Two or three years ago, CBS was my favorite channel, at least for non-superhero content. At the same time, they were known to cater to an "older" audience. Well, apparently they decided to aim for a different demographic. Within the last couple of years, most of their shows rapidly started to go Woke, even the law enforcement series.

Right now, only the original NCIS and the Magnum PI reboot are tolerable for me. (I don't know how long that will last.)

Yeah, I saw that. I'd explode with rage too. I'm not Woke and think that if you have a dick use the room that has apparatus specifically designed for it.
Much less disturbing, but also alarming, is that I haven't found a single "mainstream" outlet reporting about the rape.
In parallel to this, I've come across quite a view people who refuse to acknowledge information unless it comes from one of their preferred sources. (I've even seen that on this forum, though not recently.)

It probably won't happen in my lifetime-at least I hope not-but the US could be drifting towards a civil war.

I don't know. It certainly does feel a lot like we're coning down with a case of 1968 again.

Loudoun County father who was dragged out of woke school board meeting and arrested was trying to tell parents his daughter was raped by a boy 'in a skirt' in the girls' bathroom and staff ignored it

Scott Smith was photographed on June 22 being dragged out of the heated meeting with his torso exposed in Leesburg, Virginia. The 48-year-old plumber was ridiculed on social media after the June 22 meeting and painted by the left to be a deranged, right-win bigot. But in an interview with The Daily Wire that was published on Monday, he explains that he was trying to stick up for his daughter, who he says was attacked at Stone Bridge High School on May 28 by a boy 'in a skirt' who took advantage of the trans policies to get into the girls' bathrooms and assault her. He said he exploded with rage at the meeting after hearing the school's ultra-liberal staff claim they had never received a report of a sexual assault by a transgender child in the bathrooms or changing rooms when he says that's exactly what he reported to them on May 28. A boy was charged with sodomy for the alleged assault on Smith's daughter in May, but the sheriff's department did not release details of it at the time. The same boy was charged on October 7 with assaulting a different girl in a different school. A sheriff's spokesman confirmed to DailyMail.com that it was the same boy, but they could not reveal his identity.

Netflix Defends Chappelle Special in Memo, Suspends Employees

Netflix Inc. co-Chief Executive Officer Ted Sarandos defended the company’s decision to air a controversial Dave Chappelle comedy special featuring trans jokes as “artistic freedom.”

“We don’t allow titles [on] Netflix that are designed to incite hate or violence, and we don’t believe ‘The Closer’ crosses that line,” he wrote in a memo last week obtained by Variety Monday. “Particularly in stand-up comedy, artistic freedom is obviously a very different standard of speech than we allow internally as the goals are different: entertaining people versus maintaining a respectful, productive workplace.”

The company on Monday also suspended three employees who crashed an executive meeting last week, including Terra Field, a transgender worker who spoke out against the Chappelle special, according to a person familiar with the matter

Rolling Stones are forced to CANCEL 'Brown Sugar' over slavery lyrics: Keith Richards says 50-year-old song is about 'horrors' of the trade but he's tired of fighting with people 'trying to bury it' and band will not play it anymore

The Rolling Stones have decided to stop playing their 1969 song Brown Sugar 'for now', due to its 'nasty' lyrics about slavery and racism. Keith Richards said he was surprised people were only reacting now, because the 50-year-old song was always overtly unpleasant. Richards and Mick Jagger wrote the song in 45 minutes at Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama, and it was first performed in 1969 at the Altamont Speedway festival in California.

Rhetorical question to the SJW crowd, "Is literally all expression of disapproval or disagreement with gays, transgenders, or pro-gay/pro-transgender policies to be regarded as hate deserving of suppression? If not, what kinds of expressions of disapproval or disagreement with these groups or policies would be non-suppression-worthy?"

I venture that if some of them tried to provide suggestions for the latter, they would be shouted down by the others.

