WOW, bombshell post:

The UFO Trail: Steinberg Bankruptcy Failed to Slow Claims of Cash Crisis

Breaks down what Gene made as of two years ago, along with his expenses, such as a $700 a month car payment. Along with a $400 a month 'transportation' cost, for a guy who has no job and doesn't leave his computer.

Also, $225 a month for TV, Internet, and phone services. And $200 a month 'Entertainment' costs.

To sum up, donators money went to over $1500 worth of declared costs - for Gene to drive a new model car, watch cable, and pay for his iPhone and internet.

Then two years later, he found a gated apartment community that cost $500 more than his previous living arrangement listed here, that he demanded people to pay for.
*BOOM*
the lulz train has no brakes!!!!!

Steinberg replied in a July 18 email that he resents the probe into public records about him and other family members. "I demand that it stop,"
"My financial struggles are none of your business," Steinberg wrote, adding that he demands others and I cease trolling him and posting what he termed false information.

Its called holding your feet to the fire Gene, and its well deserved in your case.
hahhahhahhahah
classic!
steinberg is going down at supersonic speed!

But don't worry everyone! There will be a new episode of the Paracast this week, featuring an interview with Nick Redfern, talking about very important new developments I'm sure.

Yes, Gene and Barbara have been living in a motel for over a month, where they are allegedly struggling to come up with money every couple of days to extend their stay. (and yet still saving for a new apartment? who leases to this pair?)

Priorities. The show must go on. I say again, this might be admirable if it weren't so insane.
why is nick redfern allying with this scumbag???!!!!!
he is one of the best researchers left out there, so just why????

I noticed there's been no activity on paracast from the illustrious new admin Gene appointed...Early this morning looking back on yesterday's drama when Gene's shill visited here or maybe better put, was sent here, it is obvious to me now his whole intention was to disrupt things here as much as he could knowing at some point I would pull the plug on that campaign of his...I apologize if I sound cynical but the man may be intelligent but he has no dignity to stoop to the level he played yesterday...Also some of you may not have seen another thread in the Science section but the shill went right after Thomas...During the afternoon yesterday whilst I was kind of watching his activities the shill went to the Funny Pics thread and was clicking awesome on all my posts there, perhaps as a diversionary tactic thinking I would let my guard down and think he was okay...I have to admit I was optimistic when he first joined but as yesterday progressed it becoming clearer how it was going to end...

...
i would have banned him outright, there is no way this would go other way than straight south

Indeed, the adverts for survivalist crap, Big Berky water filters, garbage pseudoscientific supplements and the like are actually more entertaining than the actual show segments.
he sells those too?!
as day by day goes he is starting to look more and more like george noory....

I don’t believe Steinberg ever gives refunds. Once you hand over cash, it’s gone forever. Once when the Paracast Plus was started, I sent Steinberg money for two Plus subscriptions for two members that could’t afford it. When that scumbag announced this, he made it sound as if he were making available these freebies from his own pocket.

He didn’t have to name me or pat me in the back. Instead he made it sound like he was doing a big favor for two members.

I thought my head would explode the way he handled things. No more largess from me after that episode.

Seems right up his alley. Why not take credit for two subscriptions, when he's been taking credit for adding anything to the show from two co-hosts for years.

Never underestimate the typical UFO researcher and the allure of getting their ego stroked a bit as a guest at conference, on a radio show, or on a podcast. Scheme Gene aside, it amazes me how many want to be taken seriously and then go off to a conference to present along with batshit insane speakers.

You may have noticed that Steinberg never goes to any UFO conventions. He normally has some bad alibi he uses. I figured that he would get grief from the attendees about his financial funny business. He wouldn’t have his website’s Rules and Regulations (no criticism of the owner) to hide behind.

well it is a way to get more people to know your ideas, most people that frequent conferences these days are nuts, with the exception of nick redfern and jacques vallee

If he went to those conventions I doubt he would beg for money face to face with people, but I don't know, maybe he would be so bold, but I think its easier for him to beg from his computer in the confines of his motel and disconnected from the people he's taking money from...He doesn't have to see faces or expressions...

Going somewhere consists of getting off your ass and doing something, instead of sitting in front of a computer and making up reasons why others should pay for his expenses.

I mean, what exactly could he even offer? An amateurish sci-fi novel, some 1990's AOL how-to books, and a ton of poor jokes and 60s pop culture references? I would rather pay to hear random posters on this forum speak than him.

Can someone clarify what happened with the car.

On June 19th 2017, when a pickup truck had a serious “argument” with my VW sedan. Fortunately, seatbelts and airbags functioned properly. The head-on collision totaled my car.

Did he replace this car ? he mentioned lawyers and a payout

Here's Gene on December 14, 2013, telling how he "traded in a 2011 Accord EX-L V6 with navigation" to a new Kia "2014 Optima EX with Premium": 2014 Optima EX with Premium Owner

Confirmation from his own forum: "Kia Optima." What Kind of Car Do You Drive?

List price seems to have been $23,950 + $3,300 for that premium package: 2014 Kia Optima EX 4dr Sedan Pricing and Options

Here's him warning others how BMW "will try to extort a big fee to replace expensive run flat tires at the end of a lease": Question re lease return

Which seems to confirm he had a leased BMW before that Accord, and apparently "I was never enamored of BMW audio, using a 2008 3-series as an example": Hello from Nor California!

Also V6 VW "the engine has about the same horsepower as the Honda and VW I had, with V6 engines, in the early 2000s": Debating on an Optima - Page 3

Which was "Had a 2004 Passat V6 GLX. Built on the same platform as the Audi A4, so it was a fancy ride." What Kind of Car Do You Drive?

With optional goodies again: "I was favorably impressed with the VW Passat GLX after two test drives and took home a Brilliant Silver version with the optional stability control" 2003 Volkswagen Passat Warning Reviews - Top 10 Problems

According to this comment, he has also sent a begging email roughly a week before that first message on the Kia forum, and those kept coming: An Open Letter To Ufology

There seems to a pattern of brand new cars with high performance engines and optional goodies every 3 years or so. If he hasn't bought a new one yet, please help Gene and send lots of money, as he would be overdue for a new one.

Edit: Never mind that last part, he already had a VW again on June 26, 2017: "My now departed car, a VW sedan, is well rated for safety. I wear seat belts religiously, and the air bags went off as designed when the collision occurred." June 25, 2017 — John DeSouza

My Mom had a phrase for guys like Steinberg. "He could step in of bucket of shit and come up smelling like a rose." This guy has managed to supposedly go from one crisis to another. It frankly amazes me he isn't behind bars.
