Nutty economic gamble. The board may have to remove her in a year or two.

We received a flyer in the mail yesterday. I just caught the printing on the top. It said “Hollywood Liberal.” I asked my wife what it was all about. She said it referred to Dr. Oz, the TV doctor. Dr. Oz is attempting to run for the vacant Senate seat in Pennsylvania. Now the good doctor is portraying himself as a Trump acolyte. His opponents are calling him a liberal.

This is why I despise politicians. The true knock on Oz is that he isn’t even a citizen of PA. His in-laws live here. I guess that is good enough for Oz. He even states he will give up his dual citizenship with Turkey “if” he gets elected. How generous of him. Most people I know consider him to be a joke. I guess we will see if he wins the Republican nomination.

Dr. Michelle Morse, the first medical officer at the NYC Department of Health sparked outrage for a series of tweets where she referred to whites as 'birthing people' and blacks and Hispanics as 'moms' 'Mortality rates of birthing people are too high, and babies born to Black and Puerto Rican mothers in this city are three times more likely to die in their first year of life than babies born to non-Hispanic White birthing people,' she tweeted. Morse was accused of being divisive and separating mothers due to their race, with white mothers falling into the 'birthing people' category.

Radio host gets FIRED after woke mob complained about her tweet joking that Kamala Harris' brown suit looked like UPS uniform

Amber Athey, a co-presenter on conservative newstalk station WMAL tweeted about Kamala Harris wearing a brown suit during the SOTU and deemed 'racist'. 'Kamala looks like a UPS employee - what can brown do for you? Nothing good, apparently,' Athey wrote in the March 1 tweet using an old UPS tagline. Although there was no initial fallout, after the conservative journalist spoke out against 'trans kids' she was targeted by 'maniacal left-wing activists. They wrote to her bosses both at WMAL and The Spectator Magazine. WMAL fired her without giving Athey a chance to defend herself. The Spectator laughed off the attacked by the 'woke mob' and Athey now has a cover story in this week's magazine as she tells about what happened.

California city to give universal income to transgender, nonbinary residents regardless of earnings

A California city is planning to give universal basic income (UBI) to transgender and nonbinary residents regardless of their earnings level.

Transgender residents in Palm Springs, California are eligible to receive a UBI of up to $900 per month solely for identifying as transgender or nonbinary — no strings attached. The new pilot program will have $200,000 set aside for allocation after a unanimous vote by the Palm Springs City Council last week.

Former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio, a Republican who served as the first openly gay member of the city council, called the program outrageous and discriminatory. "We're completely opposed to guaranteed or universal basic income programs, because they ultimately cause inflation and raise the cost of living on everyone — they don't work," DeMaio said in a statement.

"But at least some of them have minimum income requirements to qualify, whereas this one is no-strings-attached 'woke' virtue signaling to the LGBT community in a way that is not only offensive but discriminatory," he continued.

Twenty transgender and nonbinary Palm Springs residents will receive the free money funded by the taxpayers for 18 months, with advocacy-based health center DAP Health and LGBT advocacy group Queer Works managing the program.

New Revelations Raise Pressure on NASA to Rename the James Webb Space Telescope

Sadness. Disappointment. Frustration. Anger. These are some of the reactions from LGBTQ+ astronomers over the latest revelations regarding NASA’s decision not to rename the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), given that the agency long had evidence suggesting its Apollo-era administrator James Webb was involved in the persecution of gay and lesbian federal employees during the 1950s and 1960s.

The new information came to light late last month when nearly 400 pages of e-mails were posted online by the journal Nature, which obtained the exchanges under a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Since early last year, four researchers have been leading the charge for NASA to alter the name of the $10-billion flagship mission, launched in December 2021, which will provide unparalleled views of the universe. The e-mails make clear that, behind the scenes, NASA was well aware of Webb’s problematic legacy even as the agency’s leadership declined to take his name off the project.

“Reading through the exchanges, it seems that LGBTQ+ scientists and the concern we raised are not really what they care about,” says Yao-Yuan Mao of Rutgers University, who maintains the online Astronomy and Astrophysics Outlist of openly LGBTQ+ researchers.

“It’s almost amusing how incompetent the whole thing was,” says Scott Gaudi, an astronomer at the Ohio State University, “and how little they stopped to think of how important an issue this was to the queer astronomical community and how important NASA is for young queer kids trying to find aspirational reasons to just keep going.”

As the successor to the renowned Hubble Space Telescope, JWST’s name is likely to one day be known by schoolchildren, suburban parents and senior citizens alike, which is why LGBTQ+ astronomers feel so strongly that the observatory’s namesake should not be someone who was allegedly involved in homophobic directives. Many of them see NASA’s resistance to renaming JWST as part of a dismaying trend in which the agency’s actions speak louder than—and counter to—its stated policy of fostering diversity and inclusion throughout its workforce. Last month, for example, NASA officials scrambled to explain their abrupt cancellation of an initiative to allow employees of its Goddard Space Flight Center to more easily display personal pronouns in intra-agency communications.

During a March 30 meeting of NASA’s Astrophysics Advisory Committee, officials said that the agency’s investigation into Webb’s potential involvement with LGBTQ+ persecution is still ongoing and that they expect to present a final report in the coming months. “I’m looking for additional evidence that may conflict with the understanding we currently have of Webb’s role in this,” said NASA’s acting chief historian Brian Odom. At the same meeting, the agency’s director of astrophysics Paul Hertz even offered some contrition, acknowledging that “the decision NASA made is painful to some, and it seems wrong to many of us.”

