Elon Musk, What's up with that dude?

also what the hell was he thinking?
did he think that he could target someone on twitter call him a pedo and them smoke weed in a popular podcast without any consequences?

About the weed - I had a conversation with a young guy the other day who was surprised to learn that just because it's widely accepted and legal in a growing number of places doesn't mean your employer (and their insurance carrier) is going to be happy about it. More often than not one workplace accident and you fill the cup.

Elon's a drama queen.

This is chicken feed for him, so it's just a stunt.
Elon Musk offered $150,000 for porn film role
Excerpt:
A PORN company that creates weed-themed sex tapes has offered Elon Musk $150,000 (£115,000) to appear in a smut film.

Bosses want the SpaceX and Tesla chief to take on a "non-sex" role in the production, in exchange for cash and cannabis.

Marijuana-loving porn firm XBlaze penned a letter to Elon Musk, calling him a "fearless man" – and offering him a raunchy acting job.

Musk's saucy job offer, seen by The Sun, even includes compensation in the form of edible weed-based treats.

Did you watch the Joe Rogan interview? Rogan was quite impressed with Musk. So was I.
I did not get the impression from the interview that he was a genius. I thought his explanations of technical concepts were rather clumsy, demonstrating his own quite-limited grasp, and certainly not revealing that he is a genius. I thought that Rogan was unduly impressed by Musk's intellect. Which bits in particular were you impressed by?

Initially, I thought the Battery powered car was not sustainable for the long term.... but now I think I was wrong...

I do like the fact that the Hybrids became more prominent partly due to Musks ambitions.

I also liked the work Musk has been doing on solar.

I really like the Space X vtol rocket.

I will remain a proponent of Musk’s visions, but He needs to show maturity and grace right now, and he needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat if he intends to keep going.

It is obvious he helped bring vision to reality, but His management became too bloated... he didn’t focus enough on creating a profitable business soon enough, so perhaps a new CEO should come along, but I doubt they will get rid of Elon entirely, because I doubt other CEOs could have accomplished many of the things he has been able to get done...

So the reality is, Tesla is Elon’s baby... and he will always will be the father of it’s instigation and will likely remain a powerful influence going forward.

I want to think the outcome will ultimately work in favor of the long term benefit of the technologies being considered, regardless of how Elon handles the short term.

I read an article recently about Henry Ford and how he and his son risked his entire company developing affordable V8 engines. Tesla and Musk could use an injection of that kind of innovation and vision. They didn't waste their time on showmanship.

I think what Elon requires is a shot of maturity in addition to his flu shots.

That was resolved rather quickly. I notice that the $40 million is to be distributed among 'harmed investors'. Who are they? It could only be those who bought Tesla shares when the value spiked in the immediate aftermath of Musk's private takeover remarks. In a lot of the reporting it seems to have been suggested that long-term Tesla shareholders were harmed by it. When you are a shareholder, you relish talk of a takeover, because it sends the market value of your shares soaring, and the entity looking to do the takeover has to offer you at least market rate in order to buy your shares off you. So it is a load of nonsense that long-term investors in Tesla were harmed by what Musk did.

I believe musk had to step down or take a timeout for a short-term, about a year so
