Well Trump did good, very good, stood down Russian threats and did what was necessary and destroyed Syrian chemical weapons factories and also dealt a blow to Syrian air forces and naval forces...

Good work Mr. President!...

Putin warns of 'consequences' as photos show Assad's chemical weapons factories obliterated by Trump, May and Macron's 105 missile barrage despite Russia's threat to shoot down Tomahawks

  • Satellite imagery taken before and after the airstrikes on Saturday show buildings in Syria reduced to rubble
  • The three sites included a bunker and storage facility outside Homs, the Shinshar Chemical Weapons Facility
  • The third and main target was the Barzah research facility in northern Damascus, which was hit by 76 missiles
  • Pentagon officials said the airstrikes were 'precise, overwhelming and effective' at a briefing on Saturday
  • Russian President Vladimir Putin warned of 'consequences' and said said there was no evidence of the attack
  • President Donald Trump has vowed to carry out further strikes if Assad crosses the chemical 'red line' again
  • UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson defended Britain's decision to join the strikes and stand up to 'barbarism'
  • Labour's Jeremy Corbyn questioned their legality but the UK government said it was a humanitarian action

New satellite imagery shows extensive damage to targets hit by Saturday's US-led airstrikes in Syria, where three sites were reduced to rubble as Donald Trump, Theresa May and Emmanuel Macron responded to a chemical attack by the Assad regime which killed 75 people.

The images taken on Saturday show extensive missile damage to the facilities believed to be involved with Syria's chemical weapons program, with two facilities decimated in Homs and the Bazrah Research Center, a scientific research center on the outskirts of Damascus, also hit by a barrage of missiles.

It comes as Vladimir Putin warned of 'consequences' after the US, UK and France co-ordinated the military action, condemning Saturday's strikes as an 'act of aggression' that will worsen the humanitarian catastrophe in Syria and have a 'destructive influence on the entire system of international relations.

But Trump has vowed to carry out further airstrikes on Syria if the regime dares to use chemical weapons again, while UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson defended Britain's decision to stand up to 'barbarism' amid criticism of Mrs May for acting without a vote in the House of Commons.

I do not like big displays of force, but I do trust that these actions are well thought out and precise for their intended purpose.

I hope to see all man made suffering end in the world someday, but I am surprised when military force seems to be the best strategy they can come up with.

Violence is not the best solution, but it is one way to stop an immediate threat from being used.

Of course, Russia wants to swoop in and protect that real estate... they would love to do a land grab under the guise of staving off threats to Syria.

My biggest concern is what the people think. Syrians see attacks coming from all around them.... then they see big destruction from foriengn nations... it must be pretty scary to think they may be 'invaded' by entities with bigger weapons.

They will likely welcome Russia and unknowingly give themselves to Russia out of these fears....

Ofc not. Modern wars are designed to hit the population, real hard..

17th century warfare with long rows of combatants in armies ,,, only fighting eachothers,, are long gone..

Its saves soldiers and causing their enemies great human & social devastation

The left wing in the UK are really kicking up a stink about this.

Saying it was illegal because May didn't getting the backing of Parliament and that they don't want another War.

Corbyn who has no backbone is especially getting on his soap box about this.

The fact of the matter is that the Syrian government is killing its own citizens. If these bombings help to save lives then it was worth it.

The left seem to be all about appeasement and buring their heads in the sand. I wonder if it was our government gassing our own people, would they bitch and whine if America for example destroyed the facility that was enabling our government to kill innocent people.
