Well, he was warned! New NYC mayor Eric Adams gets up close to city's rising crime wave when he sees three men BRAWLING on his first day during a ceremonial tour - and has to call police

Footage posted to social media on Saturday morning showed New York City's new Mayor Eric Adams calling 911 about three men brawling on the street. He was passing through the Kosciuszko J stop in Brooklyn on his way to City Hall when he noticed the men fighting in broad daylight. Adams, 61, then called to report an 'assault in progress,' but by the time police came one of the suspects had already fled the scene. Officers on duty spoke to the other two men, but stayed in their car before driving away. Adams, a 22-year NYPD veteran, said he would have handled the situation differently if he had been the cop on duty, said he would have handled the situation differently if he had been the cop on duty. He now has to deal with a surge in crime as the city's murder rate hits a 10-year high.

US airlines cancel almost 2,500 flights on New Year's Day sparking chaos at airports across the nation and blame bad weather and staff shortages caused by Omicron: FAA warns it will get WORSE

The holiday travel nightmare worsened on New Year's Day with flight cancellations hitting a peak of more than 2,400 nationwide due to poor weather conditions and the impacts of the Omicron variant of COVD-19. By Saturday afternoon, approximately 2,495 flights scheduled to enter, leave or fly within the United States were cancelled and about 5,888 were delayed, according to tracking service FlightAware. That is the highest single-day toll since just before Christmas, when airlines began blaming staffing shortages on increasing coronavirus infections among crews. More than 12,000 domestic flights have been canceled since Dec. 24. In an effort to combat the travel disruptions, airlines say they are taking steps to reduce cancellations. United has offered to pay pilots three times or more of their usual wages for picking up open flights through mid-January. Southwest and others have also raised premium pay for some workers. Despite those efforts, however, many travelers remain trapped and feel frustrated as they try to make it back home.

Go woke, go broke

The biggest news I’ve seen today which hasn't gotten nearly the attention it deserves is when Sen. Joe Manchin told a Fox News reporter that he has had no conversations with the Biden administration since his last interview with Fox News. Take a listen:

MANCHIN:
There's been no conversations after I made my statement. I think it's basically, you know, and I was very clear. I just I feel as strongly today as I did then. I'm really not going to talk about Build Back Better anymore, because I think I've been very clear on that. There are no negotiations going on at this time.

So folks, first of all, good for Sen. Manchin for holding his ground. Second, I told you! The guy is not going to cave. I fully expect him in the next couple of days to tell us all that he intends to save America and kill the bill. I’m just waiting for that.

This high-tax, high-spend, woke monstrosity is going nowhere. And all these phony-baloney political writers who say otherwise are wrong.

Like the Axios report yesterday that breathlessly said Manchin is really negotiating on a child tax credit. Blah, blah, blah. No he's not! That was a Democratic leak. Pure baloney, and Axios should know better than to fall for that stuff. Unless of course, they're pushing their own little "woke," "BBB," big government, socialist agenda. Is that what they want? Really? I thought they were independent journalists.

Anyway, the point I’m making is not only has Joe Manchin been heroic, but he has also loyally represented the voters of West Virginia. Some recent polling shows that west Virginians oppose the big government socialism bill. Nearly two-thirds of them believe the bill would lead to higher costs for gas and groceries. Sen. Manchin's job approval has gone up 7 points to 59 percent, and he's doing the lord’s work!

He offered a deal to Chuck Schumer last summer, and Schumer dissed him. They both signed on the bottom line of a very good memo and then Schumer walked away. Essentially, he lied.

Schumer doesn't want workfare. He hates fossil fuels. He loves high taxes, except when it comes to New York's SALT tax. He loves regulation. He's a leading figure in a socialist state. And he pretty much does whatever congresswoman AOC tells him to do.

Manchin, meanwhile, has not changed his position one iota. And now Schumer thinks he's going to break the filibuster rule with a vote probably next week. But that's going to fail because Manchin and Sinema are against it. And all that pushes another "go woke, go broke" Biden bill vote further out probably into February.

Which means, Joe Biden’s going to have to make the case for his "go woke, go broke" when he addresses Congress and the rest of the country in his State of the Union address in late January.

That means his already sinking popularity is going to sink even more. By the time we hit Valentine's Day, Biden’s approval may be in the mid-20s. About the same as the temperature outside. And triple-B still won't pass.

