Questions about WICCA

Question:
What do you think of Christianity and its views on Witchcraft?
For the most part Modern Christianity is not accepting or tolerant of those who practice WICCA.
However:

There is this. first D& D will not teach you any thing. My younger daughter plays D&D on occasion. She has no interest in the craft. The portrayal of witches as evil and Satan worshipers is offensive.

See the message ?WICCAN's are evil. witchcraft is evil. The Salem witch trials? those were plots by Satan to kill Christians!
This why I rejected Christianity.
Romans 1:21-27 21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. 24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. 26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality
And this is the new testament!
I do not hate Christianity. There are parts of the message of the Goddess to be found there.
By their fruits shall you know them.
The crusades
The Inquisitions
The Holocaust
The priest who prey on children.

No, modern Christianity is not friendly to Wicca. Neither is Judaism, Islam, Atheism, or most other religions and supernatural belief systems. My understanding of Christianity prohibits me from practicing Wicca as well as Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and other religions. There are boundaries that one has to respect if they want to consider themselves faithful to any religion.

That being said, there is no reason why I should be intolerant or condemning of people who have other beliefs. Jesus Christ himself was most critical of the behavior of people within his own faith, Judaism. The Gospels tell us that he spent most of his time outside of the temple and in the company of common folk, even those who were considered traitors and outcasts. Tax collectors, prostitutes, Roman officials, people who were sick and disabled, Jesus ministered to them all. Have I done that? No, not by a long shot. So, if I am going to criticize someone I have to start with the man in the mirror!

If we have something in common, why not celebrate it instead of fight about it? The Ten Perfections to Buddhahood which you posted are remarkably similar to The Beatitudes promulgated by Jesus in Matthew.

Tomorrow is Mabon.
Mabon is considered a time of the Mysteries. It is a time to honor Aging Deities and the Spirit World. Considered a time of balance, it is when we stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hussle-bussle of everyday life. May your Mabon be memorable, and your hearts and spirits be filled to overflowing!
I would like each of you to do the following:
Take a few moments to meditate on the darker aspects of your own soul. Is there a pain you've been longing to get rid of? Is there anger and frustration that you've been unable to move past? Is there someone who's hurt you, but you haven't told them how you feel? Now is the time to take this energy and turn it to your own purposes. Take any pain inside you, and reverse it so that it becomes a positive experience. If you're not suffering from anything hurtful, count your blessings, and reflect on a time in your life when you weren't so fortunate.
When you are ready
seek the balance within yourself
Burn a small measure of sage.
Sit quietly seeking the truth within your self. gaze deep in the deep parts of your soul.
Then dedicate your self to these virtues.
May my heart be gentle
My mind still and open
My sprit unshackled
My awareness keen
My Constance clear
My nature giving
May I be a healing energy
A benefit to all
May my life enrich others
And may I be in balance with nature.
Regardless OF THE NAME OF THE POWER YOU CALL GOD. You will be a better person for this. I recommend doing this until the night of the Sabbath.
May the fey keep watch.
Blessed Be

As I stated I a different topic I truly believe that the previous incarnation of Jesus Was that of the Buddha. There are truths in the teachings of Jesus. But I do not hate them. I shall not condemn you for your beliefs or faith.
As Jesus said "Judge not lest ye be judged."

nivek. don't remember if you were around way back when in those 'waking world/stream of consciousness' days. if so do you remember the several wiccan ladies there. one being a high priestess. we got to know them quite well. corresponded with two of them by email and later by phone. one even invited me to her 'skyclad' wedding. my wife i wished her well but did not attend. for obvious reasons. still i grew quite fond of sadie. the lady who followed the druid path and believed herself better for it. indeed. she was a delight.

Indeed I was and remember quite well Sadie and another was Nyssa, I've spoke to them many times there in the past...Waking World is also where we met the first time in this physical life...I've wondered sometimes how Sadie has been doing, I believe she lived here in the South as well...

I am sorry you missed this event. As one invited you need not have been skyclad. It is my hope you kept in contact with This High priestess.

I was recently asked to perform a love spell. One can not make another fall in love. I can help attract love. But free will must be respected. Love is not something forced. It is freely given. And it comes from more then the pleasures of the flesh.
I can not simply perform a ritual and make one fall in love. It is impossible.
Also one can not impose death or disease. The greatest gift is acceptance of ones place in nature.Man should embrace this wonderful gift it may be the greatest of all the goddesses gifts to man.

I'm not as studied in the crafts as you are, Someone once told me there is a love spell in witchcraft that doesn't always work. But, One can only cast it on themselves to make themselves more desirable to specific individuals. And it's not really a love spell. I think that's about as close as it gets.

I respect the energy of the tree, and dark spirits, and I know from my own experiences a ouija board is no toy. Scared me but good!

My question is about these dark spirits.

How does one know they are not being decieved by a dark spirit pretending to be a good one?

Thanks.

Ouija board spelt Lucifer and one girl started to bawl her eyes out. They all ran out of the house except two, me and Andy remained in touch with the glass as it shot from H to A over and over and then off the table to smack on the floor.

I know it's not Wicca, but isn't black magic used to impose disease or death?

A ghost with a sense of humor?

Or Satan with an evil laugh?

Or two guys just having fun watching the girls run?

Yes, by those who Do not follow the law of three. Those who do so gain massive negative karma. It is easy to preform a ritual of destruction of the flesh. BUT be prepared to pay a heavy price!

The Quiji is a portal to a dark world. Dark entities wait to ensnare those foolish enough to open the door. Don't think your talking to grandma. It is some dark power wanting in. The board must be burned and the ashes ritually scattered to avoid problems. You are warned stay clear of the Quiji!

I missed this.
A dark presence will always have manifestations. Pressure on the head and chest. Difficult breathing. Nervous twitches. Hearing whispers. A low hum. And in extreme cases, nausea and vomiting.
A good sprit will always have a welcoming glow. Let us say your late relative is called. You would know instantly. Did they smoke? Tabaco smell may be present. the sprit would know every detail about you. And Houdini was correct if a person in life never spoke English then so would the sprit. You can not be fooled the difference is very clear.
Hope this helps!
