I must say the POTUS impresses me with what he has been getting done... he does some things that seem whacky on the surface, but it seems he comes out smelling like a rose on most of it...
I still don't get all of what he is doing, but I am starting to believe the end justifies the means in Trumps actions.

Reminds me of one of the local farmers that my dad described as "he could walk into a pile of sh*t and come out smelling like a rose".

From what I can tell Trump has a 140+ IQ and is about 3-4 moves ahead of everyone else. He keeps doing things that don't make sense and harvests the result much later.

On the other hand Kasparov says Trump is no chess player.

Trump has to meet Kim nothing less would do. Well as long as Kim keeps his rockets in his pants then things should pan out.

He doesn't have a rocket in there. It is more of a firecracker.

I think Trump and Kim have a better working relationship than the previous presidents did with his predecessors.

We will have to see how this turns out.

As a side note - policy wonks are deluded about North Korea.

They think his missiles aren't accurate.

This is just bizarre.

You could land a nuke within a mile or two of downtown LA with WWII guidance technology.

That is good enough to kill a million people.

The Russians and US were trying for accuracy of 90 and 70 meters respectively to crush hardened silos. That is a whole different story.

Kim won't go after hardened silos.

Given the failures of US SM3 missiles and other measures he has a 10% or better chance of landing a warhead.

It has been annoying for 30 years. The handling of the Kims has been so ham handed it makes you believe Trump's predecessors, from both parties, were mentally deficient.
trump is also quite mentally retarded, and frankly i would'nt expect much of a obvious deep state plant to make the dumber conspiracy theorists think everthing is okay

The big glaring problem I see with this whole meeting (if it happens) is that the United States is going to ask NK for complete nuclear disarmament. Knowing NK, I really don't think they would go for that. NK wants to be recognized as a world power, they feel like they wont be a world power without the nukes. Very confusing situation.

But really, Pence should have kept his mouth shut and didn't try to insult NK by comparing them with Libya when we were so close to the summit. We all know what happened in Libya. I do hope that Ol' Trump blasted him for that big mistake.

this zig-zagging is stupid and very immature

We tried "straight line"ing for more than 30 years (perhaps more than 70 years).

Insanity is repeating the same mistakes over and over again and expecting different results.

Your approach has been tried repeatedly ad-nauseum and failed miserably.

Straight-lining is not only stupid and immature, but certifiably insane.

At least Trump's approach is only stupid and immature. It looks that way because he is meeting Kim at Kim's level.

When they asked Trump if there was a chance of Nuclear War he said " We'll see".

How is he going to know if there is going to be a nuclear war? Does the reporter think Trump is psychic?

At least we know there will only be one nuclear war with North Korea. Kim's poisoned much of the country (nuclear weapon development is incredibly dirty), we'll take care of the rest of it. The population will flee north and south - China will get the dirty commies, and South Korea will get the clean commies.

There is a nonzero chance of nuclear war, as long as there is anyone on the planet with a basic knowledge of atomic physics, and countries, and political frictions. It was a stupid question.

I think it was a fabulous answer. Trump does fabulous pretty well.

frankly i think we should continue straight lining, leave them alone, if they want to be isolated from the rest of the world and have a horrible life, so be it

The U.S. Government already said that they would pay for his lodging. It was actually the US who came up with the idea of paying for it, not Kim.

Kim Jong Un Sacks North Korea’s Top Military Brass Ahead Of Summit With Trump

The Trump - Kim interactions are interesting.

Trump and Kim have a working relationship that is much more functional than any US president and North Korean leader since before the Korean war.

Not sure I would have expected this two years ago.

The fact he is sacking some outspoken generals would tend to support the theory Kim is serious.