Because the people of West Virginia are not going to change their mind. Good, hard working, traditional conservative values folks that they are. I love deplorables! I love Manchin! And I still like this whole story. That's right. Save America. Kill the bill.

Democratic congressman Eric Swalwell follows AOC's lead by going maskless in mandate-free Florida, days after blaming Republicans for 'canceled vacations' and going back to wearing 'masks everywhere'

Democratic congressman Eric Swalwell was seen going maskless at a posh Florida hotel, just days after lashing out at Republicans for spoiling his fun and 'prolonging' the coronavirus pandemic. The California Democrat has accused conservatives of being behind the latest wave of covid cases and blamed them for 'canceled vacations' and having to go back to wearing 'masks everywhere,' in a furious tweet last week. But it seems Swalwell, himself, however, was able to go ahead with his holiday travel plans and ditch his mask just days later, when he was spotted hanging out at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, in mask-and mandate-free Florida. The 41-year-old, who represents parts of the San Francisco Bay Area, is seen in exclusive DailyMail.com photos chatting with a female friend at the hotel lobby with his infant son on Tuesday. Swalwell appeared dressed for the warm Miami weather, sporting a blush-colored polo, shorts, and boat shoes.

Reckless, appalling - an insult is too mild a word': Survivors and families of 9/11 victims voice utter fury at Kamala Harris for comparing Capitol riot to the Al Qaeda terror attacks

Survivors of the September 11 terror attacks and the families of those who died have slammed Vice President Kamala Harris's comparison of the worst attack on US soil to the Capitol riot as 'reckless' and 'appalling.' 2,977 people were killed, and more than 6,000 others were injured. Widows of the victims called her 'out of touch' and 'reckless'. Families say they are tired of their tragedy being used for political gain by politicians. Mary Geraghty, 61, whose husband New York City Fire Department Battalion Chief Edward Geraghty (pictured, right) died on 9/11, told DailyMail.com she was almost too upset by the comparison to comment. 'I'm still speechless that our vice president would make that comment,' she said. 'There were terrorists that came onto American soil and slaughtered American citizens. There is absolutely no comparison. Insult is too mild a word.'

The Capitol riot was shameful but American democracy was never going to be toppled by a guy in face-paint and Viking horns and everybody - except for the demented, dishonest Democrat party - knows it

January 6th 2021, was a horrible day in our history - a tragic, heart-breaking, insane, and yes, historically-paradigm shifting day for all of us. At the same time, January 6th is not 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. It is not a day that was an act of war. It was not a terrorist attack that resulted in the deaths of thousands of Americans. I was absolutely disgusted that Vice President Harris would make such an intellectually dishonest comparison to our nation's history. The truth is that American democracy is strong. It proved it once again during the Trump years, whenever he tested the guardrails of the Constitution. America is far too strong to be toppled by a guy wearing face paint in Viking horns, who the police should have stopped before he got into the Capitol in the first place. Politicians and media pundits who say otherwise think you'll settle for the propaganda, and that you're too stupid to realize the truth. And most Americans know it.

This is extremely divisive language and extremely arrogant to use this comparison, a President should never use such a comparison...When you think this President can sink no lower, he says utter garbage like this further dividing this country...The Constitution makes it clear that the individual States regulate voting in this country, not the federal government...

Biden says those who oppose Democrat voting rights bill are on the side of Jefferson Davis

President Biden Tuesday said lawmakers who oppose the Democratic-led effort to overhaul how the country conducts elections are choosing to be on the side of historical villains such as Confederate President Jefferson Davis.

Biden, in an unusually vitriolic speech by a president who casts himself as uniting the nation and healing its wounds, suggested Republicans who oppose Democrat-backed election changes stood in opposition to democracy itself.

"So I ask every elected official in America, how do you want to be remembered?" Biden said during remarks from the Atlanta University Center Consortium, on the campus of Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College. "Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?"

Biden's remarks come as the president and Vice President Kamala Harris began an effort to push through the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, two Democratic-led pieces of legislation aimed at overhauling the U.S. election system.

Ironically, I think Biden would do alot better and be more popular if he decided to just be a mainstream/keep the status quo at all costs politician and try not to make waves. You know, like what Trump accused him and others of doing.
