I hope it's something more pronounced than some mere speculation...

The alien-hunting Kepler telescope has discovered something big:

"NASA has called a press conference to reveal a breakthrough discovery from its alien-hunting Kepler telescope. The discovery was driven by Google’s machine-learning artificial intelligence software. The announcement will be live-streamed on NASA’s website, according to a press release. It will take place Thursday, December 14 at 1 p.m. EST. Kepler’s missions The Kepler telescope—which launched in 2009—has discovered thousands of planets outside of our solar system. “Thanks to Kepler’s treasure trove of discoveries, astronomers now believe there may be at least one planet orbiting every star in the sky,” the press release states. Kepler’s original mission was completed in 2012. It confirmed the ........

Maybe they are going to announce the location of the planet from where that probe came from...:ohmy8:

Now wouldn't that be something . I would love exciting news like that . But sadly my Nasa radar does not detect that happening anytime soon, even if they did know that they wouldn't tell us because of the upper echelon departments that control Nasa media releases.

NASA uses AI to find the first star other than our own sun that has eight planets orbiting it in breakthrough in search for alien life

  • NASA has discovered an eighth planet around a distant star system, tying with our own for the first time
  • The system, Kepler 90, was previously tied with Trappist-1 for number of planets around the star
  • The latest find was made using artificial intelligence from Google, which will help find habitable planets
  • The satellite has been searching the stars for distant worlds since 2014, and has so far found thousands

Well I thought it was a significant announcement although probably within 20 years or so we will find there are many solar systems with similar planet counts...
