Primates can have very human behavior, selfishness seems to be Favorited by natural selection, however primatology shows primates to possess feelings such as love, admiration, and generosity. This monkey is showing affection to the dog despite being of different species and origin.

Must be some kind of crossover relationship or partnership ,, like the dog hangs around the Monkeys guarding them.. and receives
something for it,, grooming, loveo_O or maybe some food leftovers...

I've seem that picture before and IIRC, the dogs are homeless/wild. I don't think they started out that way. They were abandoned.

That seems like deep affection to me. I guess the bears get lonely out there in the polar regions.

I lived in Churchill, Manitoba. We watched this happen and decided that the reason is because the dogs are given a supply of fish to live off. It is presented in a large block of ice so that they can't eat it all in one sitting. The bears used to kill the dogs and eat the fish. Bears a very smart. They realized that when they did this, the fish supply stopped. If they befriended the dogs, they could get to the fish and the supply kept coming.

I think the monkey is just curious, I don't think that is affection..

Monkey like to steal. maybe it's trying to find something to take from the dog.

They are playing hide and seek.
Maybe the monkey once overheard someone say "Stick it in your ear!"

Just joking.....

Oh, It all comes down to survival in the end then . Typical!

This is pretty incredible, but also explainable.

That is strange. Maybe the dogs are not the watchdog kind, they just some very playful and friendly dogs perhaps. If my dog were there it would probably be barking and growling the whole day..

I have cows wondering around my house and I've never seen even one dog befriending the cows. Those dogs befriending those polar bears are kinda strange.

Monkey in Bali with adopted child

Idk but I think it because the kitten is very young. Animals tends to care for young children and other young animals.

Myself was bodyguarded by a wild stray cat when I was young. It was very wild and fierce that it has even scratched and chased my parents away many times but it was very gentle with me although I was aggressive with it..
