Just got robbed today. It was my family's negligence that caused it. My brother left a empty laptop bag behind the car and my mother hide her handbag under the front seat, inside the handbag was a smartphone, bank book and glasses. They broke the car's door lock and both bag and handbag was stolen. Luckly they didn't hot wire and take car..

I've seen worst then this before, when I was working in another states, in KL. It felt like a war zone, I've seen people getting snatched with my own eyes many times, vehicle parts been stolen and etc.. Myself stayed there alone, always being watched, surrounded with people with some kind of intention, I always hide a knife in my pants for self protection..

Here are some of the pictures i took in the train station. These motorbikes belongs to some university students, they stole the tyres..

Seeing as the world is slowly turning muslim, we may as well deal with thieves in the same manner. First offense their dominant hand, second offense their remaining hand, third offense stoned to death. Thieves are pathetic and should be Darwin'd out of the species. Sorry to hear you got robbed.

I dont think religion is the caused of this. Imo i think it might be the cost of living in KL that caused it.

Staying in KL is very costly, the same amount of rental for a tiny room there in KL is equivalent for a 2 story house with a big land rental here in my hometown.

As to what happend today imo was negligence, it could happen to anyone if they were to leave their valuables in the car like that.

Oh gosh @Diva, I'm so sorry this happened. Hopefully your family will make sure not to leave their valuables in the car, in plain sight. I always make sure to put bags in the boot and take anything with me that I can. It's a dangerous place we are living in. I do wish that we could all respect one another a bit better though...

@Kilburn

If this was in Saudi Arabia. They would have chopped of the thieves left hand.
And for (some) muslims the left hand has a very special purpose.

Diva, the kind of person who sees fit to subsidize their lifestyle by stealing from other people is the kind of person who in my opinion does not deserve their hands.

To be fair I don't think you can protect against this.

Looks to me like they drilled the locks.

Pretty audacious to do something like this...

That is called the Hudud law, Hudud law is not allowed here but there was one case happend in Kedah I think.

They caught the robber and wanted to cut of his hands but none of them were brave to do it, they even called a doctor to do it but got refused. In the end someone called the police and stopped it.

For the worst just put them on a island deep in the ocean far from any land, let them survive or not on their own...

Why u don't miss it? Transport makes our world smaller.
I have a relative who gave up his car years ago... He loves it... He lives almost in the inner city Sydney Australia. He travels by bus (they operate 24 hours in the inner city) which only takes 15 minutes as opposed to a car which would take a lot longer especially having to find parking etc....

He trains it everywhere else and hires a car if he needs to go to places with little or no transport - He says it's cheaper than maintaining and running a car and a lot less stressful than trying to forever be finding parking spots which can be costly in the inner city....

He travels the world fair regulary and at this moment is living in New york for 3 months while on an extended holiday from work...

Says he wouldn't ever go back to owning a car....

I Live in an metropolitan area. Excellent public transportation here. Clean,Cheap and fast.
There is no need for it. Takes longer time by car than Bus + Subway. I rent if ever needed.

Yeah,, I've seen enough of it 'The world' already,,
