Well, a crowd gathered 'round
And a scientist said it was marsh gas
Spiro came to make a speech
About raisin' the Mars tax
Vatican said "Woe, the Lord has come"
Hollywood rushed out an epic film
Ronnie the Populist said
It was a communist plot

18 out of 144 is about 12 percent. Fits with the true unknowns usually being 10-5 percent of cases. They can probably narrow it down some more.

Yes however 143 are unidentified, they could only identify one of them, the 18 are attributed with the wielding of potentially advanced technology beyond our understanding...Then there's also 11 near misses with government aircraft...

I still don't understand fully, as you weren't replying to any post. Who was speaking bunk? Or are you referring to the report itself? And what is the bunk part, that it takes UFOs too seriously or not seriously enough? Or are you suggesting they know more than they are letting on?

Exactly.

Of course they know more. This thing if they try to play that this is just something from the last 20 years or so, it's not gonna fly with us who have been here for long.

US Air Force staying so quiet for so long is rather telling. It's the silence of one that is guilty, part of the long cover up. If they think we can just forget the past 70 years, they have another thing coming.

The canned answer is that all reporting now goes through DoD but I agree, shouldn't they have something to say? Especially if it's occurring as often as Elizondo claims.

Off our coasts you'd think the Coast Guard or some other agency like NOAA (just a wild guess) might've seen something too. The weird little gadgets like to hang around San Clemente Island. If they were actually worried about something - say the North Koreans has some sort of sub lurking off shore - don't you think there would be a response that military geeks like me would be having spasms over?

Even the most optimistic Pollyannas know they're not going to release the good stuff. We'll just be subjected to blurry, shadowy distant shapes.

I don't doubt they have 'the good stuff' but there was a point in the report worth mentioning here. It said military sensor systems are designed for specific purposes and may render an inaccurate or misleading interpretation depending on circumstance. Also that the unknows may be employing 'signature mitigation techniques' which is a way of saying stealth/spoofing. It's why those 600+ foot long Zumwalt destroyers have the radar cross section of a fishing boat or why they described the original Have Blue results for the F117 as having the radar signature of a sparrow.

I can probably google some up, but there are some really cool pics of aircraft interceptions that have taken place over the years. Often it was the pilot with personal initiative and his personal camera that got it, not his gun camera of on board gadgetry.

People have said this is about getting more power and money but our military and intel groups have more funding and power than they need according to most here in the US.
I do believe some in the govt (obviously not all) felt they needed to respond to the constant pressure from the ruckus Elizondo and others stirred up..........but regarding sightings...I read that France had 600 unknowns over the last 9 years since 2012...that comes out to about 66 near misses with ufos each year or 5-6 a month. Considering we must have similar figures and one assumes that other major countries like England, Germany, Russia, China, etc do as well....those aliens must be pretty darn busy and pulling a lot of overtime just to look at our planes and ships all over the world which one assumes they have already done for a long time since 'they' have allegedly been here for decades.
Are the aliens that bored that they need to continue to buzz us all the time or are they simply bad scientists and data collectors? Does this not bother anyone as being irrational?
So...what's wrong with this picture? And why is this never talked about on all the useless media programs by scientists and intelligent researchers?
