I read about Dulce base a few years back originally, and I became obsessed with it. Mostly because, like
@wwkirk said, it's red meat. However, I watched an interview Schneider had and I could tell he wasn't sincere. His story sounded... a little too well put together, but the concept, it was awesome to me. Then, I remember reading that he had told his ex-wife if something ever happened to him, she knew why... and he was found not too long after, apparently strangled with piano wire (not too sure on this, read this somewhere but was informed by someone else he was hung/hung himself...?) so that kind of made me
re-believe everything he laid a foundation down for.
Eventually I found a really long document, an interview with Thomas Castello apparently not too long before he went missing... He described the base and its inner working, what he saw with his security privileges, and claims he met an extraterrestrial in the base that wanted to switch sides, I can't really remember the specifics as it's been a very long time since I've looked at it... I will check my files to see if I can find it because I do think I saved it somewhere and I will attach it at the bottom of my post...
I know people were saying the photos Castello released were from the set of a movie, but apparently there was a case that the photos Castello released were dated
before the release of that specific movie by a large enough margin where it couldn't have been true...
Anyway, I think it's a shame that if any of it is true, it gets muddled with so much fiction (maybe Schneider) just for the sake of either making fun of people who truly believe in these kinds of things, trying to get their attention away from something else, or just for public sensationalism....
(it's very long, and I may have posted this in a Dulce Base post I made a year or so ago but for those that wish to divulge their curiosity...)
