Last night on the train we got the standard 'I need to raise $24 to get home can you help?'

Works on some, not those who have seen it ten thousand times. GS sounds exactly the same to me. Details are different but no matter how you wrap a turd it still stinks.

I don't know what's sadder, his relentless begging, the fact he's still a thing, or the fact that people are still open to contributing to him.

Does he have a GoFundMe page or are they on to his grift ?

the latest on his money woes!

On Tuesday, a heart surgeon conducted an angioplasty and installed a stent (Boston Scientific Synergy XD) in my left coronary artery.

He also prescribed blood thinners (Plavix and low-dose aspirin) to help clear out blockage in the right coronary artery and my legs. In addition, he will install a stent in my left leg in the near future.

I have to take Plavix for a year, which he said should be sufficient to clear out much of the blockage. He also made it clear that my life is not in danger and, no, I don’t need open heart surgery, although he did mention a pacemaker as a possibility if drugs don’t do the job (which he doesn’t expect). But if it came to that, I’d definitely seek another opinion.

I will obviously have to take care with my diet, and continue to maintain a healthy weight. Hopefully I’ll be in much. better shape by the end of 2022.

In the meantime, nothing is interfering with my work schedule.

Our recent server update has pretty much eliminated service slowdowns, and more and more people are visiting my sites and downloading The Paracast.

The server upgrade, higher rent, plus all the other price increases of recent months have really drained cash. I’m sure most of you are feeling it.

But if you able to provide a little financial help, as always I appreciate your donations, whatever you can send. And I know it’s not easy.

As for me I'm thinking maybe he should take his head out of his ass , but that's my opinion if not consensus .

episode 6 of as the heart turns!
Dear Bob Watson,

I've recovered fully from the heart stent procedure that occurred last month. But my heart issues are getting more complicated.

Later this month, a cardiologist will perform an Ablation on me, a procedure that uses small burns on the heart to help break up the electrical signals that cause irregular heartbeats. I recently had a heart rhythm test, in which a device was placed on my upper left chest to monitor heartbeat on an ongoing basis. The doctor says that the medication he administered, Sotalol, had no effect, so the Ablation procedure is required to restore my heart to relatively normal functionality.

The way it is performed, inserting a catheter through the groin, is said to be minimally invasive and low risk. That doesn’t make me feel any more comfortable about it.

The procedure to install a stent in my left leg is still going to happen in a few weeks, but the Ablation is supposedly more important right now.

Meanwhile, Barbara is having her own health issues, the worst of which is to save her eyesight. She recently had a corneal transplant on her right eye, and she’ll undergo a transplant on her left eye this Thursday. These procedures aren’t always permanent; both eyes were previously done in 2009.

Months after having cataract surgery on both eyes earlier this year, my eyesight is close to normal, and I don’t even need reading glasses anymore. It’s the first time since I was 10 years old that I don’t require correction, and I was happy to toss out my eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Despite the health concerns, I am continuing my regular work schedule with only minor interruptions to manage the medical needs.

The recent server upgrade, higher rent, medical copays, plus all the other price increases of recent months have really drained cash. I’m sure most of you are feeling it.

But if you able to provide a little financial help, as always I appreciate your donations, whatever you can send. And I know it’s not easy.

It sure looks like he can't be arsed to revise his begging list. Why send this crap to the one person who is most likely to post it here, and least likely to "donate"? Maybe a form of harassments? I don't think he's that sophisticated, and really what would be the point?

Come on Gene. You are just reinforcing the notion that you are a lazy grifter.

The heart angle must have gotten him some $$ so he will continue to work it for as long as it is effective.

A not so nice gift from Gene!

Dear Bob Watson,

So treating my heart condition has become different — or more complicated — than I expected.

On Thursday, December 23rd, a cardiologist attempted to perform an Ablation on my heart to fix what is known as premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), which causes extra or irregular heartbeats. The process involves two steps, done via a catheter inserted through the groin. The first is to map or analyze a heart’s electrical system, and the second, to do a cauterize procedure on the affected area.

In my case, the doctor said that the location was not suitable, since it might cause heartbeat issues that would require a pacemaker, something he didn’t — and I didn’t — want done. Instead he plans on trying further drug treatment to address the problem as much as he can.

So that was a wasted 10 hours. It will take about a week for the groin artery to heal enough so I can lift anything above ten pounds, and “bend over, squat or climb stairs.” At least I live in a single-story apartment.

On January 13rd, the other cardiologist (the one both jokingly refer to as the “plumber”) will perform an angioplasty on my legs to evaluate and clear out blockage. He may also have to insert a stent in my left leg.

Meanwhile, Barbara had a corneal transplant on her left eye two weeks ago and is slowly recovering. She says her vision does not seem to be getting back to full strength as quickly as her right eye, but it’s also a stressful time as you might imagine. Her next visit with the eye surgeon is scheduled for the second week of January.

This is not been a good way to close out a very troubling year.

The recent server upgrade, higher rent, medical copays, plus all the other price increases of recent months have seriously drained cash. I’m sure most of you are feeling it.
