Surprise big asteroid fly's by Earth.

SURPRISE ASTEROID FLYBY: With little warning, on Sunday, April 15th, a "Tunguska-class" asteroid about the size of a football field flew through the Earth-Moon system. 2018 GE3 was discovered just the day before as it plunged inward from the asteroid belt. Why is it that our Space Command Earth Defence Systems do not pick these errant asteroids up ?

Doesn't help my confidence factor in these systems...

Its is a bit of a worry these are pretty big asteroids and the only thing between them and us is our planetary defence systems which seem to be unaware of their presence until they are right on top of us . Bothersome .

I wonder just how many of these skyscraper sized asteroids go by us that they don't tell us about ? I really think it is out of our hands if Billy Bob Thornton can't find it.
