The last film I went to watch in a cinema was '2001;a space odyssey' back in the early seventies. Rated it the best film I ever watched.
You should make it a point to go to a theater. I haven't seen a movie in a theater since maybe 2005 when I saw The Day After Tomorrow. I guess the pattern would state the Grays made me see it. The below would also state Coast to Coast AM was a Gray idea if Whitley and Art are both abductees.
The Day After Tomorrow - RationalWiki
The Day After Tomorrow is a 2004 disaster movie centred on climate change. It's about people saving the world versus people destroying the world. The unrealistically frequent anomalous weather events and terrible dialogue serve to sensationalise the genuine threat of global warming at the expense of scientific integrity and good taste.[note 1] The film also enjoys violating the laws of thermodynamics.[note 2]

The script was based on The Coming Global Superstorm, co-written by Whitley Strieber (famous for writing books about alien abduction) and Art Bell. And it's a shame, because the composer, Harald Kloser, seemed to be the only one taking his job seriously.[1]

Suicide Squad is entertaining, I think its better than the previous version, more funny at times...It had a couple lame moments that lost my attention a bit but other times it had me laughing out loud...

A weasel really?? Lol I thought the shark was going to be lame but they did it right, funny how he talked similar to hulk lol...The polka-dot man was the lamest but even he made me laugh a couple times...Harley Quinn tried too hard in some scenes, other scenes she was spot on...

...

The best thing going for this movie, there's virtually none of the social or political messaging that's been prevelant in other movies lately...So refreshing...

I have a difficult time finding something to watch. I usually end up watching travel shows on PBS. There's only a few TV shows I'll watch like NCIS: Los Angeles & The Blacklist which I don't follow enough to know what's going on.

The last time I was in a theater was almost 4 years ago....since we got cable 10 years ago we have not paid to see films at the theater as much but we do rent or watch cable films. Last one I watched which was 'free' for me was Wonder Woman:1984 .....and it was not that good. I like the character as done by Gadot but this one was pretty lame imho.
I watch many sci-fi and super hero series on cable. I recommend Doom Patrol on HBO Max , The Umbrella Academy on Netflix, Pennyworth on Epix, His Dark Materials on HBO, The Nevers on HBO, A Discovery of Witches on AMC , and Loki on Disney Plus.
I also watch The Blacklist on NBC and enjoyed Debris on NBC but it was canceled.

Debris was on at 22:00 pacific time which was a problem. It got too weird too quick.

I think they wanted to get right into the fact that they were recovering alien debris and not waste time with too miuch background. It was ok with me but my issue was with the two main actors who I thought were simply too young and inexperienced for the roles.

This one is lame, not like the other purge movies and this movie has too much social messaging and race baiting ruining the suspense a horror movie usually carries, 30 minutes into it and I was done watching...

Metanoia
Original 1978 film Halloween by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. A very good horror suspense movie . I think they made 7 of them this one is the very first. Loved the old sci movie clips they showed on the old black and white
television. Impaling Bob to the door by Michael Myers was my favourite scene. 7.5 out of 10.

I still liked the first one best.

I still like that one too, but this new one is more lighthearted and comical like Guardians of the Galaxy is...

This is a good comical superhero movie from the 90s, Mystery Men, I've watched it a few times since it came out in 1999...

Well, I finished Gettysburg (1993). It was excellent, 9/10. It devoted plenty of time to both the battles and character development. Nonethless, I might have given it a 10, if not for it being one of the longest films released by a major film studio in the United States.

It's certainly a movie Civil War buffs would relish; the amount of detail was amazing. As I mentioned in the Trailers Thread, this wouldn't have been possible without the thousands of Civil War reenactors who volunteered as extras.

Weird Trivia
General Armistead died shortly after the battle. He was portrayed by Richard Jordan, who died before the film was released.

I remember an interview with Ted Turner where he described the aerial scene over the Confederate artillery line on Seminary Ridge - at the time it was done with an RC helicopter and that was whizz-bang. Now if it wasn't CGI it could easily be done (much better) with a drone. As I remember Ted gave himself a cameo as his own real ancestor and his screen time amounted to a heroic 'follow me' or something like that before he got shot.

The Turner “Gettysburg” movie was well done for its time. The one thing that bothered me were the beards. General Longstreet’s beard looked faked as all get out. Now a days the special effects artists do a much better job on things like that.
