when it stopped. So..what happened? Did Gene hit a Payday at the casino? He get a contract that paid him? Was he told to stop by the network or Randall?
Did Anders do something to stop him? (Threatened to put his website away forever?).
We will never know.
