Kchoo Experience

At Peace.
When you get a chance, I would like to hear how you go about meditation.
I sit in a comfortable easy chair, or I sit yoga style, or lay down- whatever is most conducive to relaxation, without falling asleep.

Laying down, before bed, I do a short exercise of pulling in a deep breath, holding it for a few seconds, and letting it out very slowly. I put my hands palm down on the bottom edge of my ribcage and rest my elbows on the bed. I say to myself what my intention is...

Whatever method I use fits a purpose of my intention, whether it is simply to rest well, or other times it is to talk with a certain Alien Friend. Sometimes I have dreams... sometimes I hear them in the dark and I consciously talk to them, or they talk to me, and more rarely I find myself someplace else.

Concious meditation is usually sitting up in yoga style, or in a chair. I usually use it for tracing memories and tying them as best I can... especially if I feel a memory coming back.
I try not to wait on that so I don't lose it again... once I commit it to meditation and recall, I will write it down at the first available opportunity so I can reference it again.

That's about it as far as aliens go, but I also do meditation for balance and decision making... reviewing everything... putting myself in the shoes of anyone who will be effected by my choices... then trying to do what is best for all... I think helps to be at peace with decisions... as we must live with them...

Concious meditation is usually

Meditation is always conscious, it's never unconscious, unconsciois is sleeping and dreaming...

No it isn't. They are different... but dreams are powerful and cannot be ignored...

If you meditate and fall asleep it's no longer meditation...sorry...

You are correct, it is guided dreams...
But intentional exploration beyond consciousness is valid.

There is nothing beyond consciousness, nothing can exist without consciousness...

Only in death, there is no conciousness.... orrrr is there?

Death isn't a state, it's like walking through a door,..

Haha... okay then.

Meditation and dreaming cannot directly influence one another, they are completely different processes, memories of dreams and/or memories of periods of meditation can influence indirectly, but the two cannot interact directly...

Anyway, Rick Hunter asked about my method.... So I gave it my best description, and It works for me.
I am not here to teach meditation, or to pretend I am any kind of expert... but I hope I answered the question.

Why not?

So? They are still part of the same spirit/consciousness...

No they are not, there isn't some pool where meditation, dreams, astral traveling and so forth all comes from, they are very different processes and actions...Perhaps you should do some research on mediation before continuing because you are just mixing everything up and have very little understanding in this matter...

:Thumbsup:I have done some digging

There is a lot of information out there, and there does not seem to be a hard fast rule that says dreams cannot be part of meditation...

So I do not agree with you, Nivek. You make general statements as if it is the gospel... and it is really just your opinion.

We can site examples to support our ideas, but in the end we will be only focusing on things that are less important than the act of meditation itself.

I will not tell you that you are wrong... but I will not accept that I am wrong just because you want to argue semantics.

A lot of bunk and new agey nonsense out there too, first you need to learn how to discern between that and what's real...

Believe what you want, I'm not arguing semantics, I was trying to help you but you obviously got it all figured out...

Remember, I already said I am no expert, nor am I a teacher.
I think you are more focused on being right than I am...
I understand what you are saying, and you are not wrong.

I think perhaps a meditation thread is a good idea... and I think many can benefit from your wisdom, but your approach toward me felt like more of a pounce than a well intended guidance. ;)
