Haunted Dolls

Before I ever brought anything like that into a place where I was living, I would probably consult someone who would be able to know it's origins and what dangers it could present by even touching it. Sometimes an items energy in itself is enough to cause damage without activating anything

Yes I think that's very important. Your dealing with an unknown and while some people scoff at things like this I feel there is always a risk . I have a photograph here of a young girl taken in 1914 I showed it to a lady who reads fortunes and is a medium so she says well I showed her this photo one day and she told me to take it away and refused to look at it ? How odd. I feel sometimes though that the girl is watching me her eyes seem to follow you where ever you go in the room and I have had other people visiting me say the same thing about her ,without me saying anything to them. Your last sentence is worth noting I never got to touch these dolls I saw but think I would not be so inclined to do so given the chance but then if I bought her I would have to touch her unless I got her put in a glass box first ?

Yes, I know people who don't acknowledge things like that or don't respect them, but regardless I believe that's something you have got to be very careful with. There is always a risk. The fact the lady told you to take the picture away must mean there was something very devious about it... would you be able to post a picture of it on here?

You could get her put in a package or glass box before bringing her home, yes. That would be one way to prevent any direct transfer of energy or whatever it may be. Like I said, it could all be for nothing, but that isn't a risk I would take lightly.

Well with that photo of that girl I am not sure what to think about it after she did that . I ended up with it so was I meant to have it ? I showed it once on AU but never got very far with it discussion wise. I will see if I can post it and you can give me your thoughts on it may take a little while its hard to photograph in its glass frame. Definitely get the shop lady to wrap her up.

This is the best I could do with my crumby phone cam I had to take her out of the frame due to glass reflections. The photo was taken in 1914 in France I have no idea who the girl is. Picture is way clearer than my photos of it. There is a story behind how I came to end up with it if you want to hear it ?

That is a really interesting picture, especially originating from 1914. France, too. I would like to hear the story when you have time :)

Ok the story on this photo was an American photo collector was in the UK on a holiday he was going to the different local markets over there looking for old photos of interest. He told me he had come to this table where there was a wooden box full of old photos. He pulled all of them out to have a look and in the bottom of the box was some newspaper , he lifted the old newspaper up and underneath he found a photo that was totally black with grime and dirt. He being curious about it asked the seller how much he wanted for it with the other photos he had chosen from the box and the seller said he could have it as it was 'pretty much knackered' as he put it. The collector put it with the other photos and stuck it in his bag. He eventually went home to US a few weeks later he got back to this black grimy photo trying to figure out how to clean the photo without damaging it. He practiced a technique he had developed using water and another cleaning agent and had a few practice runs on other old dirty photos. He then tried it on the really bad one he had brought back from the UK. He was totally amazed to see the image that greeted him after all the years it must have sat in that box for a long long time but now it was perfectly restored it looked like it had just been developed , the girl had lain hidden from view under the newspaper but now was in pristine condition. Its the photo I have the one I showed you. I bought it off him. So all the way from the UK in the bottom of a dirty old box via America then on to me where she now sits in her frame. Amazing.

I have to say, that's a long way for it to travel to end up with you now... not even considering where it could have been before that point, or with whom. And then it begs to be asked: who is it in the photo? Having things like that just amaze me, even if you don't get the answers that you want, you know you have something genuinely special there. That's really amazing.

Yes it was . I wonder sometimes how long it sat in that box maybe since back then in 1914 its amazing what people have in the bottom of old drawers ect. Who is she indeed , no one will ever know. I did try and do a trace on it but no luck even the postcard industry that existed back then collapsed after WW2 and no one knows anything about the people who produced them or the people that were in the postcards no way of knowing as everyone to do with it all , even my photo would be dead now. It was a three person thing the photo stall seller , the photo collector who could have thrown her out but restored her and then to me. She is special , she has sort of been adopted, her memory will live on I am sure she may have liked that.

Wondering with that kind of thing usually only leads to a longer list of questions though. It's just disappointing you won't (as of right now) be able to know or share her story, but you are doing whomever it is in that picture a great thing by cherishing it.

Here's a creepy doll I never heard of until today...Does this doll may have influence over some people?...

Can You 'Feel' This 'Haunted' Doll?

A paranormal research group in England believes that they may have acquired a haunted doll and have turned to public for help in 'hearing' her story.

The eerie figurine was purchased by an organization known as North Cornwall Paranormal, who promptly posted a picture of the doll on their Facebook page.

Accompanying the image was a rather intriguing 'call to action' for "psychics, sensitives, and mediums" who may be among the 15,000 members of their social media circle.

The unorthodox bit of crowd sourcing is asking for any names, emotions, or general feelings which may arise when these sensitive individuals look at the purportedly possessed doll. Remarkably, a number of their online followers noted feeling uneasy about the object as if it was giving off a sinister vibe.

Whether that's just because it's a creepy-looking doll or there is a genuine dark force attached to the toy is a matter of conjecture. In the spirit of the group's experiment, let us know what you 'feel' from the doll at the Coast to Coast AM Facebook page.

As Above So Below
One notorious haunted doll is called Peggy, which is owned by paranormal investigator Jayne Harris and is said to cause nausea, headaches, hallucinations, and even heart attacks.

The thing is, it can supposedly have these effects even when simply watched over sites like YouTube. Scores of people who have watched the videos made of Peggy the doll have reported feeling all manner of unsettling symptoms, to the point that most can not even stand to make it to the end of the clips.

Is this haunted dolls malevolent force somehow reaching out even through our computer screens to grab at us?
