I remember seeing some big wolf spiders in Southern Illinois......but they weren't red......and black widows weren't to big.

Whats with the numbers?

The biggest spider in Australia are the bird eating ones in Queensland. But again they are not red more of a sheeny brownish colour.

in the 60's someone saw an washtub sized spider
1948: Leesville, Louisiana, United States
William Slaydon and his grandchildren were walking north on Highway 171 to church when he motioned them to stop. After hearing a rustling in the bushes ahead a spider described as being the size of a washtub emerged and crossed the road. One of the grandchildren would later tell this story to his own son,.

I`ve seen some black widows and brown recluses in my garage, and not to mention a couple of pygmy rattlers on my property as well.

That was an account from Louisiana from the 1930s if I am correct.

In my woods at night during summer and fall when I shine my light at night I can see what looked like reflections off of water droplets or sap...but upon closer examination I found that it was actually the eyes of Wolf spiders. One ca see several of them at once scattered as far as one can see.
I do not mind spiders.
They are a beneficial creature.

I think I was trying to re-figure out 35 over. But I've been seeing 427 for a long time on the clocks and then when it turned to 2018 I started seeing 428 too.
