Scientists working at the geophysical department of the Russian Academy of Science in north-eastern Russia's Kamchatka Krai region have confirmed the giant eruption took place at the site of the Shiveluch Volcano yesterday over a 20 minute period and saw the volcano spew ash 10 kilometres (6 miles) into the sky.

Experts have raised the alert after the volcano flung hot ash into the air for the first time since February 2016.

It is not believed any locals or villages surrounding the eruption were affected.

Lyrics to Volcano. :)
Now I don't know
I don't know
I don't know where I'm a gonna go
When the volcano blow
Let me say now I don't know
I don't know
I don't know where I'm a gonna go
When the volcano blow
Ground she's movin' under me
Tidal waves out on the sea
Sulfur smoke up in the sky
Pretty soon we learn to fly
Let me hear ya now I don't know
I don't know
I don't know where I'm a gonna go
When the volcano blow
Now my girl quickly say to me
Mon you better watch your feet
Lava come down soft and hot
You better lava me now or lava me not
Let me say now I don't know
I don't know
I don't know where I'm a gonna go
When the volcano blow
No time to count what I'm worth
'Cause I just left the planet earth
Where I go I hope there's rum
Not to worry soon come

Its actually when it erupts....which will happen in the near geologic future.

Could happen tomorrow. But since nobody in this lifetime or the past 100 lifetimes has seen an eruption of a super volcano it's hard to tell just what kind of eruption it will have. If it's anything like the first super eruption, were all doomed. But if it's anything like it's last eruption we may have a fighting chance.

Australia will have to worry about Yellowstone. All of the world will have to worry about Yellowstone if a super eruption occurs. The cloud of super heated gas may not reach Australia, but they will have to deal with the volcanic winter that Yellowstone will cause worldwide in the event of a super eruption.

I'm pretty sure it won't be tomorrow or even in 2018.....but in the next 50,000 years I'd say is quite likely.

Yes Australia will have to contend with the affects of Yellowstone.....but the super volcanoes in Indonesia are something they would be more affected by.
