Well I got back just in time to see there was a delightful surprise in my email:

Stuck on Labor Day!

Hi,

With a little help from my friends and some small subscriptions to the radio shows, I was able to pay the motel through today and buy some groceries.

I have to renew the motel reservation by 11 AM Arizona time, and I’m again down to spare change.

The web developer/marketing person is finishing up work on the upgraded YouTube channel and the Paracast site. It’s taking longer than I hoped, but it will get done within days.

In the meantime, are you able to help me survive for a few more days?

I welcome your subscription to our premium packages for the two radio shows, The Paracast+ and The Tech Night Owl+.

Or, you can send me a donation, please go to: Send Money, Pay Online or Set Up a Merchant Account - PayPal, login and use the Send to friends and family option. Enter my email address, gene@technightowl.com, and click or tap Next to continue the transaction.

I can also accept donations through Facebook Messenger and Apple Pay Cash via the Messages app.

If you’re not able to send a donation, feel free to forward this message to someone who might assist.

If you have any questions about my living situation, please let me know.

Peace,
Gene

Do you think Richard (Ringo) should be made aware of this??:p

It's a miracle. Somehow despite having no money and nobody giving a crap anymore, enough money materialised out of nowhere and he was able to pay for necessities.

I call bullshit on the idea that it was friends and subscriptions - there are no friends left and nobody wants to subscribe any more.

What is even more suspect is that it happened in such a short period of time.

Obviously Schemey thinks we are complete morons.

I have to renew the motel reservation by 11 AM Arizona time, and I’m again down to spare change.

Of course. It's Groundhog day Schemey style for the last 12 years. He either doesn't have enough to pay his rent or his motel bill.

It never ends and magically when those bills must be payed or he is out of the motel, the money will materialise.

As I've said before most people would not choose to live in a motel - it is hardly ideal, but for someone like Gene it is probably the best place.

He absolutely must pay his bill or he will be out on the street immediately with no notice or leeway.

There is no way for him to weasel out of it, and the short gaps in between payments give him less chance to spend the money on things which aren't necessities.

There is no way he can do his serial squatting scam in the motel and get away with it.

That is also perhaps why he is getting so desperate and sending out so many messages - he simply isn't able to spend the "rent" money on whatever he normally does such as gambling and he desperately "needs" to.

The web developer/marketing person is finishing up work on the upgraded YouTube channel and the Paracast site. It’s taking longer than I hoped, but it will get done within days.

Strange how everything takes longer than expected. His accounts get hacked and it takes way longer than normal to get restored and for him to get his money - twice.

There is always something he is waiting for that will magically supply more money and solve all his problems but it never ever comes to fruition.

I would bet after a few days there will be some excuse as to why the website is not completed.

Then even if eventually it gets done there will be another excuse as to why it didn't suddenly make him rich.

Perhaps the haters/stalkers will be brought back into the story as a reason for the failure. Perhaps there will be new characters.

Either way the failure will be somebody else's fault. Nothing to do with Schemey's childish expectations and inability to live in the real world.

In the meantime, are you able to help me survive for a few more days?

No because most people have their own problems and don't have the resources to look after septuagenarian babies who refuse to grow up and live in the real world.

Couldn’t bring myself to listen to programme about Vampires!!.Listened to the Calvin Parker episode.Gene spent the first 5 minutes waffling on about old radio shows he worked on.Then within the first 7 minutes he mentioned working for Jim Moseley!.We could play a great drinking game predicting when Gene mentions Moseley,Saucer Smear, his dog,his ex wife,Roswell et cetera,et cetera,et cetera.
The show itself was dull. Not many listener questions as there are not many listeners left.Randall has a new microphone that can make his voice reverb (wow).Hes no replacement for Biedny or O’Brien.Parker was rather dull but obviously believed something happened,I’m not convinced he was abducted and his fellow abductee has passed away.
Not likely to attract any more subscribers.

I tried listening to the Parker episode but there was too much of Gene's tales of yesteryear and the radio station he was working at when it happened, their ownership, religion and various other garbage that has no relevance to the story and so I had to switch off after a few minutes.

Geney is his own worst enemy and without someone to tell him to shut up he keeps pulling the quality of the show down further and further.

So here's a question, then, and I may have to make it its own thread -- we're all pretty much in agreement that nobody wants to listen to what the Paracast has become, and very few of us really enjoy C2C. What do you all think makes a good paranormal program/podcast?

I enjoy The Unexplained with Howard Hughes because he can conduct a professional interview and has some interest in many of the things that interest us. He's not a self styled researcher or scienecy sounding expert.

Open Minds isn't bad but I normally FF through the first half UFO report.

MonsterTalk has had some good stuff but are openly skeptical (naturally for them). Never hurts to listen to differing opinions.

Can't leave out Last Podcast on the Left - their take on Betty & Barney Hill, the Philadelphia Experiment and a few others (I can't think of right now) have absolutely cracked me up - and surprisingly have had some pretty good assessments.

What I like is something that gets explained to some degree but there is a couple of issues that can't be readily explained, enough to still make things a little messy.

I suppose I could have cleaned that up more and made it more sensible but I was kind of stuck for words.

I'm waiting for the Sasquatch girl to weigh in.
I pmd her a while back about this forum but got no response. No one ever seems to acknowledge her posts and I told her she'd get a better response here but zilch.

Howard Hughes is a proper journalist. He also has a fantastic voice - reminds me a lot of Tom Baker who is also from Liverpool. My only criticism of his show is that there are a lot of very "kooky" guests mixed in with serious ones.

The pictures posted on this thread always stand in contrast to the old photo that Gene typically uses. On one hand he reminds us about his age. On the other hand he is stuck in time or wants to project a different image of himself.

I once had someone come into my office and wonder if an old family photo was really me - yes, at one point my hair was a different color. But time does not stop and should be embraced.

Is this part of the reason why Gene writes about lack of food but apparently dies not take advantage of the meal and food programs at the senior centers? It does not fit into his self image.

In any event, will the revamped Paracast show Gene as he is?

Interesting observations and questions, how Gene persists in showing what must be an old photo at this point, yet is not shy about reminding us he's almost 73. And yes, I definitely imagine Gene having an elevated sense of self which could explain his (apparently) not taking advantages of food banks, etc. Some sense of entitlement there, I suspect sadly akin to the one that let Steve Beizer see no problem with getting an elderly woman to fund the Hawaiian vacation he and his family no doubt "deserved".

Steinberg brings up that he is nearly 73 to garner sympathy to his money begging. That photo he chooses to use is probably the least offensive one of the bunch.

Even she has probably disappeared now. Just like Sasquatch her footprints suddenly end.

She is an interesting one. I'd ignored that forum for a long time, years, then started looking in again earlier this year when the spotlight was put on Gene's shitweaselery. I noticed she posts these links to blog entries that are kinda love letters to Bigfoot. Which I don't mean in a bad way, I think I can relate to daydreaming about this or that mysterious topic. But her activity in the forum seemed to just be that. Then at one point I think Gene and some other guy over there mistook a picture she posted of herself for Hillary Clinton.
