Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness felt like I was watching a comic book movie and I liked that...There's 2 things I really liked in the movie and 2 things that I didn't get why they did that, but explaining any of these would give away spoilers so I'll wait to discuss later...

I've begun watching the Blade trilogy again, it's been a long time since I've watched these movies...

...

Interestingly enough I thought I had previously seen the 3rd Blade movie however upon watching it recently I can't recall seeing it...Anyway, I thought it was pretty good, I liked the first movie the best of the three...The finale fight with Dracula came up short IMO, as powerful as Dracula was boasted to be he didnt show it in the fight and he stayed in human form for too much of the finale...Anyway, Blade is a good movie series to watch, definitely entertaining...

Last night I watched a movie called Dark Light (2019), not too bad, a horror movie which I don't watch all that often, but it was entertaining...

It was alright, kind of fell flat for a bit half way through but picked up some in the end, and that ending left off too soon IMO, who shot that arrow?...

I watched The Northman the other day: The Northman (2022) - IMDb
It was good! It tried to stay more true to Viking material culture and magical practices while still adding some theatrical flair. Life in Norse medieval life was brutal; full of schadenfreude, violence, and vengeance. Fun! :-/
I wish movies like Troy would have been more accurate ; if the armour was accurately portrayed in Troy, it would have been spectacular ---but the art department gets ahold of things and accuracy goes off the rails most of the time, and everyone ends up looking like Spinal Tap.

For great Viking information and to hear old Norse:

Yes. I just put my post all-in-one.

I really am enjoying the Loki series. Have you seen any of them? I think there are 2 more episodes to go.

No, I think it's one of the worst series Marvel has made and it trashes all the major movies that came before it...DC comics are putting out some better quality shows than Marvel is now, so I'm favouring DC comics for the time being...

This is nice, seeing all the roles some particular actors have played in various Star Trek series throughout the years...

Watched this last night [because i'm a big baby that loves these epic kids films. lol] ... and to be frank, I probably wish that I hadn't! ... Being a big Harry Potter fan I was delighted when I found that there were going to be more of the 'Potterverse' for us to watch on film , and couldn't wait. And then in 2016 [can you believe that it's been 6 years?] I watched the first instalment 'Where To Find Them' as soon as I could. ... Thought it was a little underwhelming but suspected that it would warm up as the sequels came. ... And then two years later , again I jumped on the first opportunity to watch 'The Crimes Of Grindelwald' and again was equally, if not even more underwhelmed . And then even after being forced to wait twice as long for this instalment 'The Secrets Of Dumbledore' ... the over-all feelings that i'm left with is 'even more Underwhelmed' and pretty much pissed-off that even in this 'big-kids-fantasy-film' they felt the need to succumb to the all-powerful Woke-mob and reveal that no other than the titular Dumbledore and the villainous Grindelwald are actually lovers! ... I had heard the rumours of such things sometime before, but didn't actually believe that it would make it into the film! ... but I should have known better!! A weakness in myself?... yep! more than likely, but I am what I am. [it's not just a gay anthem you know! lol] And to someone like me, this woke political agenda thing should not be shoehorned into the couple of hours of escapism that I tuned in for! ... Having said that... it would still have been a let down even without all of that gay-progressivism forced upon the viewer.

4/10.

Cheers.

I saw it too. I liked it.
I found myself looking up various persons, battles, and things from the movie on Wikipedia.
I'm glad to see that I liked the 2019 film. As I'm still interested in the battle, I'm about to watch the 1976 film.

I watched I, Frankenstein (2014) for the second time last night. Fell asleep watching it though lol, not because it's a boring movie but I was very tired from work...I like this movie, it could have been a little better but overall it's a cool story involving Frankenstein...

The 1976 Midway film contains many true elements, but also an entire dramatic, fictional subplot.
Several fictional characters were inserted to go along with a romantic story involving a main character's son and a Japanese-American girl who was arrested along with her family. The particulars as depicted never happened in real life.
By contrast, the 2019 film mostly eschews dramatic license, though there were some special effects exaggerations:

The screenplay for the film was written by Navy veteran Wes Tooke. Each scene of the Midway movie was carefully reviewed to make sure it was historically accurate. "Despite some of the 'Hollywood' aspects, this is still the most realistic movie about naval combat ever made," commented retired Navy Rear Adm. Sam Cox, who oversaw the fact-checking. "It does real credit to the courage and sacrifice of those who fought in the battle on both sides."
How Accurate is Midway? Movie vs True Story of the Battle of Midway

Be that as I may, so far I like both movies. Historical accuracy is terrific, but it's not mandatory.
