The Orville - 8/10.

Character driven and funny. The humor isn't over the top but well balanced with the story line in each episode. Very reminiscent of Voyager. It takes the familiar world of Star Trek and populates it with coworkers you would find in our era. More realistic ironically and less militaristic than Star Trek. A fun and enjoyable series.

The first episode is very well done, not what I expected for this first episode of season 3, since its been so long between seasons...However the story is a good one and has a good mix of space action lol...I'll begin watching episode two very soon...

I liked episode 2 the best of the three new ones, I think it also sets the stage for future episodes...Its nice to see The Orville back, the special effects are much improved too btw...

Yeah, episode 4 is awesome, going to watch it again tonight as a matter of fact lol...I think the weakest episode thus far in this season is episode 3...It was good but there's been some better ones like episodes 2 and 4...

Just watched episode 5, another hit, good interpersonal stories that to me had a Star Trek Voyager feel to it...

Also I'm glad to see
the Doctor and Issac are back together again, Yay! Lol...At least it appears they are in a relationship again...

I don't want to spoil it but one of the highlights of this episode is something that the Doctor (Claire) asks Isaac to do and those few minutes they have together after he does what she's asks is a wonderful moment, fleeting, but wonderful...

At today’s San Diego Comic-Con panel for The Orville: New Horizons, the show’s Emmy award-winning actor, writer, director and producer Seth MacFarlane announced that all three seasons of the Emmy-nominated, fan favorite sci-fi series will be available to stream on Disney+ starting on August 10. The epic space adventure series will also continue to stream on Hulu.

As for a Season 4, as of April there were no plans afoot. Deadline reported that the cast of the series was released in August when their most recent options expired.

Season 3 is not designed as a definitive ending to the series. The door has been left open for MacFarlane to revisit it with a new installment if/when he wants to do so in the future. In case he decides to do it, the cast will have to be reassembled, and new deals need to be made.
