I have good friends who are Polish...Who did your DNA test?...online?

Ancestry.com gift. I'm being contacted by 3rd 4th and beyond distant cousins possibly. One guy asks if grandfather died in Chicago, I tell him story that a great grandfather or relative came to Chicago, but was robbed of savings and had to go back to Europe.

Virtually all family resides in Poland living good.

My high school teacher who taught me Additional Mathematics is now my colleague, lol. He is a accountant, I've only met him once in the elevator but couldn't talk for long, the company is big, he is in a different department and myself and some of my colleagues are going to move out to a new building soon, not sure if I will see him again.

The wildfires here are bad (200,000 acres) and I`m glad i bought the best air filter i could for the heat/air, the smoke is getting bad here and the wildfires are 6-7 counties away. i wouldn`t really worry but the wifes health has been a nightmare lately with copd and all, she gotten alot better when the respiratory specialist took her off lisinopril .

Did you lose power?

Fire isn't good for power lines.

If your house is that close to the fire I'd be worried.

Oh, 6-7 counties away... You must have been sightseeing.

Ditto to Casual's post, I would maybe start planning an exit strategy and temporary location, that fire is close to you...Be careful and safe!...

If you have a 4 or 6 inch well, an emergency generator, and commercial sprinklers you could probably ride out a fire.

You would have to sacrifice any trees out to about 200 feet and rototill the ground.

But it should be doable.

I'd mount several sprinklers on the roof to keep the roof soaked.

I didn't know there was that much in Oklahoma to burn.

Oklahoma looks weird on Google.

All those square patches and the circles (the farmers with the long mechanized irrigation farm a circle).

The fire must be in the mountains.

Are those fires normal in that area? What has caused it..
They are not uncommon. The cause of the fires was not immediately known. The National Weather Service in Norman says warm temperatures, low humidity and gusty winds have created extreme fire danger in northern, central and western Oklahoma. Forecasters say wind gusts of up to 55 mph would cause any fire to spread rapidly. 380,000 acres so far.
