Dangerous rhetoric

As Above So Below
There seems to be a wave of dangerous rhetoric, dangerous actions in the US lately, is this a conspiracy to divide the nation into civil war?...

We see confederate statues and now even statues of the founder fathers of the United States are under attack, people protesting for and against them under attack, we've seen the President under constant attack...

Now the Democratic campaign committee which is dedicated to electing members to the House is adding more fuel to this nationwide rhetoric by referring to three White House advisers as “white nationalists” because they support tougher immigration laws...

This sets a dangerous precedent, this could easily escalate into referring to all Republicans as racist and divide this nation deeper...The rhetoric must stop on both sides, but it's not, is there a conspiracy in play here?...

I used to check my Facebook account 2 or 3 times a day. Now I check it about 2 or 3 times a week, The newsfeed is almost always clogged with flaming political posts and most of the friends I enjoyed following have stopped posting.

During the coverage of the Houston flooding on CNN today people started talking about how Joel Osteen's church refused to open to accommodate refugees. In fact they did eventually open. They claimed they delayed their opening over flooding concerns but that didn't stop all the critics from talking about how they believe he's greedy and that Christianity is evil, etc.

People nowadays are looking to take every opportunity they can to attack people and call them names. It seems as if bad behavior is being rewarded and good behavior is being punished. Personally, I'm to the point where I just want to hide in my man cave.

I agree with Immortal -- we all need to start thinking more positive thoughts.

I never thought there could possibly be a civil war again. But now I am having second thoughts.
Didn't one great leader of our past say our greatest future enemy(s) will come from within.
We have too many bad apples on the US cart and too many Democrats and Republicans as well that want to keep them.
The whole country is going rotten right now.

Well...

The problem is that the left has defined any disagreement with their position as "hate speech".

The left doesn't seem to realize that 1984 was an attack on socialism (Ingsoc is newspeak for "English Socialism").

What is worse is the left seems to view 1984 as a "how to manual" and not a cautionary tale.
