Roseanne Barr got into trouble recently for strange Twitter postings and blamed the influence of Ambien.

I followed the story of elon musk
way before his name ever hit the news
it was some guy that raced cars on I5 with some electric car and won every race
he payed others to build the cars...
he has never been anything special
he just had money to play with

Roseanne Barr is a comedian,
her job is to mess with reality of others
now if others decide that the job of a jester is no longer a job...
Ambien might be a good thing to blame things on
there is enough data showing that Ambien is a horrible idea to take
could just be that some people "need" a way out of what they have set up around them
and they will do almost anything to escape

What?

Roseanne's job as a comedian is to make people laugh. Her humour actually seems rather tame compared to modern stand-ups and she is known mostly for her sitcom Roseanne (which I watched an episode of in its original run and couldn't stand). She made a strange joke about someone called Valerie Jarrett, who apparently worked in the Obama Whitehouse, on Twitter and it cost her her recently relaunched sitcom. Many of the cast immediately distanced themselves from her, or condemned her and even quit and the television network immediately cancelled it. It seemed a bit of an overreaction, but we live in very peculiar times.

Iq, Doesn't mean as much as people would like to believe, Elon Musks I'Q is reportedly 155.

There are people here with higher IQ's than that, Hell Mine is 157 and I know I'm in the right company, Everyone here is above average. So, I view Elon as a wealthy man that invested in Science, Many of his ideas he funds are in-house from people who he pays to come up with these ideas, He Then, invests his wealth into making those things happen, Is he a genius? That's not really the point, Even the most intellectual minds in the world can eventually succumb to pressure and well, The Story of John forbs or even Einsteins last years could tell us that. Sometimes, Brilliant people lose their minds, It happens. Elon could never truly live up the reputation he (Purchased), and now people are beginning to see through the veil.

For reference, The highest Iq ever recorded was between 250 to 300, This is because, When you hit 250, The tests become wildly inaccurate. The man's name was William James Sidis William James Sidis - Wikipedia

New York Post : Tesla insiders say ‘it's a s--t show’ under beleaguered Elon Musk.

I guess considering the source I shouldn't be surprised, the NY post is essentially a gossip rag but it links to a NY Times story that's kinda interesting.

The New York Post arrives in a bag at the end of the driveway each morning. It's a rolled up package of Truth, Justice and the American Way :) And surprisingly, just like Grandma at the family dinner, will occasionally blurt out just what everyone's thinking but are too polite to say. News is a s***show in general and a couple of good laughs over breakfast is healthy.

Musk will likely wind up as a curiosity on the ash heap of history.

Yeah, I was getting the local newspaper here at home but the damn thing seems to be attracted to the one and only hole in my gravel driveway which fills with water when it rains making a bloody mess of things so I stopped getting it...Soon after, by coincidence the Jehovah people started coming around leaving their god magazines on my front porch...I guess my dog's aggressive behaviour at having company over runs them off quickly, since I live in the country and do not get many visitors, just the way I like it btw...

I see it repeated in every news article on this story, but I do not think that Vernon Unsworth, the man Elon Musk accused of being a paedophile, is a diver. He is a caver, was one of the first responders to the rescue effort, and mapped much of the cave system where the boys were trapped, but he realized that specialist divers were required for their rescue and prompted the Thai authorities to enlist their services. This is not to take anything away from Mr Unsworth, who did contribute greatly to the effort, but it is simply to point out the lazy lack of research done by almost all journalists writing on this matter.

they started to have many wireless charger systems many years ago,
but they were dropped for efficiency reasons,
you can still build one, but you would have to get past things like UL certification
many cities have outlawed plugging things into the wall that are not UL certified.
so I wonder if they pulled it for lack of certifications, or did they somehow build it to match efficiency standards and pull it off the web for some other reason.

It is very hard to have any sympathy or respect left for Elon Musk now. He has hit bottom and started digging. He might be feeling beleagured, but all of his problems appear to be of his own making.

The main problem with Musk IMO is too much money and hence success too soon. He comes across to me as someone who doesn't really know what to do with himself so he throws himself into one endeavour after the next. His bizarre utterances suggest someone who needs constant distraction and is ill at ease with himself - something I and I think many others may sympathise with, except in his case it has greater consequences because he is a public figure.

In a sense he's a bit like Gene, still going at it

Honestly I don't think this is an unheard-of thing, for a person from a Western country to indulge in 'sexual tourism' in a country that either has different mores or where people are willing to look the other way somehow. Arthur Clarke was accused of living in Sri Lanka so he could have sex with young boys; Sri Lankan authorities investigated the charges and dismissed them.

I've no idea how often this kind of thing went on or still goes on, and if Thailand was a place for it.

That said it's quite difficult to imagine Elon Musk knows what he is talking about here, with regard to this specific guy who said something that happened to upset Musk. Also seems a bad idea for him to keep saying it.

I also heard that Elon has been smoking pot whilst making these kinds of bizarre pronouncements (according to a friend of his girlfriend - some popstar) and that it is something new for him (assuming it is true may just be garbage). It may be the equivalent of drunk posting - particularly if he is one of those people who is prone to paranoia on cannabinoids.

w8 High Times magazine had this to say about a certain '420' tweet from Mr. Musk:

Tech mogul Elon Musk has clarified that his tweet on August 7 about taking his electric car company Tesla private was not related to weed. In the tweet, Musk wrote that he had secured financing to take the company private at $420 per share. The quoted price led some to speculate it was related to 4/20 references from cannabis culture.

The tweet caused a rally in Tesla stock that led to a suspension of trading shares in the company on the Nasdaq exchange. An investigation has also been initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In an interview with The New York Times, Musk said he was not high when he posted the tweet. Instead, it was just a matter of rounding numbers.
