Yes swim before you can walk (on land). Tadpoles to frogs is an excellent example.

Its funny, before I got my head around it, I thought evolution meant that things adapted in some purposeful way to a new environment. But its not really like that is it. Natural selection where random genetic changes accidentally create a more adapted species. And the less adapted eventually die off. Well that make a lot more sense.

Cave spiders over time due to light deprivation have no eyes , now if that was reversed and they were put back into the light would they eventually grow their eyes back or not ?

I would hazard to say yes they would grow eyes back, if they were albino because of living in darkness I would think they eventually would get some pigment back in their skins, maybe future generations would...

If there is an intelligent underground species that came out into the surface, many would probably die, some would survive and future generations would adapt better and better...

Evolution I think must have been created as for those who think along the lines of the infinite constant as 1 and not O are confirming manifestation from O to 1 by pure magic. People shifting the starting line doesn't mean it never began.

I did learn of size being key to our success after then impact event. Herbivores first followed by those on which they fed, in order of size from big to small until the largest left carnivore died out, leaving small mammals in the ring without the usual worries. No Yucatan slammer then I think we could still be heading in the same direction but look completely different. Bird man.

Well, he is close....

Origin of Dolphins. It is generally believed that all marine mammals evolved from land based ancestors around 50-60 million years ago. ... The closest living relatives of dolphins today are the even toed ungulates such as camels and cows with the humble hippopotamus being the closest living relative.