Woke activists try and fail to cancel Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood for decades-old Academy Awards quip

Actor and Director Clint Eastwood has been targeted by "cancel culture" on social media this week over a clip from a 1970s awards show.

The clip in question comes from the 1973 Academy Awards in which actor Marlon Brando famously refused to accept his award for Best Actor in "The Godfather" and instead sent a Native American activist on stage to lament Hollywood’s treatment of American Indians by the film industry.

"I’m representing Marlon Brando this evening, and he has asked me to tell you, in a very long speech — which I cannot share with you presently because of time, but I will be glad to share with the press afterwards — that he very regretfully cannot accept this very generous award," the activist, Sacheen Littlefeather, said on the podium. "And the reasons for this being are the treatment of American Indians today by the film industry, and on television in movie reruns, and also with recent happenings at Wounded Knee."

Eastwood, who at that time had played roles in several popular western movies including "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" and the cop classic "Dirty Harry," then took to the stage to present the award for Best Picture to "The Godfather" and referenced Littlefeather’s remarks before giving out the award.

"I don’t know if I should present this award, on behalf of all the cowboys shot in all the John Ford Westerns over the years," Eastwood joked.

Forty-eight years later, that joke drew the ire of progressive activist Rafael Shimunov who attacked the legendary actor and director over the clip.

"1973: Native American actor Sacheen Littlefeather boo'd (and cheered) by Hollywood at the Oscars before being mocked by Clint Eastwood and almost physically assaulted by John Wayne simply for asking that Indigenous people not to be dehumanized in film," Shimunov tweeted to his over 50,000 followers earlier this week.

Shimunov then added several articles to the thread accusing Eastwood, who recently released a film called "Cry Macho," of racism over the years.

The campaign against Eastwood appears to have fizzled out with many of the commenters on the thread defending the 91-year-old "Cry Macho" director.

Demi Lovato: calling ETs 'alien' is offensive

Speaking in a recent interview, the singer claimed that the term 'alien' is offensive to extraterrestrials. Lovato, who is currently promoting a new investigative TV series on the subject of UFOs entitled "Unidentified with Demi Lovato", had been speaking to media outlets when she made the rather controversial claim that the term 'alien' is actually offensive to the aliens themselves.

"I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything," she said in response to a question about an unreleased song. "I call them ETs."

Her comments ended up going viral, with her quote becoming a trending topic on social media. The TV show itself follows the singer, her best friend and her sister as they go on an expedition to visit UFO hotspots, eyewitnesses, alien abductees and UFO researchers in a quest to uncover the truth about the phenomenon. "I wanted to film everything that goes down when I go and search for these UFOs so that my fans can come along for the ride," she said.

Lovato also remains adamant that extraterrestrial visitors harbor no ill-will towards humanity. "I want people to have an open mind and heart and to realize that these beings are looking out for our best interest," she told Entertainment Weekly. "There's nothing to fear. If they wanted to hurt us, they would've hurt us."

Woke Walmart CEO Doug McMillon forces staff to undergo CRT training that teaches the US is a 'white supremacy system' - but employs just one person of color on his top management team

Walmart has forced more than 1,000 executives to through 'critical race theory training' that teaches white people are guilty of 'white supremacy thinking' and 'internalized racial superiority,' according to documents leaked by a whistleblower.

Walmart launched the training program in 2018 under CEO Doug McMillon through the Racial Equity Institute - a North Carolina-based firm that works with universities, government agencies and corporations - making the program mandatory for executives and recommending it to hourly-wage employees.

According to the documents leaked to City Journal, the program begins with the claim that the US is a 'white supremacy system' designed by white Europeans 'for the purpose of assigning and maintaining white skin access to power and privilege.'

The whistleblower also claimed that McMillon is a believer in critical race theory and hopes to export the program to other large corporations through his role as chairman of the Business Roundtable, which comprises of more than 200 of American's largest companies.

Despite the commitment to promote diversity and racial equality, only one of Walmart's nine top executives is not white, Global Chief Technology Officer Suresh Kumar, and the vast majority of its 40 vice presidents are white.