To repair its damaged reputation with the LGBTQ+ community, some astronomers say, the agency should now bow to mounting pressure and strike Webb’s name from its flagship telescope.

Renaming JWST would be “a simple but very impactful thing that NASA can do, both for astronomers and the wider public,” says Johanna Teske, an astronomer at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C. “Why would they not take the opportunity to do that and fulfill one of their core values?”

Leaked: New Amazon Worker Chat App Would Ban Words Like “Union,” “Restrooms,” “Pay Raise,” and “Plantation”

Also: “Grievance,” “slave labor,” “This is dumb,” “living wage,” “diversity,” “vaccine,” and others.

AMAZON WILL BLOCK and flag employee posts on a planned internal messaging app that contain keywords pertaining to labor unions, according to internal company documents reviewed by The Intercept. An automatic word monitor would also block a variety of terms that could represent potential critiques of Amazon’s working conditions, like “slave labor,” “prison,” and “plantation,” as well as “restrooms” — presumably related to reports of Amazon employees relieving themselves in bottles to meet punishing quotas.

“Our teams are always thinking about new ways to help employees engage with each other,” said Amazon spokesperson Barbara M. Agrait. “This particular program has not been approved yet and may change significantly or even never launch at all.”

In November 2021, Amazon convened a high-level meeting in which top executives discussed plans to create an internal social media program that would let employees recognize co-workers’ performance with posts called “Shout-Outs,” according to a source with direct knowledge.

The major goal of the program, Amazon’s head of worldwide consumer business, Dave Clark, said, was to reduce employee attrition by fostering happiness among workers — and also productivity. Shout-Outs would be part of a gamified rewards system in which employees are awarded virtual stars and badges for activities that “add direct business value,” documents state. At the meeting, Clark remarked that “some people are insane star collectors.”

But company officials also warned of what they called “the dark side of social media” and decided to actively monitor posts in order to ensure a “positive community.” At the meeting, Clark suggested that the program should resemble an online dating app like Bumble, which allows individuals to engage one on one, rather than a more forum-like platform like Facebook.

Following the meeting, an “auto bad word monitor” was devised, constituting a blacklist that would flag and automatically block employees from sending a message that contains any profane or inappropriate keywords. In addition to profanities, however, the terms include many relevant to organized labor, including “union,” “grievance,” “pay raise,” and “compensation.” Other banned keywords include terms like “ethics,” “unfair,” “slave,” “master,” “freedom,” “diversity,” “injustice,” and “fairness.” Even some phrases like “This is concerning” will be banned.

A pilot program is slated to launch later this month. In addition to slurs and swear words, the planned list includes the following words:

I hate
Union
Fire
Terminated
Compensation
Pay Raise
Bullying
Harassment
I don’t care
Rude
This is concerning
Stupid
This is dumb
Prison
Threat
Petition

New Jersey parents are outraged by plan for first-graders to be given sex education lessons dubbed 'Pink, Blue and Purple' on gender identity while second-graders will learn you can 'have boy parts but feel like a girl'

First-graders in New Jersey will be learning about gender identity in new sex education curriculum which includes a lesson that teaches the children that they can have 'boy parts' but 'feel like' a girl. The new lessons, which are part of a broader, K-12 health and sex education curriculum adopted by the New Jersey Board of Education, are alarming some parents. One of the 30-minute lesson plans, called ' Pink, Blue and Purple ' teaches the students to define 'gender, gender identity and gender role stereotypes,' Fox News reported. Another lesson plan, this one for second graders, called ' Understanding Our Bodies ,' tells teachers to instruct students that 'being a boy or a girl doesn't have to mean you have those parts, there are some body parts that mostly just girls have and some parts that mostly just boys have.' The new state sex education guidelines, which go into effect in September, were handed out to parents at the Westfield Board of Education meeting in February, and included instructions for teachers to tell students that their gender identity is up to them.

Western civilisation and all its astonishing achievements in culture, science, medicine and free thinking are being ERASED from history as the product of 'dead white males'

(Excerpt)

Here was just one example of the cultural war going on in our country, a remorseless assault on everything to do with the Western world, past, present and future. Those waging it rail against all the roots of that tradition and everything good it has produced.

They constantly make one-sided arguments and level unfair claims. They corrupt the language of ideas with the result that words no longer mean what they once did.

They talk of ‘equality’ but do not care about equal rights. They talk of ‘anti-racism’ but sound deeply racist. They speak of ‘justice’ but seem to mean ‘revenge’.

In a demented discourse of their own invention, they have pulled us into a zero-sum discussion that insists the history of the West is a history of patriarchal oppression, sexism, racism, transphobia, homophobia, larceny and much more. They try to lock us into a cycle of unending punishment, with no serious effort at (or even consideration for) its alleviation.

An unfair ledger has been created, one in which the West is treated by one set of standards and the rest of the world by another. A ledger in which it seems that the West can do no right and the rest of the world can do no wrong. Or do wrong only because we in the West made them do it.

Michelle Obama's brother and his wife sue $24,000-a-year Milwaukee school for kicking their nine and 11-year-old 'model' students out when they complained that virtual lessons 'used racist stereotypes and word plantation'

The brother and sister-in-law of former first lady Michelle Obama are suing the University School of Milwaukee, alleging that the private school kicked their sons out after they complained of racist bias being used during virtual learning. Craig and Kelly Robinson filed a lawsuit against the Pre-K-12 school this week. The complaint alleges that the school retaliated against their family after they submitted reports in January and March 2021 about concerns about racial and socio-economic bias at the school. The parents had conversations with the school but were shocked when the school dismissed their children.
