What do you guys do for a living/career?

At Peace.
I guess I'm in the opposite situation. I love my job but, if money was the only object, I could go work in a factory for 10-15k more a year if I needed to. I can't last in a job I don't like, although some people can.

I dont make fantastic money... It is a living...

I give to charity wheverver I can, so I am hoping karma works in my favor, but I wont ever be rich anyway.. Being rich is overrated. I will be lucky if I can fully retire, but I like what I do, very much. I like the people in the office... It is just a good, normal life... I like helping the world be a better place... that is always the best thing anyone can do.

Some days are harder than others and some patrons I wish would find something else to do with their lives. But I've never had a sincere desire to go anywhere else. In any event it would be difficult because I have an M.A. in History (which fits the specific subject matter I work with) and not an M.L.S., which most libraries want.
Do you do UFO and Alien research in your line of work?

If I could, I would! I've gone through my agency's holdings and found nothing ufo related. Most of what we have is mundane government agency reports and court cases.

As Above So Below
I'm employed by a company that designs and produces an array of devices for the medical field all around the world, from ambulances to hospitals and people with medical issues at home...Chances are you have used one of the products we make if you've seen a doctor or visited a hospital...

I'm a Supervisor over two departments, both of which are contamination proof areas of production and restricted access...Our parent company is a Fortune 500 corporation in the top 20 of 500 with plants of operation all over the world...

I also own a IT company I started from the ground up over 10 years ago and within a year or two I'm starting another company involved in renewable energies...

I was working as a maintenance technician in a food factory.
I worked weekends 3 12 hour days.
I haven't been to work now since May 10th. Arm surgery...again and it still is not right. Going to get more surgeries.
Family income runs dry Nov. 21. Working on that problem.

Hobbies...my only hobby is using my metal detector...but haven't had time for that in over a decade now.

I like own a land and be a farmer.
I thought to get a land one day and plant vegetables, fruits and bamboo as a hobby.

Bamboo takes 3 years to grow, i want to try making bamboo flooring tiles and cutting board out of it.

Bamboo flooring..

I have said elsewhere I live in the end of a shed. But when I finally get back on my feet, I cant wait to do a few things.
Funny you mentioned bamboo. I want a few acres and I know bamboo almost grows like a weed.
I want a section of my land with may be 100m x 100m of the thickest bamboo I can grow. I want to cut paths and secret places all through it for my grand kids to play in and explore. Like the pic below but with much smaller secret winding paths.
Just before my wife gave me the boot I built a Bee Hive and registered as an apiarist. I built a hive using the African bee Hive style rather than the traditional hive. I never got to put bees in it because the cold weather set in and it was the wrong time to start a colony. It is quite different in how it is made. Mine looks a little like this but is much sexier. I already have a registered domain name elsewhere but I want to register another one called LiveattheHive.something. I plan to have a couple of webcams streaming live from the entrance, and one inside on the bees. So interested people can watch and listen to the bees live.
I also want to try my hand at Aqua ponics. basically that is a huge fish tank maybe 8 or 10 meters long with nice fish in it. A dirt less rock garden above it on a rack that has herbs and veggies. The water from the fish tank pumps up to the veggies, all the fish poo and stuff help the herbs and veggies, and in turn the nutrients drip back down into the fish tank for the fish.
Can't wait...now all I need is a place of my own :)

Like this but with thinner paths hopefully touching at the top like a cave.

My Hive is way sexier than this one.

I like a bamboo path like in this picture, i like the way they arrange those rocks and made those grass wall style..
bamboo-forest.jpg

Wild honey bees used to come to my house, they even tried to build a hive. I'll always chase them away, I like honey but i don't trust those bees..

I'm staying near cameron highlands, i use to see them doing this hydroponic thing for strawberries, vegetables and flower plants.. idk what they've add in the water but the plants grew well. It looks like this..

That bamboo is nice, Very pretty.
I used to be scared of bees until I saw a beekeeper come and get a hive out of an old chair. Once I saw what he did I thought hell I could do that. Unless the bees are a particular aggressive species. They are unlikely to hurt you if they don't feel threatened. The trick is t o not panic and try and swish them away. If you upset one, they give of pheromones that tell all the other bees that there is danger near. Then you might be in trouble. I park my car next to a big flowery shrub that is always full of bees. I just walk through them. Just don't swipe at them :) I have even let them land on me. If you stay calm they wont do anything usually. I love bees.

Just leave the Bumble bees alone.
They are the pit bull of bees.
