An American ISIS widow whose son appeared in propaganda videos has defended buying Yazidi sex slaves in Syria and says she dreams of returning to the US with her four children to eat McDonalds.

Sam El Hassani, also known as Samantha Sally, is currently in a Kurdish prison in Syria with her children after being taken into custody following ISIS's collapse in Raqqa.

The 32-year-old's ISIS-fighting husband Moussa El Hassani was killed last year in a drone strike.

Over time, she said the couple bought two female teenage slaves and a young boy. The first slave was a girl named Soad, now aged 17, who El Hassani said she paid $10,000 for.

El Hassani said her husband repeatedly raped the two girls but she defended her decision to purchase them because she offered them protection.

'In every house that she was in before that was the same situation, but she did not have the support of someone like me,' El Hassani told CNN.

'I would never apologize for bringing those girls to my house. They had me and I had them.

'In any other situation they would be locked in a bedroom and fed tea every day. We cooked together, we cleaned together. Drank coffee together. Slept in the same room together. I was like their mother.'

Soad sent CNN a video message from an Iraqi refugee camp confirming that El Hassani rescued her.

She said her children also became victims, especially her son Matthew who became the subject of ISIS propaganda videos in which he vowed revenge on US President Donald Trump.

That would be the only way I would say she can come back into the country, if she was handed over to the authorities and let them sort it out...

I said no because she made her choices in life, if ISIS was doing well she would not be asking to come back to the US...She would be keeping the slaves, and raising her children to be killers...

Treasonous actions yes...

But again turn her over to the authorities and let them sort it out, don't just admit her back in the country as if nothing ever happened...

There are bound to be those who are caught in emotion and regret the choices they make, she followed her man by the sounds of it, shame.

Still no way should she be let back as her bringing up of her kids speaks volumes. Send them back with a happy meal and a shake.

Making Americans feel guilty over a woman who chose to let her son hate Americans. No brainer, stamp the book and send them packing.

Better yet keep her locked up, she hasn't even shown herself to be a responsible parent...

Whats best ? put her kids in US foster care , or let them all rott in kurdish prison..

Well, there is a fault proof option... Just send 'em here.. That could actually be the best solution.

That's always the problem, the children suffer...very sad...

The solution needs to address the kids, the mother made bad choices, she might rot in prison but the children need not, worst case the kids have just been brainwashed a little with mindless isis propaganda...

Must have come from a disfunctional family if she thinks raping the kids is normal.

Reminds me of the West Virginia couple that just got married.

the woman is obviously as thick as 2 planks.. but that's not the children's fault!!
to me it's a no brainer= let her back in & be done with it... for the children's sake.

This is where the problem is, one for all and all for one.

One sets a standard, it then becomes the many.

Are we still not learning of our shortcomings.

Have to ask, as the person you are today, would you if you were her, feel OK with being refused ?

I for one would not be requesting.

I will add that there are many cases like hers, all over the world and we don't know about them. When an instance becomes knowledge it opens a wound that shouldn't be open.

The Western world is hardening and for this lady, her ties to terror will obviously be seen as enough. I think that to be just.

The reason for the hardening comes from a softening that will echo through time.

Back and forth and never balancing out. This to me is where it becomes one movement only split by firmness.
