Would you like to make contact with an alien race? Why?

If you are on this forum you probably have interest in UFOs and supposed UFO and alien sightings - And cases
of alleged alien communication and/or abductions.

Some of us may even believe we have already made contact with aliens - But when pressed might admit that
they may have been a figment of our imagination - Incidents of this sort you must answer for yourself.

But here is a question you can answer for all - Why would you want to communicate with an alien {not of the
paradigm of the species of biological beings of the Planet Earth} species - Why would you like to communicate
with these beings? - Would you think they might give you some type of enlightening experience?

Or might you fear they would just use you - Like the supposed alien abductees who claim to have been
taken by mind control techniques and then probed and/or experimented upon?

How do you feel about alien contact?

For the sake of being interesting, please answer as though I represent a hypothetical alien species that wants to know if it is time for us to make
overt contact with Humanity?

I wouldn't go out of my way to contact any aliens, although through various travels and spiritual experiences it happens...If we were advanced enough to travel to other planets rather quickly then that would be a different thing and then I would encourage us to visit our neighboring stars and systems so we know who's living on our block so to speak...

Nope, no physical alien can show me anything enlightening and I do not expect it and if that is offered openly from an alien I would be highly suspicious of it...

I get your point Kchoo and agree thats a sensible attitude toward unknown Aliens.. But this planet is rapidly speeding towards
a state of " God help us all " And since God is nowhere to be found at present. Not really sure benevolent Aliens could screw things up any worse as it is..

Our pesky diseases and virus's may keep them away. Humans have paid in billions of lives to develop immunity to our sicknesses the Aliens would not have the benefit of that. It may be the smallest of things on this planet that would doom the Alien interlopers.

Absoloutly not. A species that travels possibly thousands of light years to get here probably wouldn't be here to make friends. And the United States military wouldn't be able to do shit if they decided they wanted to attack. If they can travel thousands of light years to get here you best believe they have an "oh shit" button in case we are hostile, and we would be. Some idiot would shoot at them and we would all die and there would be nothing we can do about that. This isn't the movies. Will Smith won't save us.

Aliens cannot go back in time and affect our lives at all, if they go back in our timeline as soon as they make any kind of contact it will become a parallel world and go off on its own timeline...Essentially they would be making a copy and would have their way with our copies...

Or just say peace the fuck out and continue to watch us all destroy ourselves. That is the fate of humankind. We can't get along with one other. Why the hell would they bother with us? We are still to concerned with the color of each others skin, or who's God is cooler then the other for fucks sake.

The concern could be academic - They just want to know what makes other life forms tick. We do it all the time
with our science.

It has been said, and I agree, that some of the UFO/alien phenomena is real;

And that they avoid direct face to face or mind to mind contact for some very simple reasons.

One obvious one that most Humans don't want to accept is that their minds are so far advanced that intelligent
and meaningful interaction with Humans would still not be possible.

Maybe in the future..........?

I keep thinking that newly developed quantum computers may open the door.

Yes we are warlike creatures aren't we. I mean we don't like each other let alone some creepy looking Alien stepping out of his spacecraft saying " Hi we come in peace" . Fat lot of good that will do them huh. Drop a red bullant into a jar with a black bullant and they will fight each other to the death but then drop a spider into the jar and both the ants will attack it. An Alien landing on Earth will have the same effect as the spider in the jar.

I enjoy studying Ufology and believe in the phenomenon, but I don't seek alien contact. I am 39 years old, and I figure if the aliens wanted to contact me specifically (as they did with Kchoo) they would have done so already. I sure as hell don't want to be a random abductee. Life invariably just gets worse for you when that happens. Would it be cool to see a craft and/or some aliens? You bet, but I'm not going to go looking for them lest I should become the science project of the day.

I asked "Would You Like to Make Contact with an Alien Race?' - Of course that is based upon the assumption that you
have a choice.

If 'they' want to do it their way - it is 'possible' that First Contact would be to find 'they' have already taken complete
control of the planet Earth and all it inhabitants.

Yes, I know you say that is pure science fiction speculation - But tell me for sure it can't happen
- It would not be a war like 'Independence Day - No, they would do it through subterfuge - Say by slowly but surely
taking complete control of the internet through advanced AI programing - And you thought you only had to
worry about Bill Gates and the Microsoft Corporation - Maybe they already have control of it and us ?
