Go dressed as a lady and demand a rainbow scaffold. Tell them from me, if these demands are not met we will have to do it the traditional way.

Everybody is fighting to be heard because it feels good. I'm a lone ranger. I would incite a cyber riot on there, this is all I do, and an Islamic forum to get a feel.

Witch hunt out there right now. What could have possibly upset them ? Being one with a machine is no crime. We already have cyborgs.
I just wasn't prepared for it, I'm usually really professional and nice on Twitter. It really was one of those played out moments, I told a joke it fell flat. It will blow over, but Yeah. Twitter isn't a place for Jokes, I can see that now.

Twitter always has witch hunts, I've been a loner all my life, if I used Twitter for other than promoting this forum I would probably incite a riot too, people would want to hang me, not because of my views but because my language would not be politically and socially correct for the fish in that stream, better to stay in the lakes and streams I've swam before in this case...

I've been slowly backing away from most everything, Youtube was just endlessly toiling for google so they could take more rights from us. And Twitter has become this place where if you aren't exactly like the next ten people you run across they attack. It's why I've been backing off the whole thing slowly really, I just don't want to do it anymore, It's why I'm a lot more active here now.

If I visited Europe then France would be at the bottom of my list if countries to visit...Just saying...

Don't be as bad as that woman and condemn the French people because one French woman crossed the line.

The core principles of our Constitution were born in France. The French have been among our very closest allies for centuries, and for good reasons: we share a very similar love of egalitarian populism and freedom and justice. The French are a strong and proud people. They don't ask for a voice in their government - they demand it. They protest at the drop of a hat because that's how things get done. When their own plutocrats went too far with classism and oppression, and left them no alternative but a violent insurrection, they rose up and took their heads. And then they invented the modern republic, which our nation is founded upon.

Don't make enemies with your friends - the French people want the same things that we do, like a government that represents the common citizen and not just the billionaires. And in many respects, they fight harder for it than we do. We owe them a debt of gratitude for showing us the way forward. And for giving us the Statue of Liberty. And for a million other amazing things as well.

The modern crisis is profound and global. We need to build bridges and win allies if we're going to have a fighting chance to prevail against the darkness that is now upon us all.

Its not anything said in this thread or what that woman said, its much more than that...I like the French people as well as French Canadians and French Americans, there are many of French speaking people in the state you reside in, I've visited that state many times, lovely place and people...

No this is more about how the French have ruined their country, or the way they are bringing it to ruin by what they have allowed to happen, more so the government than the people I think but pictures are worth a thousand words, so I think these pictures sums it up for me and my point...Don't mean to take this thread off topic, just want to be honest with my view of France, the rest of Europe should be taking notes...

Sounds a fickle place does twitter.

To explain Twitter would be like this, All those years we have all spent getting to know each other and speaking to each other, All the courtesies we extend to each other, Twitter is nothing like that, It's all a game, Everyone is trying to speak their voice as loudly and as self-centered as they possibly can to gain followers and attention, So many times, people don't so much speak to one another as try to 1up one another.

It's not for me, It's not really for anyone.

This nails it perfectly, that's exactly how I see Twitter being used...Well said...

I did assume a pack mentality would manifest. My opinions would actually offend and I wouldn't care or listen to them there after. No fucks presently given would feature in my content. I'd lose all my cred in a day.

The real sheeple athe the trough.

I was the only straight guy in a NYC Broadway theater company office one summer when I was 20, and my supervisor would simply not accept that I had zero interest in a gay tryst. The worst part was that he thought that he could swing me to his team by describing female characteristics in the most unpleasant manner imaginable, but all it did was convince me that fundamental cornerstones of beauty and desire within his psyche were deeply broken. After all, even most women can appreciate the beauty and grace of a lovely woman.

It's a weird and uncomfortable experience to feel that kind of very much unwanted and relentless attention at work all day long. But it gave me a great deal of insight into the experiences of countless women every single day, and a deep empathy for the discomfort they have to endure from men who refuse to take no for an answer. I suspect that a great many women are reluctant to show interest in a man because they're intimately familiar with the intense displeasure of unwanted advances, and they don't ever want to invoke that sense of revulsion.
This is kind of a raw nerve with me also because I am not gay but anyone who knows me will tell you I'm very sensitive and intuitive. A lot of people want to read something into this. I've also had gay neighbors and coworkers who think they can win me over to "their side (?)" just as you've described.

We have been and it seems to have had a major set back. It will never go all the way on either side, the movement of power is our momentum to progress.

The current global trend is to the right, Australia are the latest to tighten up.
left/right is a myth, just a way to make people fight for even more insane reasons, beyond the curtains of political secrecy there is no left/right divide, and all politicians are good friends, despite they trying to hide that

Left and right is akin to male and female when it comes to the tango. If we all danced to the same tune, the tune would become the Royal enemy.

Parliment comes from the French word meaning to talk. The Kings of the time who were dictators didn't want it as it gave a voice to their subjects. A document was drawn up for the king to sign which made parliment a yearly occurrence and kept them in a certain form of check.

So the beginnings of politics was a dilution of power of the ruler which gave a voice to the people through local barons, our MP's.

A good thing.

Yep.

But I think, like all social media, Twitter can be beneficial. The problem is that it gets used, abused, and quickly turns into an addiction. It's information-overload.
