The Pentagon FINALLY admits it investigates UFOs

This for years was supposedly an image of a M.I.B but now this has been questioned as to its authenticity.

I don't think its authenticity should be doubted. According to Charles Lear, Timothy Green Beckley (who recently passed away) snapped the photo while being driven by Jim Moseley. But in Nick Redfern’s 2011 book, The Real Men in Black, Moseley is quoted explaining his thoughts on what they had seen:

"The only thing that kind of made sense to me was that he was a look-out for a bookie joint, or some illegal operation. But the point is, to me anyway—not to Tim, I know—it had absolutely nothing to do with the Robertsons or with flying saucers. He might have seen Tim taking his picture out of the car, and if he was doing something illegal that’s why he left."

So, the photo itself appears to be perfectly legit; it just has been misinterpreted by others.

Authenticity as far as claiming it to represent an M.I.B. yes.

Well, even though they came clean at some point about the status of the guy in the photo, I think it's probable they promoted it for some time. Beckley made many sensational claims in print, and Moseley was known to perpetrate hoaxes. His most famous one was the infamous Straith letter he sent to Adamski.

Unfortunately, even though Mosely eventually admitted that they didn't believe the dude was a true MIB, many in the UFO community will continue to believe that he was.

That's as much personal info available since 2017 and we first heard of him, and it's really only a small portion of that article. I remember looking him up and finding a wiki entry on him and a picture of him in uniform. I thought his background was in diseases, biological warfare, something along those lines and that maybe have been what he was a specialist in. His education would support that. A bit odd all that got erased. At least last time I checked.

At any rate, he did that for some time before being recruited into Intelligence and from what I read he appears highly intelligent and would naturally be the sort they would be looking to recruit. He's still a bit of an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Wish we knew exactly what he did in service to see if it matches what we've been told.

I believe people like Luis Elizond0 are telling the truth. The problem is they have to embellish it and make it sexy so it will appeal more in interviews and books.

Well...what 'truth' is he really telling? Anyone paying attention knows that ufos (uaps) have been seen for a long time and reported by many people in and out of the govt. This is not news....the public is aware of this over the years. What's new is an ex govt intel person (alleged ufo spook) and his 'friends' are trying to make a news story of it.
Why?

There's the problem, he's a spook. Heard him address it fairly well to John Greenewald but still. Hard to let go of that because, well, there is history behind Intelligence organizations and UFOs and we have enough reasons to distrust what comes out of that community. Unless they say something that we like or that reinforces a pet theory, in which case it's swallowed whole without too much concern. Almost as if that's the entire point to it all. But what about those of us standing here asking 'what does God need a starship for?'

He does sound convincing and what we are seeing is pretty damned cool. But to date myself with an obscure Lieutenant Columbo reference, there's just one more thing. I'd like to know, to the degree possible, just what this man's background is. What does he peddle as his non-classified CV ? If he graduated high school in 1990 he's what, not quite 50 yet? True he packed in his 20 in the military but he didn't get out of boot camp and go straight into secret programs. I'd just like to have a better idea of who he is and what he's been doing and who he's working for now. Lockheed Martin contractor I read somewhere. Sounds pushy of me but I'm not the one making these amazing claims. He put himself out there but three years later I still don't know too much about this guy except that he apparently has poor judgement when it comes to ufology and ufologists. You would think a run for public office would reveal some of this stuff.

It may be a win win day for the UFO/UAP deniers.
I have to respectfully disagree. Society is changing so rapidly now with technology, especially the internet. In the coming years it will get much more difficult for the government to cover up the truth. Public opinion is also changing and shifting more and more in the direction of believing in alien visitations. Cracks will continue to develop in the dam of obstruction until eventually no one will be able to stop the breaching water.

Maybe your right I do hope so. I do know of some itinerant debunkers/ deniers/ that would still deny / debunk if an Alien bit them on the arse. UFO debunkers were a dime a dozen not too long ago but while they are still lurking in the shadows, ready to “poo poo” any evidence that UFOs are real, they don’t seem to be as vocal as they once were. That’s the perception of many ufologists today but under no circumstances have they dropped their guard.

Well, I thought the report was pretty cool all things considered. Didn't expect much and wasn't disappointed. You could rehash Blue Book's conclusions and come up with something very similar, except this really does take it one step further and acknowledge the reality and potential (pardon the term) gravity of the truly unexplained.

Right now I'd still rather read this concrete thing than listen to more Lue.
