Physical Fitness What exercise did you did today?

I did enough of those to wear a callous on my assbone literally. But I think that's how I managed to pinch a nerve in my back. Easy to get careless.

I switched over (mostly) to a something that I thought was a roman chair but am not sure what to call it. You prop yourself up on your elbows and let your legs just hang. Pull your legs up straight for a set and then turn to one side to do left/right obliques in sets. Easy to just turn around and do dips after that on the same handles.

The incline bench hits the stomach muscles up high near the rib cage, these hit much lower and make the spine feel good. I still use the incline bench but knocked it down a couple of pegs and try to take it easy. Sometimes I'll do elbow-knee crossovers.
I call em hanging leg raises... Yeah, I will be working those into my list.

That's not fuel to me, that's a heart stopper, milk, eggs and bacon combination...

Canadian Bacon is Country ham,

But I won't lie, The best breakfast ever involves that stuff and some Gravy and Biscuits.

It may be a heart stopper, But When it does stop, It will stop with a smile on it's well fed little beating face.

Yes but it's not just about fat content...:wink8:

Also another thing is blood type and chemistry, what foods that may not be as beneficial to my body are beneficial to others, so whilst my statement is factual it's also subjective lol...

I did some work on the yard diggin a trench that was 40 foot long. mostly to keep the water away from the house.moving wheel barrows of dirt for here to there. 15 loads all together, wouldn`t have been to bad except 3/4 of it was mixed with small gravel. I did have a praying mantis land on my hat bill while out working i took him back to the pecan tree and we stared at each other for a bit.

I have been pushing it to find my limits, then refine the balance.

I can tell I overtrained a bit. Especially the shoulders and chest.

So, I will reduce my workout load a tad.
2 x on each set instead of 3.
3 where I was doing 4...
and if I need to scale back more for a time, I will.

I love the results.

Wife noticed my love handles are almost gone, and this morning I flexed, sucked it in, and from the front and side view I am happy.

No I am not Thor... my arms are just regular arms, but I have a strong and healthy shape, more Plieadian in appearance, which is what I was going for. :)

Now, I will focus on maintenance and balance, and slow but positive progress.

Time to go to the gym...

Wish I could work out like I use to.
4 hours of pumping iron and trying to set personal records every day.

Wow. I think the longest workout I have done, besides a Marathon (5 hours). Is about 3...

Unless we count rock climbing.... we would spend the whole day on that... hiking to the site, setting up, climbing, hiking back...

Too dangerous now for these old bones...

I seem to get plenty of exercise throughout the day, I have not needed to set certain time for exercise, even in the evenings when I'm really tired my dog isn't and he let's me know when its time to walk him lol...

After 26 weeks of a regular schedule, I am taking a full week off from the gym and work to enjoy the holiday week.

But that didn't stop me from doing 12 burpees this morning.

So I made it through the holidays without gaining a pound.
Actualy lost 2 pounds from Halloween through Christmas.

I ate candy, snacked in all the goodies, but maintained a good protein intake which kept me from binging on the sweets.

Cheese, nuts, and yogurt are part of my daily snacks, and it keeps me from reaching for the sugary stuff as much...Also increased fish, chicken, and egg intake.

Working my ass off at the gym 3 to 4 times a week.
In 2019, adding a very physical dance day. Just me. Will be teaching myself some of the Dick Van Dyke moves and some of from the new Lin-Manuel Miranda lamp lighter dance moves from the old and new marry poppins movies.

(No, the new movie is not even competing with the old one, but it is well done nonetheless.)
