Avengers: Infinity War

If Gamora is in the soul stone then whomever can wield the gauntlet can bring her back or anyone else back...The reality stone to recreate her body, the time stone to set her back in this timeline, the power stone to give life to her body, the mind stone to animate the brain, and the soul stone to put her soul back into her body...

If Dr. Strange saw into the future and viewed over 14 million possible outcomes then he should know he might be one of those dissolved in the end and set something in motion to get him back using the time stone before Thanos gets it from him...He may have planned for that outcome after viewing all those possible futures...

I saw this movie today and I didn't understand why a lot of the characters disintegrated at the end. Dave Bautista's character was one that died and he's in talks for another Avenger's movie.

Here's one explanation.

Infinity War does a surprisingly good job of laying out just how Thanos intends to use a fully powered Infinity Gauntlet, then follows through once he obtains all six Infinity Stones (after a sprinkle of time trickery).

Thor stabs Thanos and seems as if he might have narrowly averted catastrophe, but Thanos tells Thor he should have aimed for the head, snaps his fingers, and wipes half the sentient beings in the universe from existence.

Over a protracted sequence, heroes major (Spider-Man) and minor (Groot) are wiped from existence, largely leaving the original Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Black Widow), as well as a few stragglers (Rocket Raccoon, War Machine, Nebula, etc.) to gape in horror at what’s happened. Thanos effectively retires to the countryside, his dream of stopping universal overpopulation achieved.

It's shocking and gutting, but the film sneakily lets viewers know it has a "get out of jail free" card in its post-credits scene, which teases the arrival of the powerful Captain Marvel. (This is followed by a card promising, “Thanos will return.”)

Probably, this will all just be reversed, but for a moment ... it feels like everything has changed.

There is a whole lot of Comic book lore to understand about Thanos, The reason Thanos makes a great villain is, He's a hardened soldier at heart. He believes the population has put a strain on resources causing sickness and poverty, So for the sake of Life in the universe, He sought out the infinity gauntlet so he could destroy exactly half of all life in existence, leaving more resources for the other half, It makes for a great story because Thanos Judged fairly when he did this, Rich and poor, sick and healthy, He disregarded all of that, He just took half, In a very fair way.

Some people speculate that Thanos is now Dead as he was one of the half ;) But that wouldn't make for a great story,

In the comics Thanos did this for another more selfish reason, Thanos was in love with the specter of Death,

This woman, She is the literal embodiment of Death. She is the entity of Death, In The comics, Thanos Killed half the universe just to please her, And she was disgusted by this act, But the movie doesn't follow the comics exactly.

This could mirror current events as far as a depopulation agenda. If the infinity stones actually exist then the creator allowed him to do it. At least one of the times the Black Death swept across Europe the people that survived ate better because there were more resources available.

I could have typed all of this out, But, Matpat from Film Theory Did a great video on this,

Here is why Matpat Thinks Thanos was Right to do what he did, With the math intact, he even mentions how the black death did benefit those that survived, it's a wonderful video :)

What Thanos did was only a temporary fix because populations double every generation. Who or what was behind his actions? Maybe the story was meant as a parable for the collective consciousness of humanity.

Believe it or not, Mattpat actually mentions exponential growth in the video and discusses that very topic ;) The man is so rocking solid he covers every base. :)

None of them died, they were taken into the soul stone...Doctor Strange looked into the future earlier in the movie and saw over 14 million outcomes of the battle with Thanos, he said the Avengers only succeeded in beating Thanos one time out of those millions...So Doctor Strange knows how they can beat Thanos and I think he set those wheels in motion before he was disintegrated...

When Groot used his arm to create a handle for Thor's new hammer/axe Stormbreaker wouldn't it disappear when he turned to dust at the end of the movie. The video claims Stormbreaker doesn't require the user to be worthy.

Thanos wiped out half the population but he didn't wipe out their past, they were still remembered, so anything like Groot's arm becoming an axe handle it would stay around, if he wiped out their past and all memory of it then the axe handle would disappear...Stormbreaker can be used by anyone but I don't think it contains electrical power itself, that comes from Thor...If someone else used it then it would be a channel for their powers and serve as an axe...

I watched Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther to get a better understanding of Infinity War. I usually don't that into movies, but the end was such a well written cliffhanger.

I bought early tickets for this movie to see it at the Imax theater 30 minutes from me...I bought and reserved seats for Saturday April 28th in the afternoon, 16 dollars each on Fandango...I never went to a Imax theater before, this will be the first time for me...

I went to an Imax once, it was a documentary about Mars. It was very impressive. I know you're going to love it. :)

Am I the only one who is a bit bored of super hero movies?

In my opinion it is just the same story over and over with slightly different characters each time.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Ant-Man and Deadpool and from the DC Universe Suicide Squad and Wonder Women but that was because I thought they were something different and therefore a little more interesting...

Also watched Guardians of the Galaxy 1&2 and the new Thor the other day, which I have to say I thought they were total crap with their unfunny "jokes" and uninteresting story lines.

I have got to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them and can't hardly stand the wait for the rest to come out.

Again, I could not watch any vids listed here but, I can tell you that I have seen the movie three times and I have seen every single bit of youtube coverage. That's how much I loved it. :)

You bring all the superheros to Earth and set Thanos up like they did on his home world. They could use magic or wizardry to keep civilians safe somehow or another. Then bring him there to Earth. Just a bigger and more aggressive set up by all involved working together in one place this time.

And of course Superman. I know he is at his most powerful while he is on Earth.

I confess that I am not well versed on any of the comic books so...Am I being naive?

I finally got round to watching Infinity War and sorry I wasn't impressed! Made me laugh when they said Ant-Man was under house arrest so he couldn't come and help against Thanos. Seriously.... House arrest stops a "superhero" from helping out...

Bit of a snoozefest the whole film.... Although Thanos did save it for me a little bit with the ending...
