Finally!!!

Boondock Saints 3 With Original Stars Happening, Filming Starts May 2022

The Boondock Saints III with original stars Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery, and Billy Connolly is happening, with filming starting in May 2022.

The Boondock Saints III has been greenlit with original stars returning and filming to begin in May 2022. The Boondock Saints was released in 1999 and follows fraternal twin Irish brothers Connor and Murphy MacManus, who go on a vigilante killing spree to rid their hometown of criminals, all in the name of God. Starring The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery as the two brothers, the film also starred Willem Dafoe as a cop on their trail and Billy Connolly as their partner in crime.

Written and directed by Troy Duffy, a sequel was made in 2009, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, which also starred Reedus, Flanery, and Connolly, as well as Julie Benz and Clifton Collins Jr. Both films were box office disappointments, but garnered a tremendous fan following, making The Boondock Saints franchise a major cult hit and prompting the call for the continued adventures of the MacManus brothers. A Boondock Saints TV show was rumored for a while and numerous issues between the cast and Duffy stalled progress, but apparently that's all about to change.

Watching Dick Tracy (1990) on Tubi. It's gorgeous! It resembles a comic strip more closely than anything else I've seen. Star studded cast, to boot.

OK, so there are no more movies about real people. Everybody is just choosing his own fantasy. We are definitelly in a long recession.

Interesting.

This looks like a good one from 1996, The Ghost and The Darkness...I haven't seen this movie before...

Still fascinated by WWII. Will start Is Paris Burning? tonight. Haven't seen it since I was a kid, but I liked it then, and expect to like it again (even though B&W).

I'm hesitant to refer to this as a classic as I was already an adult when it came out! Nonetheless I have already seen and enjoyed the 2019 film. Since I am still interested in the battle, I will now watch the earlier 1976 movie with the impressive cast comprised of Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, James Coburn, Glenn Ford, Ed Nelson, Hal Holbrook, Toshiro Mifune, Robert Mitchum, Cliff Robertson and Robert Wagner. Tom Selleck and Eric Estrada even have roles.

The professor teaching the King Arthur course heaped praise on Excalibur (1981) and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Maybe I'll eventually view the latter, but Excalibur is next up for my King Arthur viewing.

I'm sure I'll resume watching Excalibur at some point. Anyway, the June 24, 2022 episode of the History Channel's The UnXplained is devoted to the possible historical kernel of the King Arthur legend. It is free with almost any cable package in the US.