So, is the PC Madness/SJWs-Run-Wild phenomenon proof that the so-called Powers-That-Be are not really in control? Especially as it has infected corporate boards, elite universities, private schools, the AMA, and the upper echelons of the government and military - all the presumed bastions of the Ruling Class.

Or, if the "Illuminati" (or whatever they call themselves) are behind it, what is their end game? I don't get it.

I've thought about this a bit, and I've come up with an idea. It may not apply to everything, and I'm not yet certain about it, but here it is.

Maybe with respect to language and appearances, PC speech, gender preference in addressing people, Critical Race Theory dogma, etc. are a type of IQ test for the elite. The idea is that if you are truly worthy to belong to the ruling class, you will be competent at giving the appearance of having sympathy with certain attitudes and values, while inwardly not giving a damn (or even being opposed). By contrast, those who become infuriated by the SJW language-games are exhibiting insufficient mastery of their emotions.

This could apply to many arenas of power, and even to private school elite trainees. The best and brightest will be able to figure out how to "talk the talk." As for the medical profession, the sharpest doctors will know when to go along with medical fads, and when to reject them, but without appearing to have any skin in the game. Similarly, on a corporate board, one worthy of privilege will know how to promote their preferred goals without giving the appearance of either prejudice or insincerity. - A plausible sounding justification can be found for almost any specific conclusion.

As for the masses, they will operate under the delusion that they themselves are calling the shots.

[I study a lot of history and have learned that at many times and places, the privileged classes knew languages (French in Medieval England, Latin throughout Europe, Sanskrit in India, etc.) and had language skills (literacy and rhetoric) that the majority of the population didn't.]

As an addendum to the above, in any position where a genuinely competent person needs to be calling the shots, it will still be possible to present a figurehead to the public who externally checks the right boxes.

What do you think?

New battle of the Alamo: US war memorabilia donated by Phil Collins sparks row as critics argue it helps to reinforce narrative focusing on the historic battle's white leaders

Phil Collins gave his huge collection of artifacts to Texas on condition the state sets up a museum at the Alamo - but the proposal has sparked a race row over the historic battle. The Genesis star handed over his hoard of weapons, clothing, letters and other items in 2014, but plans to open the museum next year have met with hostility among Hispanic-Texan activists who say the collection will only reinforce the idea of a heroic struggle between a handful of whites and a Mexican horde. They want it to reflect the contributions to Texan independence of Texans of Mexican descent as well as Native Americans and black slaves.

Student at ultra-liberal $80,000-a-year Oberlin College complains that contractors hired to install radiators in 'women and trans safe space' dorm rooms were 'cisgender men'

upload_2021-10-19_5-36-50.png

A student at an $80,000-a-year ultra-liberal college in Ohio is drawing ridicule online after he said he was 'angry, scared, and confused' because 'cisgender men' installed a radiator in his 'space space' dormitory. Peter Fray-Witzer (left), a student enrolled at Oberlin College, posted an article in Friday's edition of The Oberlin Review in which he takes school administrators to task for giving him short notice about the installation. Fray-Witzer writes that he asked a campus official if he could be exempt from having a radiator installed in his room so as to avoid the 'intrusion.' He also complains that he felt 'mildly violated' and 'a little peeved' when the contractors returned to his dorm room the next day to 'check the insulation.'

DailyMail.com has sought comment from Oberlin College. 'Cisgender' is a term used to describe someone whose gender identity is the same as the sex that they were assigned at birth. The word is considered the antonym of 'transgender' - which means a person who identifies as a gender that is opposite of that which they were assigned when born. The dorm where Fray-Witzer lives, Baldwin Cottage (right), is known as 'the home of the Women and Trans Collective.' Oberlin, the liberal arts college with a student body of 3,000, describes the dorm as 'a close-knit community that provides women and transgendered persons with a safe space for discussion, communal living, and personal development.'
